Overpriced, dirty, run by the dimmest minds in London, and filled with abhorrent food I wonder how anyone aside from Americans could possibly rate this place well (and only then because they sell American food supplies, albeit at exorbitant prices).
I'm assuming the previous reviewers are American students on a study-abroad program, and aside from microwaving ramen noodles have zero knowledge about food, cooking, cleanliness, customer service, pricing, and/or pretty much anything aside from Longchamp bags, yoga pants, and how to badly match chunky knee high leather boots with said pants (in those three categories they are truly peerless -- no doubt a source of much national pride).
Their prepared food is impossibly gross, certainly too many days old, and weird. Pre-cooked schnitzel next to overcooked kofte, next to seafood salad, next to a plethora of other items which I can't imagine anyone ever ordering.
Their charcuterie is again, massively overpriced and of very poor quality (the deli counter at any Tesco embarrasses theirs), as is their meat selection. Even their milk is off-brand and usually very close to its sell by date.
The tiled floor is disgustingly dirty, and don't even consider looking in obscure corners -- if you're at all haunted by grime you'll never sleep again.
This place is essentially an off-license mugging off everyone that ever steps inside. (All that said I occasionally buy stuff there -- I mean, everyone needs Kraft Macaroni and Cheese sometimes). read more
