With a name like the 'Concept Hair Co', you might expect that this hairdressers would be a sleek,…read moremodern salon with all the latest mod cons, and what have you, but (in my opinion, happily) this is pretty far from the truth. The shop is actually much closer to a classic style barber shop (all that's missing is the pole outside), a style I much prefer over the aforementioned salon style that seems to be everywhere nowadays. I've been a couple of times, and both times a basic cut has cost me just £11.50, and the friendly barber clearly has a lot of experience, as he did a great job on both occasions (I've mentioned before that my hair normally looks terrible for a week after a cut, however Concept have kept it looking presentable).

As a Londoner I have a lot of excellent tattooists on my doorstep, but I travelled up to Coventry to be tattooed by Joanne Baker at Grizzlys. Although it's not been long since she was an apprentice, Joanne is very professional and extremely talented. I know a lot of people who travel for her charming illustrative style and unique watercolour effects. Watercolour has become quite popular but Joanne somehow manages to get her splodges look just like drops of pretty pastel paint - and her colour palette is unusual, so her designs stand out from the crowd.
