It's Thank You Thursday, so what better time to review the doctor who delivered my baby girl…read more Dr Bissinger is a top notch doctor. He's an expert at what he does, loves what he does and has incredible bedside manner. When you are pregnant you visit your OBGYN a lot, so it's important to have good relations with your doctor. Dr B is super knowledgeable, but most importantly he really cares about his patients. If you have a question you can call him up anytime and he will be there for you. I could not have been more thankful for this, especially during Covid when there are a million questions about what you can and can't do. Everyone at the practice is super sweet too -- Dr Valarezo, all of the nurses and the front desk staff. I really appreciated this. It was always nice to see friendly faces, especially since my husband couldn't come to most visits because of Covid. I had such a positive birthing experience because of Dr B. He has a great sense of humor, and at points he even had me laughing on the delivery table, which I never in a 100 years thought I'd be doing. I developed an infection postpartum and needed antibiotics. There was a mishap and they didn't get called into my pharmacy before the closed up for the night. I really needed the antibiotics that night, and Dr B literally had me on the phone while he was searching for a pharmacy that was still open. If that doesn't speak volumes about the kind of doctor he is than I don't know what does.... Most importantly - my baby girl is healthy and happy. I'm so thankful to have had such a great OBGYN!

I came here as a new patient this past Friday and I couldn't have had a better experience!…read more The appointment was so easy to make over the phone, the new patient paperwork was emailed to me ahead of time so I can fill it out before getting to the office, there was no wait time once I got there, the office was very clean, and all the staff I encountered there was so friendly. This was my first time scheduling an annual gyno appointment with a male doctor so I was initially hesitant, but Dr. Hirsch and the rest of the staff made me feel comfortable the entire time. He has such great bedside manner, and he's very thorough and professional. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new gyno in the area!

The first two years I scheduled with her, I waited about 2-3 hours... This year, I scheduled for the first appt of the day thinking I would be in and out, back to work... Nope! She's not even in the office yet and is an hour late for her first appt! No wonder she was so backed up the last appts I've had with her. Sigh, I wish I could give her more stars but she really needs better time management. Unfortunately, I won't know if she's improved because I'm switching doctors next year. I can't deal with the long waits.

Love Dr. Dreyfuss…read more She delivered my first and will be delivering my second. She's been doing this for years! She is sweet, friendly, personable and informative. Not only that, but she actually cares and takes her time with her patients. I've thought about other practices before hers but all of them had rotating doctors so I would never know who I would see during my check ups but with her there is only her and I love that. Only thing I could say that is negative is that the wait can be long, like an hour to two hours. I never minded since when you go in to see her, she really answers your questions, goes through your whole chart and history and checks up on you. Besides I have time to catch up on a lot of things during that time like reading, researching, or small talk with other moms and their experiences. Can't be happier with Dr. Dreyfuss, her nurses and receptionist! They are all amazing!

This is not an easy task to find adequate words to describe what Dr. Marc Colton has done for me -…read morefor my health, my well-being, my life. It all started in the ER where I was admitted with acute urinary retention. The degree of retention was critical and the heavy urinary bleeding would not even allow for a functional cystoscopy observation. A catheter could not be installed to relieve the bladder. Dr. Colton performed a complex emergency operation to resolve the immediate aspects of the situation and managed to install a supra-pubic catheter to prevent this kind of emergency from happening. His professional confidence, medical mastery and genuine care were unprecedented. I have been around enough time and have seen enough doctors, including urologists, to identify and fully appreciate it. During the following 18 weeks I was seeing Dr. Colton in his office. My problems were BPH with the prostate of "enormous size" (his words) and a very weak and flabby bladder. He decided to give my bladder a rest by regularly changing supra-pubic catheters and finally scheduled a Greenlight TURP laser surgery for me. By that time I knew that Dr. Colton was one of the very first and very best urologists in this country who performed and perfected this surgical procedure that has become so important for so many men. The surgery went amazingly well with excellent results. I did not expect it, but soon after the operation I became a normal, healthy person who does not need to be catheterized in order to empty the bladder. My life got literally reopened for me again with all my beloved activities. I could breath deeply and freely again. I am alive and I am free. This says it all. And this is all thanks to the brilliant surgeon and incredible man, Dr. Colton. As a surgeon, he is boldly decisive and, at the same time, scrupulously attentive to every single detail of the procedure he performs. As a person, he is warm, caring and always supportive. For me Dr. Colton is a brilliant doctor who gave me my life back.

No surprise that she gets a lot of the walk-ins because you wouldn't willfully make an appointment with her. Big holes in her appointment calendar. She gave me a physical, told me I had a serious condition, then picked up her phone for a 5 minute personal chat. She ushered me out of the door without ever again mentioning my condition, the seriousness, or recommending a course of action, which is nearly always surgical intervention. Unacceptable. Banu will never get near me again. The rest of the medical staff has been wonderful.

This review is not about the quality of care I received by the medical staff. Rather, it is about…read morethe Consensus Health corporate culture which, in my opinion, focuses on corporate profits. First, here is what I learned: Consensus Health is a New Jersey medical organization with dozens of 'practices' across New Jersey. Two such practices in the Denville/Rockaway area are the 'Skylands Medical groups'. The Skyland Medical Group I sought care from operates as the 'Denville Associates of Internal Medicine.' My experience with this Consensus Health organization focused on gross over-billing for an office visit. This resulted in a time-consuming appeals process, an admission by the organization of a billing mistake, and a partial reduction in the revised bill I received, a new bill which partially addressed their billing mistake. This failure to take adequate responsibility for their mistake and to (in my firm opinion) focus on corporate profit reminded me of the unfair, unethical practices of United Health Care, the largest Health Insurance provider in the U. S. To maximize profit for the a simple office visit I requested, the bill was modified to include a service that was not requested by me and (in my opinion) not provided and not covered by either my Medicare or Anthem Blue Cross insurance. Rather than spend effort on another time-consuming appeals process, I paid the bill before it was sent to their 'collections department'. NOTE: Sometimes a business responds to a critical review by providing a one-sided response with no opportunity for the reviewer to respond. If I feel I'm further mistreated I'll make the effort to respond in more detail, with copies of documents, a voice mail message left on my phone, and more details.
