From that point on, it doesn't cost you anything unless you choose to spend money. It's a short walk from the parking lot to the beach. We had gotten there early, and decided to rent an umbrella and a pair of lounge chairs, which cost us $35 for the day. Considering we ended up spending nearly 7 hours on the beach, it was definitely worth the purchase price. The beach is gorgeous, and the water is rock free. It did get quite busy, but we actually enjoyed the people watching. There are vendors that walk up and down the beach, selling ice, creams and drinks, but there are also little Kioskos on the property that you can walk to easily to order hot food. At the one we visited, we got delicious slushy's, Pinchos, and empanadillas that were all delicious. We had a great time, and would absolutely go back in a heartbeat! When you leave the gated parking lot, you are literally around the corner from the Luquillo kioskos if you want to hit them up for shopping or dinner after your beach day. Makes things super convenient!

Try to be there in the morning due to limited parking space. The water slide is actually behind the community houses next to river Rio Pitahaya. The natural slide only can access through this location. The residents here create a concrete step pathway to reach the water slide. Parking at the property was $5. It is worth the money for the concrete step. It look scary to slide down the natural slide. My wife was scare at first. After she saw me slide down several time, she finally do it herself. The trick is you can start at the middle slide by climbing the rock on the side and slide down to increase your confidence. Once you got it, you will enjoy higher location. I recommend you wear water shoes for this location. This location do not have facilities, so go to the bathroom at Luquillo before you come in.

We hiked a little further away to a much larger waterslide and were able to enjoy both. The water was refreshing and not too cold but still cool. There are some shallow areas and some deep areas. This beach is amazing -- clean, soft sand, clear water, calm waves. It looked like there may be some reef or wave break way out in the distance. So, that probably helps. When I visited (October), it was pretty empty. Hardly anyone on the beach most days and it's a very long stretch of sand. Nearby, there are plenty of restaurants too. But, it is mainly a quiet residential area and locals going here. Overall: Great beach. Perfect if you want to swim and enjoy the water. Sand isn't bright white (it's more of a dark tan). But, it's still beautiful and amazing. Highly recommended.

There was a small pavilion with info on the tree and its history. While here we also saw a large heard of horses in the nearby field. This wont be a destination thing to do, but you can definitely stop by en route to your next thing for a couple of photos. Oh, be careful if you touch the tree. It has spikes on the limbs!

Chances are if you have come to Fajardo to pilot a kayak through a mangrove forest to experience…read morethe tiny glowing dinoflagellates of Laguna Grande, you will begin your adventure here at Parque Pasivo Las Croabas. Most days around sunset, the place is teeming with tourists who have come in from San Juan or other distant resorts just for the evening's bioluminescent bay (or "bio-bay") tour. Numerous tour operators are stationed all around the dock with huge racks of kayaks, and streets of the park are lined with other vendors taking advantage of the crowds. Another reason you might visit this park would be to catch a water taxi over the Pasaje de San Juan to one of the white sand islands of the Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. There are a few companies offering the service to Cayo Icacos for around $25 per person, just a quick 20 minute ride over the choppy bay to your own Gilligan's Island fantasy. We used Captain Mingo's yellow boat (search TripAdvisor for more info) and had a great afternoon of snorkeling, swimming, and lounging under the shade of our own palm tree. We actually spent our recent PR vacation based in Las Croabas, so I visited this park every morning during my run through the neighborhood: down the hill to the park, up past Ocean View Condos and the police station and back down to Seven Seas beach, then past the Las Cabezas de San Juan Preserve (which surrounds Laguna Grande) and back home. It's a much different place early in the day, with grizzled old fishermen and their wives sitting in the shade, sipping cafe con leche before a day on their boats or staffing the many restaurants and pubs overlooking the small harbor. On New Year's Day, a meetup of classic car aficionados was in full swing, complete with party music and picnics. Everyone was excited to show off their muscle cars and allowed us to photograph at will before we ventured over to the rocky shore to pick up hands full of polished beach glass. Local families use this park as you would any neighborhood park. The new pirate ship playscapes are enjoyed by small kids and the many colorful pavilions (with a sturdy concrete food prep area) can be reserved for birthday parties and other celebrations. Know before you go: -- No swimming at the adjacent beach. It's choppy & surrounded by boat traffic. -- Restrooms with sinks are available, but bring your own toilet paper; it doesn't seem to be replenished often. -- Parking at evening/night can be a challenge, with the influx of bio-bay goers and diners at the restaurants surrounding the square. -- Do make reservations if you intend to eat dinner nearby. There are no walk-ups, except at the few food trucks.

Seven Seas Beach was one of those for me. Coming from the mainland, it almost felt unfair how naturally beautiful this place was--clear water, palm trees, soft sand, and mountain scenery all blending together into one peaceful view. AMBIANCE Parking: There's a parking lot but there's parking on the road. I'd probably prefer parking on the road if you're going to leave as the beach closes (the line can get long) Seating: Plenty! Whether it's in the main beach or the hidden beach you got a lot of choices. Vibes: The area is a more calmer side of Puerto Rico. Fishing-town environment with local bars, seafood spots, and opportunities for bio tours. The main beach is really nice with with turquoise water, green palms, and views toward the surrounding landscape. There are a few kiosks setup if you do want to grab some food. If you're up for an adventure, coming from the main entrance, you go through a forest (enjoy the sights and sounds, like the coquis) for a good 30 minutes you can enjoy "playa escondido" a beautiful secluded beach with the common calm, shallow, and crystal clear waters but less human traffic and a better view of sunset. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. B-E-A-utiful! I'm glad to have stumbled across this spot. My only wish was that I was there longer to enjoy and take it all in. Beautiful scenery, calm waters, relaxing atmosphere, and enough nearby activity without ruining the natural vibe.
