I had Amex concierge make reservations for me just before I got on the transatlantic flight. There were no issues getting a table - I definitely saw empty tables. There is a car park behind the restaurant, I think it is locked at some point. We got the tasting menu - it was our first nice meal in France. Portion sizes were generous, we left stuffed. I can't remember everything we ate but 3 things stood out. We liked dessert the least. - The seaweed butter that comes with the bread. The menus are great to have a broad overview and I raccomend to take once of those, even with the small two course meal plus dessert you will be filled up and happy. The chef of course came out to say hello to everybody and the his dishes are really good, I loved the balance he was able to give to each individual component of our dinner either if it was meat or fish.

This place had the right look, and is one of the few places in Reims found on LeFooding. Wines by the glass are "blind", so you pick a color and get a wine. My companion and I each chose red, and were served a very small glass of wine. We were later told it was a Czech wine, but weren't able to actually look at the bottle, which kind of defeats the purpose of, I don't know, trying to find a wine or grape another time? Service is achingly slow, and awkward. Multiple people coming to drop off silverware, but I had to find my own menu. We wanted a simple apero, and ordered a cheese plate, which is described as having 5 cheeses. The smallest cheese plate I've ever seen - 17 euros - and served on a bread plate. I've seen pats of butter on toast bigger than these cheeses. It took almost 30 minutes for the cheese matchsticks to arrive. Since this made us very cranky we kept a close eye on the rest of the tables. Our neighbors ordered the same cheese plate, with what looked like a lot more cheese, but still ridiculously small. Not clear if this is a bobo place for tourists, and thus, they get you once and you won't ever come back. But either way, we won't be back. To quote my companion: "Reims c'est une cauchemar des années 90."
