Starting at the front desk, everyone I came in contact with was so nice. And never once did I feel that Dr Morse was in a rush.

Their facility is very modern and professional, and very inviting from the moment you walk in. My husband and I were treated so graciously, offered waters, (who does that anymore?) and did not wait more than 10 minutes to see our nurse practitioner Holli Johnston. She took her time to get to know us and our health, and did not make us feel rushed at all. She got to know us on a personal level before doing any health information and questions. She really genuinely cared for us as individuals first before anything else was addressed. We have been with Brio a year, and Holli. They always get us timely appointments, and we could not be more pleased with the care and compassion that has been given us. I would give Brio a 10 rating if they had it! And Holli is the best!!

I am a healthy male by objective standards. Blood pressure and weight in the healthy range. On NO heart, weight or blood pressure medications. My real issue was being required to provide all my insurance information in advance before the appointment... sending digital images of my cards, and then receiving a $1,273 out of pocket charge bill, including more than $500 for an initial office visit charge. A ~ $75 X-ray charge seemed reasonable though for a toe that I had stubbed and seemed to be slow and healing. I declined the referral for physical therapy on the toe. SMH. I called the office to discuss the exorbitant bill. And explained that I thought medicare would cover almost everything in it. They acted like they didn't know.I said I would be following up with medicare myself and expected they would be doing the same. Called back a month later and found out they'd dropped the ball again. And nothing had been done to confirm the amounts that medicare allowed. They acted like they didn't know I had insurance, and Medicare coverage. Of course.I got the run around saying it was the claims department fault, not billing department's fault. I reminded "Casey" that this reflects negatively on the doctor. I asked who should be held accountable, and she didn't like the question or the way she was being talked to so she hung up on me.

On the day of my appointment -- half an hour before I expected the call -- I got a phone call telling me I had to come in person. I could NOT, which is the reason I scheduled on the phone... I was told the cancellation wouldn't be held against me. The front desk lady fumbled around on the schedule and scheduled an in person visit for two days later. I woke up to more news about the measles outbreak and decided it was unsafe to go in person as I have a five month old baby who would have to come with me. Just a few hours later I received a MyChart letter addressed by Brittany Ellis, NP (thought this was fairly unprofessional. Why not use the clinic name?) telling me I was no longer welcome to schedule there because I "canceled" two visits. I canceled ONE visit. They allowed me to schedule a phone appointment and then told me "OOPS! Not sure why it let you do that!" Just very much annoyed I was told the first cancellation wouldn't be held against me since the system allowed it to be scheduled in error. I cannot find good primary care in the upstate and this continues to be true. Cannot wait to move.

She also said the doctor only does one new patient appointment per day when I asked for a back-to-back appointment with my husband. Receptionist tried to discourage me from seeing same doctor as my husband even though she had no idea why I wanted that. This doctor may be great, but I will never know-- no chance to make an appointment. This receptionist's handling of my call just cost this practice the revenue stream from two new patients. Seems like they do not care. Frustrating. If I could have put no stars, I would have. I wonder if the doctor knows how the front office is handling calls.

My doctor is very good. BUT the practice is managed very poorly, dangerously in my opinion…read more Messages to your doctor are read by / replied to by various office staff. I've had two significant issues with communications to my doctor. My most recent experience was that the office staff did not know my doctor had changed my medication and didn't convey that to me when I reached then (a day after the new medication was sent to the pharmacy). Two different office staff were contentious about having the nurse call me back. I insisted. When we spoke I discovered that my doctor had changed my medication. The people reading and answering the emails on MyChart had no clue what my doctor had done or either they neglected to let me know of the changed medication. In addition, they created a post dated email chain to cover their oversight. Any of these is unacceptable if you are to believe you're communicating with and being cared for by your doctor or their nurse. Practice management at Coventry Primary Care RISKS patients' health, IMHO. My doctor is great.., BUT if you want to be assured that the intended doctor or nurse received your communication, in my experience, it must be by US mail since it"s unlawful to open mail addressed to someone else. Using MyChart, there is no telling who reads the email you think you're sending to your doctor or whether the message you needed to get to them was ever delivered. Oh, and there is no calling the practice directly. All calls are routed through an offshore call center that you must go through and they determine whether or not you can talk to someone in the practice. Again, only my experience, my opinion. But based on two significant issues revolving around poor and inaccurate communication, I would look elsewhere for a doctor.
