We primarily wanted a privacy fence for the obvious privacy factor and the appealing aesthetics of one. It is important to state that there can be many issues with warping and the falling apart of a fence when you get prebuilt sections from a big-box hardware store. Not to mention delays in service if you get one of their subcontractors to install it. Not everyone will have these issues, but I know too many people that have dealt with such problems. For all these reasons, we were thrilled to select a quality and locally owned business, A Walker Fence Company, for our project. For starters, the owner, James Walker, came out and did the initial assessment and quote for us. James was thorough, knowledgeable, and genuine through the whole process. He showed us samples of what he uses for the materials and pictures of his work. His quote was a fair price, especially since he builds the whole fence himself instead of using prebuilt sections. Additionally, he was the one primarily building the fence during the whole construction process. It took him just under a week to finish it, and he worked the whole week through without taking a day off. His work ethic alone speaks volumes. A lot of the fence was not up to code and they refused to come back and fix it. My HOA has been ony case ever since. Now I have to an attorney and hope a court order and a law suit will get them to fix what they messed up.

Yeah it looks nice, but the gate post was NEVER TRULY PLUMB and the big fence panel WAS NOT LEVEL (almost off by a quarter bubble) because he had set the gate post way too low into the ground (instead of using a taller 4x4 post like he should have)! Kevin cuts corners and charges way too much for his less than professional skill set.

They will not touch or fix ANYTHING he has done and they make that very clear. Kevin Farris is not reliable and promised to help us fix a part of our very very expensive privacy fence that he put up only 3 months prior and went MIA. Never returning our phone calls after we spent thousands and thousands of dollars with him and even gave him and his dad more work in the future!!! His dad called us to let us know that he hasn't paid him for the work he helped his son with. If family can't trust him, no one can. Use at your own Risk. We called the BBB one day and we were the second call about him in one day. Not good.

Last month my gate failed and they replaced 2 AA batteries and charged over $450. I am 40 minutes from their office. Gate failed again Monday and they offered no emergency service and when questioned about prior charges the tech said he would have owner call me. No call until last night after I called again. Owner said he had been feeling poorly, it was raining, and he was off......I hung up and am now getting another company for the issue. You can judge for yourself but I am never using this company again.
