Apparently many years ago this was an Italian restaurant, and has then changed hands several times since. It's now under new ownership and is technically a "Mediterranean" restaurant, but the menu leans very heavily towards Italian with lots of pizza and pasta options. The lunch menu is basically the same as the evening menu, but with reduced prices for the pizza and pasta dishes. I went for the "Red Cat pizza" - chicken, pesto and mushrooms. Very nice, but the base was a bit tough for my liking (although I may have been spoilt by a recent trip to Naples!). My mum had the linguine bolognese which she absolutely loved, and my dad had chicken and mushroom pasta. My dad isn't normally a fan of foreign cuisine, but he absolutely loved this and raved about how good it was. We also shared a bottle of wine which was very nice indeed.
