Paseo del Morro starts at the Puerta de San Juan. Basically, the Paseo de la Princesa ends here and Paseo del Morro starts here. This path will take you, along the waterfront, to the base of El Morro. It's a nice chill walk. On one side you have the San Juan Bay and on the other side is the historic wall.
Along the path we saw lots of stray cats. It appears there is a colony here (which is why you don't see strays roaming the city). Their presence is divisive, some like them others don't. There were also lots of iguanas. We saw most chilling on the wall. Also, plenty of spider webs. Pretty cool. We went with some friends who have a kid our son's age. Both loved it.
At the end of the path you'll be at the base of El Morro and entrance to the Bay. From here you can chill and watch the waves crash against the rocks, catch some ships entering and leaving the Bay, or watch the sunset. It's very nice and romantic. No cats around here. If you want you can climb the stairs, which will take you to the grounds of El Morro. Keep in mind there is a gate at the top and it closes at 5pm everyday. So if you want to get to El Morro do so before then. I also saw another path that appears to take you around to the cemetery. Next time. read more
