They have amazingly fresh and wallet friendly produce along with some of the best tomatoes I've ever tasted. They have a wide selection of produce from eggplant to okra to grapefruit to avocados. They also offer fresh basil and parsley at times and again, some of the best I've ever had. The Unity Farm people are happy to answer any questions you may have about the produce they offer and very friendly. I usually stroll outta there with a big bag of stuff for under $10 which is why I become depressed in October when they leave until spring time. Cash only---if you work Uptown visit this place on your lunch break or stop on over on a wknd to visit them and other local vendors.

The people are friendly and it's like seeing friends you haven't seen in a while. Farmer's markets in general make my heart sing but these guys also have fresh, tasy fruit/veggies. They are at Trade & Tryon every Tuesday & Friday from the first Friday in May until just into October...and I miss them the rest of the fall, winter and early spring. :)

We started with breakfast -- a blackberry cream cheese scruffin and coffee -- from Great Harvest Bread Co. and leisurely strolled up and down a couple times. We went home with quite the haul! Amazing produce from Rosemay Pete including a kobucha squash I'm really looking forward to experimenting with this week. My guy got a pork butt and a pound of wahoo that are both in the smoker as I type this. The market is only open Saturdays from 8am-12pm and tucked behind the medical building on Sharon Amity, across from IHOP. Lots of parking! Friendly management from the Rotarians. I'm excited to make a visit here a part of my Saturday morning routine every week!

I was *swooning* over the heirloom tomato table because you've just never seen such variety of juicy plump tomatoes! We grabbed some fresh corn on the cobb and lots of tomatoes this trip for only $12! They had just about everything you could think of from mushrooms to berries, carrots, etc. If you're in the area, you gotta go here for fresh produce. It's way better and more flavorful than the grocery store stuff. I believe they are only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.

She read good things and the hours were perfect for us to stop in on a beautiful Saturday morning in August. They are open every Saturday morning, April through December from 8am-12pm. We arrived about 10am and it was very busy. The main parking lot was full and there was a small line of cars trying to find parking spots. We continued on to the overflow parking area closer to the river bank and there was plenty of parking available. We walked up to the location of the market which is a covered area providing shelter from inclement weather and the hot summer sun. The variety of the different booths is diverse. Everything from fresh vegetables, canned salsas, jams and jellies, baked goods, pottery, frozen meat, and fresh flower bouquets. We enjoyed seeing all the various items and ultimately bought a package of six S'mores cookies which were incredibly delicious! It's been quite some time since we've been to a farmers market and this is a great one. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
