We love Laredo. Every time we come here, we walk along the wonderful Promenade. And what a Promenade it is - it's 3.5km long - one way!
It's busier along the town center, where you can find some ice cream and churro stalls along the way. As well as some restaurants and cafés. Also several public toilets.
You can access the beach from several points along the Promenade. It's a very wide promenade, so even with lots of visitors (mostly on weekends), it never feels overly crowded. The further west you walk, the more quiet and more urban it gets. More apartement buildings and single homes and lot less restaurants and people.
We really enjoyed our walk here. This time we walked all the way. 3.5km there - and 3.5km back. It's all paved, it's all flat. Fully suited for strollers and wheelchairs. Makes sure to get some delicious churros at the stall at the very eastern end. read more
