Here, it's quite an art form. They even have a little chart that you can look at to see what you want, and all styles have names. I suppose some haircuts have names (the 'bob', the 'pageboy, the 'Rachel') so why not hair in, ahem, other places? They also have Peron Rigot Comfort Hot Wax, which reduces the pain of normal wax. My brows are quite sparse and take months to get to the point where they need seeing to so I was going in today literally for a slight tidy up and to refresh the tint as I have an event at the weekend. I arrived at the salon and as I was waiting another customer appeared who seemed to know Rachel. When Rachel came to greet me she didn't introduce herself or even give me much of a welcome to be honest as she was more interested in the other lady that had come in. She said to the other lady as I was walking to the treatment cubicle that she wouldn't be long (sounded like she was trying to fit her friend in for a treatment even though this salon is nigh on impossible to get an appointment in). In the cubicle the only question Rachel asked me was what colour I had last time. She didn't ask me anything about how I like my brows or the shape I was after (this only occurred to me afterwards when I looked at the finished product in the mirror). Rachel applies the dye and literally wipes it off nearly as soon as she'd applied it. She didn't show me the colour at this point in the mirror to ask if I'd like it any darker. She then proceeded to wax my brows and then started tweezing - I did feel as I was laying there that she was tweezing in areas that I wouldn't normally but as she is the expert and I had put my trust in her I thought, no, she knows what she is doing she is the salon owner. She then said 'oh I'm not going to keep plucking because one eyebrow is slightly more rounded than the other'. I'm aware my brows aren't identical twins but alarm bells did start ringing at this point. Once she'd finished she said take a look and see what you think. At my previous appointment with Ellie, at this point she handed me the mirror and she'd left more brow there because obviously she didn't want to take too much off in case I didn't like it. You can take hair off but you can't replace it once it has gone. So at this appointment I was expecting to look in the mirror and for my brows to look tidy and I possibly may need to say I'd like a little more off in certain areas. Oh how wrong I was. I looked in the mirror and instantly wanted to cry. My eyebrows are now not only completely odd in shape compared to one and other but there's nothing left of them! Had Rachel bothered to ask me how I like my brows I would have told her I prefer the bushy brow look and it has taken me almost a year to grow my eyebrows out to achieve this look because my brows are naturally sparse. A years worth of growing my brows was wiped away in 5 minutes. To put it into context, she has widened the gap in between my brows considerably and one brow is further inwards than the other. She has plucked a bald patch into one of my eyebrows as well. The tint she applied did barely anything at all, probably due to the fact that it wasn't left on for hardly any time at all. I instantly said 'what have you done!?' I said you've taken too much from the middle and she said she takes it back so it is in line with the tear duct. One of my brows is in line with my tear duct but the other one is not. Had she not been rushing my appointment to get to her friend and actually asked me what I like then I would have told her that I don't like too much taken from the middle. When Ellie did my brows previously she didn't take anything from the middle and asked me how much I would like taken off. All Rachel kept saying was 'you had the full HD effect last time' I repeatedly asked her what the difference was between what I had last time and what I've had today because the main difference to me was that Rachel took off too much hair. She literally couldn't give me an explanation as to what the 'HD effect' was. She is the owner of the salon and couldn't provide me with an explanation of the treatment she offers. This is worrying... I started getting upset so I left the cubicle and waited at the front desk for her to appear. She came and said she wouldn't charge me for the appointment (I wasn't going to pay for the botched treatment anyway!) and I asked her again what exactly is the difference between the treatments and I could see from her face she couldn't give me an explanation. She just said 'I'm not a HD expert and they'll grow back' and with that I left the salon. 'They'll grow back' HOW INSULTING!??? I got in the car and burst into tears. I FaceTimed my husband and even he could see my eyebrows were a mess. If you want a rushed appointment resulting in a botched procedure then book an appointment here. Thank god I hadn't booked in for any of the injectable procedures they offer...

I managed to boom an appointment for a Saturday am with only 2 days notice, booked via email. I received clear instructions on how to find the venue. Crystal was welcoming & knowledgeable and really seemed to care about me, my skin and my health - giving me lots of top tips. I was talked through the whole facial process and felt relaxed. My skin was double cleansed, steamed, exfoliates then the extraction fun started on my black heads Crystal is an expert and thorough - it hurt but not too much! Then a facial oil was applied and I had a neck and shoulder massage - so lovely! A mask was applied & I was left to relax until Crystal returned to give me a scalp massage. The treatment ended with eye gel and moisturiser being applied. I received after care by email and I thoroughly intend to return for all my future beauty needs!
