The staff here is pretty young, and I think they get a little overwhelmed when a lot of customers come at once. I didn't walk around the store itself so I can't really speak to how much merchandise is in stock, etc or the status of any areas other than the cash wrap and balloon area. I will say they were quite professional with some of the folks that were not. I decided to go outside and wait for my order to give them space to be able to do what they needed to do without the pressure of customers all around. Looks like I am adding to an already crap rating. Not surprised. Here goes - I purchased cowboy hats on 10/22/24 (or around that date) for a party, it didn't work out and when I tried to return them on 10/25/24 with labels and receipt, I was told by the manager, Brandon, that they could not be returned due to their Halloween return policy. I tried to explain that nowhere on the hats, the labels, or aisle where they were located did it indicate they were Halloween items. Further, no one told me at the time of purchase that they would not be returnable. Brandon insisted that I could only purchase items from the store at or around the price of the hats to receive a refund. He suggested I pick up things like candy, etc. I requested another manager, Shirley, and got the same answer but with attitude. I was frustrated and stormed out, but my daughter was with me suggested that I just pick up random merchandise from the store, and return it later. I went back in to gather random items that added up to the cost of the hats, a random cashier (sensing my plan maybe) claimed I could only purchase Halloween products. I stated, again, this was not written anywhere and not what Brandon and Shirley said. Eventually, after jumping through hoops, I was able to get my money back--by returning the exchanged products at a different Party City the very next day. So what was the point really? In contrast, I had purchased other cowboy hats from another online retailer, and returning them was seamless--they just required me to scan a code and drop them off. This whole experience--terrible customer service, unhelpful managers, lying cashiers, and ridiculous policies--is enough for me to break it off with Party City for good. Party City, it's you, not me. In a competitive market, where customers have endless options, your outdated policies and poor treatment of customers do not bode well. Party on dude! This place has supplies for just about any occasion or celebration! We were doing a mermaid themed gathering and had fun getting mer-mazing party items including a mermaid piñata! So many piñatas!! We looked for a hot dog piñata for a cookout, no luck-but instead we found a huge cool grilling balloon with burgers and hot dogs on it so that was a score! And balloons galore!! Wow! A wall of helium! They have lots of costumes, wedding decorations, seasonal items and baby themed merchandise. There's a huge candy aisle, but I will say, some of the jelly beans looked old and stuck together. We also looked for some "bon voyage" stuff but none to be found. Nevertheless, if you are a Disney fan, you're in luck! They have tons of DISNEY themed party goods in stock! If you're ready to party, check this place out! read more

I ordered latex balloons as well as a numbered balloon for my son's birthday party and 4 of the 15 latex balloons and the number balloon popped within an hour of getting them home. Party city wouldn't give any type of refund without me bringing in the popped balloons, which I had not saved. Will not be ordering from here again. read more

Decent selection as always. The store was clean and organized. One staff member said hello in response to me. He didn't seem like he was happy. Then got to the check out and was checked out by the store manager, Julien (?) I have to say I'd be unhappy working for him as well. Sour attitude while I'm attempting to make happy conversation & try to get a smile out of him. I was unsuccessful. Perhaps he was just having a bad day. I went to the Broad St Party City today to pick up balloons and decorations for my best friend's birthday. We are having a mini, two-person party to celebrate in light of the pandemic, and I wanted to make it special. I purchased 30 helium balloons in different colors to fill my apartment for the party, and the staff at Party City was amazing. They were very busy, with tons of people waiting for balloons, and took safety precautions to minimize people crowding around the balloon station. My cashier helped me pick out 30 different colors, and had a great attitude. I was super impressed by the ease and care taken by the staff. read more

Imagine this: you're a tired multitasking mom on a mission to throw your kids the best Baby Shark themed birthday party they have ever had. You pull into Party City and are immediately greeted by a store full of all things party related. You take a deep sigh of relief because you just know you're going to find everything you need to make their day magical. As you start strolling the aisles you notice a redundancy of party themes. Princess, Superhero, Mermaid...but no Baby Shark. You turn the corner and see three employees not a single employee greets you. NOT ONE!! Instead you say "Hello" and ask where the Baby Shark stuff is. They chuckle and point you down the aisle you just came from. You walk back down the aisle and see the same things but still no Baby Shark. In a last ditch effort you turn a corner and see a display of plain blue cups, plain blue plates and a Happy Birthday banner that has Baby Shark on it. To your surprise this is the only Baby Shark item in the store. You go down the party favor aisle expecting to find something to correspond with your theme, hell any ocean related item would work at this point. Sadly you are greeted with no options. Finally you pull out your phone search "Baby Shark" and add a slew of items to your cart. A part of you is really sad that you cant find what you need when you need it at Party City. Party city is awesome! Our baby turns 3 on Sunday and we needed a few items that our venue isn't providing for his party this weekend. Little man is really into Paw Patrol, Thomas the train, and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Last year's party was Paw Patrol themed and I did a lot of Pintrest ideas but had to get favors from here. The prices are better than any "party" section in other stores with much more in varieties. So this year we decided to make his party Blaze themed until we went to Party City last night. We are fortunate that our venue is making goodie bags for all the kids and all I have to do is supply food. They have a huge supply of party favor, decorations and other party supplies for a Blaze themed party. I was going to make a Blaze Monster Truck cake until I couldn't find a pan to accommodate that, and certainly not Party City's fault. So decided to make cupcakes, and I needed cupcake liners and toppers. Much to my disappointment, they do not carry these in the Blaze theme. So last minute change made me have to go with Thomas the train (which I am not a huge fan of, bit hey he's only 3, right?). So a pack of lines and toppers cost me just $5! Hopefully Blaze will be more popular next year if he still into him and we can try for then. read more

Party City is making me rethink my Amazon Prime subscription. That's how you know it's real. Here's the deal. I wanted a cool and fun activity for my table at the Que Pasa festival. So, naturally, I ordered a 6 ft tall cactus ring toss game from Amazon Prime. Perfect, right? And get this. The bottom portion was a blow up cooler for drinks. So I'm thinking that I'm all set. I go into Party City on a whim to pick up some other Cinco de Mayo supplies for the table and what do I see? There, sitting all on it's lonesome, was my beloved blow up cactus for HALF THE PRICE! Obviously, I was a little irritated. I thought Amazon Prime was supposed to be the holy grail of online shopping. Uh uh. Not quite! Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with Party City. It had been lightyears since I'd shopped there. I had always thought of it as an uber expensive option for party supplies. Boy oh boy was I mistaken. I thought the prices were great! I got everything I needed (supplies for 2 events) for under $40. You have no idea how much easier this makes my life. Gone are the days of waiting and paying for shipping, when I can go up the street to Party City and get a great deal! From now on this will be the first place I go to get event supplies! read more

It's your average party city. I visited this location on a Sunday and there were plenty of people shuffling in and out. I had to pick up balloons, and I think most everyone else that was there at the time had come to do the same thing. If you're just picking up balloons, or if balloons are part of the reason for your visit, hit up that counter first. Place your order and roam the store/shop while you wait. Even with two people working the station, it took about 20 minutes for my balloons to be ready. It was nice that the people at the balloon counter wrote down my order and let me take it straight to the register up front to pay, though. Trying to do that with 12+ balloons in hand would have been a pain. Plenty of parking, and from what I observed in the store, all the customers were treated with courtesy and respect. read more

When I walked in the door I started chatting to a woman standing in line with a beautiful baby and I mistakenly walked down the register isle. Then I corrected my steps and started to walk further in the store. The woman at the far end of the isle asked me where was I going. She did not greet me. She was rude and then management supported her outburst saying she was just trying to tell me where to go. She was at the register yelling across the store to me and she had a customer at the register and another customer in line before me so I'm not sure why my presence required her to yell at me across the room. read more

I received a bunch of stuff from Party City as a gift for my upcoming wedding. The gift giving party let me know that she wasn't sure what we wanted, so feel free to return anything we didn't want. Once the package came, there were a few things that needed to be returned - we'd never use them. No problem I thought - I went on down to Party City, product and shipping invoice in tow - I stepped up to the counter and the nice cashier let me know it'd be no problem, but only a manager can do a return. Then the manager came up. I couldn't return the product because I did not have the original form of payment - mind you, this was a GIFT! I asked if we could have store credit - they do not do store credit. HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE STORE CREDIT!?!?! Isn't this like 2015? I asked if I could just return it to the gift buyer's card (I didn't want to waste her money) and I was told I have to have the card with me. I asked if we could exchange for products we needed - she said no, only even exchanges for damaged product. Anyway, now I'm stuck with all this stuff that I cannot return and cannot use! My suggestion - don't buy anyone stuff from this place unless you know they are going to use it, and make sure you save your receipts! read more

The service at this Party City location was amazing! I came here looking for items for the Yelp Speakeasy party to look my flapper best. Several associates helped me piece together what they had available in the store to make my costume vision come to life. They were all so helpful. The only reason I took a star off is a lot of the items I saw online were not available in the store. The website does not give you the option to see if the online items are available in local stores. That added feature would really make things easier and avoid patrons wasting their time. read more

Great halloween set up. They have an entire wall of costumes, girls with walkie talkies ordering the costumes by number, and a guy in the back pops out with your order. Very efficient.. i love a place thats organized. I also had a coupon for 20% off of a $50 purchase, it was easy to meet that amount wince the costume alone was $29.99! I got my daughter a. Very pregnant person with a toddler just tried to buy freaking birthday balloons. None of the 6 teenage employees wanted to tell me nor the line of people behind me that we were not in the right line for assistance as they stood pointlessly NOT ringing anyone up and NOT filling up balloons. The most lovely of the bunch then grabbed the balloons out of my toddlers hand and told me to not let her touch them because other people were going to put their mouths on them. A great party supply store with plenty options for you to choose. It gets extremely crowded on weekends so I suggest shopping on evenings and weekdays. The customer service is great. I ordered Balloons for my nephews birthday. I picked them up the night before bc I didn't have time to pick them up the morning of. I had a big bunch in a bag that I left gathered tog in the bag in the living room. When I got up in the morning they were half way deflated! WTF I thought.... I called party city and was asked, well did you leave them in the bag? Ah yes, why would I remove them when I just had to put them back in today to take to the party? When I placed the order I told them it was for a party the following day yet no one told me I needed to take them out of the carry out bag or they would deflate overnight. I went back to Party City and had to pay AGAIN for the balloons b/c someone forgot to tell me to remove them from the bag. Ah...why would I know this? They acted like I should have known! The manager did give me a 30% discount but charged me for blowing them all up again and a new bag WTF? This is not the first issue I have had with them.
