Our family was in Humboldt for a visitation/funeral. After the visitation we planned to go to Pasquale's for dinner. As you can imagine, it is hard to plan exactly how many people will attend and what time everyone will arrive. The folks are Pasquale's treated us so well. They put us in a private room and even though they close at 8:30, they never said a word as we lingered there well past that time. We seriously appreciate their kindness. We also appreciate the amazing food and service. Our waitress was friendly and patient as she took and delivered 16 drink orders. The pizza was outstanding. I had both the Taco and the Special. They were thin and crispy. Loaded with toppings, perfect crusts. Just outstanding pizza which I highly recommend. read more

Meh. Ambiance: a few dirty tables, loud, VERY strong scorched crust smell. Almost made me want to leave from that alone. Not the most inviting feeling. Service: Not the most friendly. No one smiled. VERY slow. Parking and accessibility: Very limited parking. Not even sure there even a handicap spot. Food: Toppings too heavy for thin, cracker-like crust. Somewhat greasy, wet too. The food was a three star at best and it took an hour and a half to get it. I would not recommend this place over McDonalds.

Pizzas are pretty good. They're a very thin crust style. The beers are affordable. The staff is friendly. I've been back a second time and had their sausage sandwich. The sandwich very good and is a great deal if you don't want to order an entire pizza. Parking is a little tight if they're busy. read more

Due to barely any local food places along our trip, this was the closest, non-chain restaurant, so we stopped. Hoping for great pizza to go with the great smell of the restaurant, we thought we were great amazing pizza. We were heavily disappointed. We had 2 pizzas. The BBQ Chicken pizza - I have never had such under seasoned chicken on a pizza in my life. It was so gross, it ruined the pizza. I ended up picking all the chicken off, hoping it would taste better. The "BBQ" sauce was so sweet and did not even taste like a sweet BBQ. Tender chicken, but disgusting. The all meat pizza was over sauced, so all the toppings slid off. BOTH pizzas had soooooo much cheese on it, it was ridiculous. We had medium pizzas. The cheese from 1 medium pizza would have been enough for a large or an extra large pizza. If we are ever in this area, skipping this place and going up the road to the old style diner / drive-in. read more

If we were to engage in a free-association exercise, and you ask me to associate terms with "pizza" I would reply with the following terms: thin, crisp, square pieces. I'm a thin crust pizza guy and this is really where it's out and it shines as a regional example of what I consider the optimal form of a traditional American pizza. The crust and reputation that has been promulgated in this part of the State of Iowa is what drew me here. Pasquale's is regionally famous, and you can try an example of their frozen pizzas in your local grocer's freezer. Let me state that these frozen incarnations of this pizza do not hit the high marks of the pie we enjoyed on site in Humboldt. We went with the Pasquale's Special which reflected the tradition of the other "Specials" pizzas I have found (i.e. Pagliai's in Iowa City and Johnston) by assembling house made sausage with green peppers and onions. Here at Pasquale's they add some strips of fatty bacon on top. It was delicious and hit all the marks I was looking for right out of the oven, with great toppings and crisp, crackery crust that merely set the stage for great toppings. This place isn't fancy but this type of pizza is the kind I get a hankering for. If you're of the same heart, I would recommend a visit.. Humboldt is kinda out of the way, but it's a beautiful small town community. I also want to say that our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful in making our selection and making sure that we were always filled with beverages. I felt like we were walking in to a fairly tight-knit group of people who knew each other when we entered, and I really felt great when the waitress opened up to use as out of towners. read more

The service was pretty bad. The girl with the face piercing and purple hair was slow, rude and unprofessional. On top of that it nearly took two hours to sit down get a couple of pizzas and get out. I have always loved the frozen pizzas and everyone I know that lives in the area has always said the restaurant was 10x better, I would say, stick to the frozen. read more

The crust is perfect, the sauce is excellent, and the canadian bacon; my favorite; is amazing!! One issue I have is with their selections; There aren't many besides the basics. I really wish they would add a Pesto pizza to their menu. Also, there aren't many choices for sides. They don't have a website either (Who doesn't have a website nowadays??), so good luck finding a menu. It wasn't bad. First off it's a pizza place, not an Italian restaurant, which there is nothing wrong with that. The problem I had was the saltiness of everything. Well, I didn't have the pizza, but my wife and daughter did...and they never eat all of anything, However, they finished every bite of these, both saying it was sooooo good! My daughter (13 and skinny as a rail) had the cheese, and my wife had the veggie pizza, proclaiming it was one of the best she ever had. I live in Cedar Rapids Iowa...and I just want you to know these are the best frozen pizzas I have ever ate...the only place that I can find them is at Fareway....I think you should put them in other stores...Hyvee and Sams Club and have those testers out to give samples....they are that good...we only buy your pizzas now read more
