What makes this park stand out from the rest is that it is an open-air museum where you can enjoy over 30 different sculptures from both local Chilean artists as well as international artists. I have trained with my soccer team here various times and it is a great strip to run around, with no large dips or holes plus it has good lighting at night. There is also a playground not only for children, but for adults with exercise equipment. In the summer they host the annual Jazz in the Park where you can enjoy the worlds best Jazz artists for free while enjoying one of Santiago's finest public parks (you can also pay for seats...but it is more fun on the other side of the Mapocho). They also hold events throughout the year (although the majority take place during the summer) and are mostly open to the public. They also have a small room to show exhibits throughout the year. The exhibits are constantly changing, and usually show the work of young Chilean artists. It is super easy to get here. If you don't want to run from where you are, I recommend taking the metro to Pedro de Valdivia and walking the 3 blocks to the park.

About a 10 minute walk from the metro Plaza Egaña, this community sports center is the perfect spot…read morefor all ages and sports fanatics. They have both an indoor and outdoor basketball court as well as tennis courts and playgrounds for children. There are changing rooms, bathrooms and showers as well! Above all else though, this is a perfect soccer option. They have both a larger synthetic soccer field (5-6 players per side) as well as a smaller, cement field (4 players a side) and an indoor court on those rainy days. The prices range from 15 to 25 mil an hour, depending on where you are playing (the synthetic field costs 25). Everything is very well maintained, nicely lighted and sometimes, if there isn't anyone scheduled after you, the owners will let you play a little longer without charging. Besides renting by the hour, the center also hosts very inexpensive soccer championships (basically just enough to cover the cost of the field and the referee fee). Overall, a great, safe option to play pichanga with friends. Call ahead of time to reserve the soccer fields or basketball/tennis courts.

There's games like ping pong, life size chess, and others. There was also an energetic Zumba class going on but was a little loud, right next to the poor zoo animals that had to listen to it. The animals included llamas, goats, ponies, ducks, swans, parrots, peacock (white and traditional), pheasants and a variety of chickens. There is also a large lake for people to rent kayaks and paddle around. There's a big grassy area for picnics and a few food trucks to grab a small bite. There a decent playground for the kids to run off some energy as well. Nice public space. Apparently there's an artesian market but maybe not the day I was there.
