    Meatball sandwich

We came here for lunch when it was absolutely freezing outside. We ordered the meatball sandwich and the stew which were good. Nothing special, but the food was nice.

Love this place! Tried their full breakfast; American way bacon , tried their chili jam. Well balance Anericano. They offered many homemade foods...

    Breakfast brulee reveals

I can't believe I almost left out this hidden gem we visited during our stay in London. This is one of the most pleasant find for breakfast / brunch that we had found when we were there. I was in search for English breakfast ( how could I not as a visitor) and I have came across this place and the famous breakfast restaurant on the main street where there was a line ( I couldn't even re call the name of that place, it's not important) this was quite a hard place to find since the streets in London are quite small and curvey ( compare to what we have in the US) we almost gave up looking for it but I was so glad that we didn't. It was one of the most memorable meal I had there. We ordered the full breakfast and the breakfast brulee, some coffee and tea and even a curry chicken sandwich to go ( since we didn't know when we will actually eat again) they were all amazingly fresh and good. It seemed like a simple dishes with scramble eggs, smashed avocado, smoke bacon and yogurt. But they all had a magical touch of the freshness of ingredients. And a berries granola yogurt with a topping of brulee?? I was in heaven !! Well of course, I am a creme brulee lover, so its nor hard for me to love that. But it was just such an healthy version to enjoy caramelized sugar :) Not to mention, it has a very quaint, tuck away and easy vibe in such a busy city. It just brought back all the good memories of traveling there. Wish they had some place like this in the states.

The place is so cozy, Fresh & organic food. The portions are more small than usual but really tasty. Good menu, good options. Vegan options

Ordered the assorted salads option plus a cappuccino and it was amazing. 3 of the 4 salads are probably among the best I've ever had (the aubergine salad was to die for!) and the last one was still good. The atmosphere in the basement was also very cozy, which was welcome for the winter.

We didn't select outdoor table in the garden but had a seat inside because it was chilly morning. Coffee and french toast with some bacon were brilliant.

My sister had the full breakfast and enjoyed that, not quite as heavy as the typical full English.

So upon entering the store, I was immediately expecting the classic 'deli snobbery' experience. You know when you go to an authentic Deli where the staff give you the cold stare if you take too lon to order or don't know exactly what you want. Much to my surprise, I was welcomed in a very warm manner. I asked for a selection of meats, and seriously thought this would be the point where they'd start snapping, but nope, again the lovely lady offered a range of sample slices for me to try! Woohoo! To cut a long story short, I came out a happy girl! Lina Stores can keep there over-priced food, along with their moody staff, I'm sticking with my new bestie Camisa & Sons...! P.S. Could have sworn I spotted the 'Son' of Camisa & Sons working in the back room...

Lots of amazing delis with fresh food…read moreserved by authentic Italian families who had been running the place for generations In London, there isn't any equivalent Italian area but Camisa on Old Compton is a deli straight out of New York. I love the '& Son' on the sign - gives the place a sense of continuity and history The sight of all those hams hanging up as you enter the store is enough to set the cookery brain and the stomach going. There is then the main counter with Italian cheeses galore and some deli items and home made pasta. There is also the full range of tinned and dried goods. The dry pasta from here is better than the fresh stuff from supermarkets. In Italy, they believe the pasta is the star of the dish and the sauce is just there to coat it, not drown it but for that philosophy to work, you need high quality ingredients I left with some pancetta, ham and mini mozzarellas

It was lunchtime and busy so I grabbed the only table available which was outside. I didn't mind because it wasn't cold out but the man behind the counter was so sweet and came out to tell me when a table inside became free. He knew everything about all the produce inside, and I went for ricotta and spinach cannelloni. It came with a choice of delicious fresh salads and I got rocket, tomato and pesto. My meal came to £5.60 which was such a bargain considering it was the best food I'd had in weeks. A salad plate with cold meats and a moussaka with bread and a couple of drinks came in at just under £20. It's away from Sloane Square, and you're unlikely to happen across it unless aimlessly wandering the streets of Belgravia and Chelsea, but it is worth the quick detour if in the area! The guys behind the counter are very knowledgeable and you'll likely come away with a bag full of goodies when you leave. MMM..... biscotti.
