We came to the pumpkin patch! They have a large parking lot and it was easy to find…read more It's a $3 fee for everyone above 2 years old and you need a reservation. Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.

I'm usually in and out, but the parking is super easy, vendors are fun and friendly. The market has a nice backdrop of the uptown buildings and the nearby Marshall Park (just behind First Baptist)... makes for a nice - easy Saturday morning to ease your way into the day. One day I will fufil my dream of walking to my nearby Lynx/Lightrail station taking it uptown to the market, enjoying the market, and then making my way home (so no parking needed - even though it's not an issue here if you go early enough).

If you're planning to go, I'd recommend getting there as close to opening (around 7:00 a.m.) as possible to beat the crowds. Even with the number of people, everything was very well organized. They had someone directing parking, and the checkout line moved quickly. The vendors were friendly, and the overall experience was smooth. The selection was amazing. They had fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, local honey, homemade jams, apple butter (I brought home a jar!), fresh baked goods, and even fresh meat from a local vendor. I also grabbed a mini pecan pie, and it was delicious! The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the freshness and quality. One thing to know is that this market isn't as spread out as some of the larger farmers markets, so it can feel crowded once it gets busy. Even so, it never felt disorganized, and the vendors were well stocked with plenty of products. I've always loved the Kings Drive Farmers Market, and this visit reminded me why. It's been a while since I'd been, but I'll definitely be going back more often. Whether you're shopping for your weekly produce, looking for local products, or just want to walk around and support local vendors, it's absolutely worth the trip. 10/10 recommend! Ladies and gentlemen, Cotswold has finally arrived with our own farmers market! It's a small…read moremarket, maybe 15-20 stalls total but a great one. Every vendor's selection looked amazing! We started with breakfast -- a blackberry cream cheese scruffin and coffee -- from Great Harvest Bread Co. and leisurely strolled up and down a couple times. We went home with quite the haul! Amazing produce from Rosemay Pete including a kobucha squash I'm really looking forward to experimenting with this week. My guy got a pork butt and a pound of wahoo that are both in the smoker as I type this. The market is only open Saturdays from 8am-12pm and tucked behind the medical building on Sharon Amity, across from IHOP. Lots of parking! Friendly management from the Rotarians. I'm excited to make a visit here a part of my Saturday morning routine every week!
