I have purchased a number of items from Victoriana over the past few months since moving into my new bungalow. These include bespoke, individually designed, hand crafted pieces of furniture and I can only praise the level of quality, workmanship, and after-sales care. James from Victoriana designed, made and installed a large pine bespoke unit in my conservatory which perfectly suits my needs - hiding all my clutter. They had wonderful ideas to make the unit functional and attractive which I had not even considered. Their attention to detail throughout the process was meticulous and I have had many friends and family members comment on how lovely the unit is. Any slight hiccups were dealt with quickly and without fuss. James has also replaced a small section of my old, rustic pine worktop which had become rotten around the tap thus preventing me having to replace the entire worktop. Again, I cannot fault the workmanship. I am due to have a new TV cabinet delivered on Thursday and honestly can't wait to see it as I know I will not be disappointed. I do not consider their furniture or services to be overpriced especially considering the time they have given me answering general questions about the care of my own wooden furniture. I would not hesitate to recommend Victoriana, and will certainly be visiting them again, I do hope others do too as they will not be disappointed. Andrea S

Brought a kitchen from Victorians had and stil having trouble with it…read more To start with it was delivered and turned out to be three different colours the units were twisted and not square doors were stiff and some would not open they sent a guy around to hand paint it and trim doors so they would open freely so I ended up with hand painted units not sprayed it was not farel and ball colours which they said it was . it was just cheap paint nearly the same shade The units are still twisted as they could not straighten them and what's more now all the knots in the wood are showing through so it will now need stripping and treating then repainting yes they did give me a £1000 pound credit note to spend at Victoriana but I did spend in excess of £ 13k so now I have a kitchen which needs a lot of work and as usuall no one wants to know be warned they will only be to glad to take your money but after service is rubbish once bitten twice shy Stuart Bailey

My cottage doesn't lend itself to a three piece suite, un less I swap the dining and living rooms around, so buy individual pieces suits me very well. Their beds seem good too, but I love my own!

In addition this store provides a short cut from one side of town to the other, so it would be rude not to have a rest in the lovely suites. They also sell carpet, and theres a selection of bedlinen. However, we chosse here because the range is so good you don't need to go anywhere else. Help is on hand if you need it otherwise just browse through the variety of carpets on offer. Purchasing was easy and someone comes round to measure up. Fitting was equally as pain-free and quite frankly that's how I want it to be. Good quality carpets at reasonbable prices and no hard-sell tactics and no unknowledgeable salespersons. All in all a pleasurable experience in buying carpets!

After receiving an email confirming delivery on the 17th, followed by one instructing us to have £40 in cash ready for the driver, my husband left work to ensure someone was home. Then we received a call from a courier saying the driver wouldn't reach us due to too many deliveries. He promised to call back--he never did. We waited until 11pm with no update and no sofa. We'd already given away our old one that morning, trusting the new would arrive. I've had to take another day off work just in case it comes today. Calls to customer service were cut off twice. No support. No accountability. Just stress and silence. We feel ignored, let down, and frankly shocked by the treatment received. I'm escalating this complaint and urging others to think twice before ordering from B&Q. Customers should never feel this unimportant.

It wasn't possible for me to go to the shop so everything was arranged with Ian on the phone and emails. The order was not straightforward due to involving a choice of fabric for the chairs and needing additional items such as safety bars and special bedding plus my decision to add a matching bed and chair for myself. Ian's knowledge and advice was invaluable and everything was delivered and installed very efficiently within nine days of my first enquiry. The chairs have been designed with tot many useful features for me to list here, I just recommend looking at The Bed Shop before considering other suppliers.

They stock all types of beds including adjustable & for special needs, mattresses, pillows, recliner chairs and bedding. They have an onsite factory to make or personalise your bed. I believe it is a family run business, the staff are friendly, helpful and informative. We were advised to take a elderly relative and ended up buying for our selves as well. The care and time they took was amazing. Discussing all aspects of possible back problems, sleeping habits, weight, height etc. Their prices are really good value, much less than other comparable products. There is parking on site.
