As the other reviewer mentioned - GCB were also fastidiously clean! (Which was even more impressive since they refinished the drywall at the end of the job and it typically makes a huge mess) Let me tell you, there was NO MESS. They even rinsed off my houseplant. We had some rotted boards they replaced and then we realized our deck was warping and luckily they realized our 2 main 6"x6" posts had rotted. They replaced those beams with 8"x8" beams which leveled out our deck before anything catastrophic happened. Perfect job. Then we had them finish 3 unfinished rooms in our cellar. They sheet rocked the walls and ceiling and painted and put up mouldings and installed flooring. This looks beautiful and has really added value to our home. Alex and Jacob worked long and hard on all these projects over a few months. They really know what they were doing. We would HIGHLY recommend Appalachian Construction and Handyman.

We had a bit of unusual geometry (corner lot) and NRV was very helpful with suggestions and ideas. We delayed doing this work for quite a few months, but they were happy to put us on their list when we were ready. When they started, they were very efficient and managed to get it done in a warm weather window of the winter. We had a hedge removed, old fence removed next to existing landscaping (no damage to plants), and a new fence installed. The fence looks really great. I've had other fencing work done by other local firms and I was much happier with the responses from NRV. Thanks to Eddie and the folks at NRV.

The guy who came out (Eddie) was also much nicer and took more time to go over what I wanted. They ended up fencing a little larger of an area than the previous company quoted me for. They happened to be available earlier, and did a very good job. He was very responsive during the time of the installation, and made sure to talk to me about utility lines because he was concerned about how Miss Utility had marked them. The only thing I didn't like was the fence latches they used. That said, I never talked to them about it beforehand. I'm sure if I had done so they would have put in whatever I wanted. The way they do them are so that the gate blends in with the fence, and you really can't notice them. The fence has been up at least 1-2 months and none of the gates are sagging, including a 5 foot one. In addition, the contractor who was working on the inside of my house said he thought the 5 foot gate looked like it would sag. I texted Eddie about it and although he said they used sag-free kits, he still came over and put a diagonal brace on it just to make sure I was happy with it. My only negative for them is that they seem to sometimes be bad about calling you back (based on their reviews). I also needed an extension to my deck railing so I emailed him to ask about that and never heard back. I'm very happy with the fence though. The original company that had quoted me came back out to talk to me about outdoor lighting and even they commented on how nice the fence looked. Next summer I intend to replace some old fence and put down some new fence to line my actual property line and I will definitely be using NRV Fence & Handrail.

She [my mother] is an active 73-year-old woman who recently had the misfortune of learning she had a severe leak in her roof that was causing significant internal damage to her home. Fearing the costs associated with roof repair or even a potential replacement, my mother attempted to repair the problem herself by replacing the shingles. Her 13 yr old grandson recorded her on the roof doing the work herself and then he sent the video to me. I was so proud of her strength and ability that I wanted to show her off to the world. Therefore, I sent the video to the local news stations with the hope they would run a story on her. Once WDBJ7 broadcast her story, Cenvar Roofing management saw it and stepped in immediately, offering to take care of her situation at NO CHARGE to her. From the moment that Cenvar associates stepped foot onto mom's property to the day they completed the roof repair, she said "every crew member was friendly and treated her [job] as if she were a paying customer". Additionally, the associates saw that mom's home did not initially have gutters or downspouts either. Management decided to surprise her with brand new gutters and downspouts to ensure mom's house would not experience any follow-on damage due to un-channeled rainwater. Today, my mom [and stepdad] are over the moon and love the work that Cenvar Roofing did for them in their time of need. She admits that she enjoys watching the rainfall now and seeing it flow from her roof to the gutters, down the drain spouts, and away from her home. This was truly a gift that Cenvar Roofing gave to her, the ability to rest easy knowing that her roof was professionally and expertly repaired, and a little extra work was done all to support a member of the community.
