The parking here is free you park at the kioskos. Honestly though, I wasn't a fan of this beach. It is very crowded because of the close proximity to the kioskos and El Yunque. Because of the high traffic we found it to be really dirty. People don't really pick up after themselves which is sad because it was probably once a really nice beach. I'm used to really nice clean beaches so I know when a beach isn't well maintained and unfortunately it seems that tourist have really turned this beach to its current condition. The sand felt very dirty and the water wasn't as clear but I jumped in anyway and immediately my face was itchy.

Very beautiful beach! The water was so comfortable and blue ! It wasn't hot and it wasn't cold , just perfect! It wasn't a busy beach which was nice. The beach was relaxing and calm. We went everyday we were there and even caught the sunrise on our last day. This is kind of a private beach so nobody there to rent umbrellas or chairs so bring your own.

A long stretch of gorgeous soft sand beach ranging from strong surf to, light waves, to extremely calm depending on the location of the beach you're on.

Had a nice time at this beach. Seemed to be more of a local hang out, which was good. there were people playing volleyball, throwing frisbees, kids in the water. Some liter on the beach, but not too bad. Parking was a tough to find since it only has a very small lot, and some parking along the sidewalk.

One of the best beaches in Puerto Rico post Maria, clean accessable Good for whole family and surfing

Beautiful calm beach in Luquillo. It's near residential areas with couple eatery available nearby. It opens 8am and closes 6pm. It's very close to Yunque national forest as well.

    Beach view looking north east.

Love the ambiance, scenery! Wish it would be cleaner, too much seaweed by the shore.

Hardly anyone on the beach most days and it's a very long stretch of sand.

Beach? Yes. After a hike from El Yunque, we decided to chill and check this place out…read more Parking: Fairly manageable, though it can definitely get busy during peak hours and weekends. Vibes: You're not too far away from El Yunque or the famous Luquillo kiosks. This is more of a bring-your-own setup. Plenty of beach space from the sand, some grass, and the dock to spread out with towels, chairs, coolers, or just post up under the palms. Honestly cleaner than I expected for such a popular public beach. The calm water was pleasant. What makes this stand out are the vendors - they have kiosks on the beaches and the Luquillo kiosks. This beach has balance. Families grilling and hanging out, couples relaxing, friend groups playing music, tourists enjoying the scenery, and locals simply enjoying their island. It somehow feels lively without becoming overwhelming. Overall: 5 Stars. Clean, calm, and iconic. Relaxing waters, beautiful scenery, nearby food, and an atmosphere that feels both local and welcoming. Whether you're doing a solo recharge day, family beach trip, or stopping through after El Yunque, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. Add this place on your list of to-dos. TIPS * Come earlier for easier parking and a more relaxed setup * Calm waters make this more beginner/family friendly than other beaches * Sunset here hits different * Luquillo is named after a former chief
