Now I want to write an update because I went to the church while it was open this morning and I met the people of God.The service was great.The message was on time, and I was blessed to be in a gathering Once again. I have been here several times and thoroughly enjoyed the services each time. One was during Christmas with Christmas-themed singing and speeches. They were positive. Another time was a Women's meeting and they spoke about what women go through and what strength has been shown. read more

I first came to Passion City Church in 2012. I had moved back to Georgia after six years in Tampa and was looking for a place to root down. So many great friendships were birthed out of this space in my life! I was baptized here in 2014 and my wife was baptized here in 2021. My wife actually saw my baptism on Facebook through mutual friends and reached out to me on Facebook messenger and that's how our entire relationship began. Pastor Louie Giglio is at the helm of the ship and as most people say he is the greatest communicator of the Gospel of all time. He leads his staff with excellence and has a Holy Spirit anointing on himself and everyone he is in charge of. I'm so thankful for the impact he has had on my life! JESUS IS LIFE and there is no chain HE cannot break! He is the purpose and reason for all things and this church shows true example of that! read more

Genuinely welcoming congregation-didn't feel forced. Pastor gave a life relatable simple story-which is what made it memorable.

I was really disappointed PC, I have been to a church where you had to be interview to be a member. I am a Professed Christian doesn't that say something? Pastor Louie needs to read Matt. 11:28, Where Jesus say "Come to me all who are weary and heavily laden" Did you know that Pastor Louie reviews each request for all baptism/membership at PC or the seed churches? All are invited to come to services but you have to ask to become a member. Pastor Louie then brings you in for one, or more, counseling sessions to get a sense of who you are and where you are coming from. According to several people I have come in to contact with on the internet. Here are some questions they were asked (they decided not to join PC). Are you a drug user? Are you an alcoholic? Are you a practicing homosexual? Are you a member or do you plan on becoming a member of LGBTQ+? What are your feelings about abortion? Are you in a position to tithe to PC? And the list goes on. I would dismiss this question/answer if there were only one or two people but when I start looking at 4-5 people at multiple sites, it makes me start to wonder. Why does Pastor Louie feel the need to have an in-depth interview with perspective members or practitioners for baptism? The Apostles didn't. All they asked was "Do you believe?". Jesus tells us time and again that He accepts all people, no matter what their situation in life is. Even on the cross, Jesus accepted the plea of the sinner. Suppose a bum decided to join PC (no problem, so far). Then Pastor Louie starts his questions. The bum says I would welcome all of those. Then Pastor Louie says "Glad to have you come for services", meaning you are not qualified to be a member. Then Jesus stands up and tells Pastor Louie "You are not qualified to be my servant.". PC is not for me. I want a church that is biblicaly based and the Pastor answers to God. read more

So...let me start by saying that I'm not "religious" but I am spiritual. I started coming to PCC about a year ago with my boyfriend. At first, I'll admit I was a bit (maybe more than a bit) skeptical about the whole mega church vibe. But after attending for the past year, my mind has officially changed. Pastor Louie is awesome, super inspirational and down to earth. This is a come as you are (flaws and all) and be accepted type of church. I really enjoy listening to the word and the modern day interpretations this church teaches. If you live in the area, drop by this church on a Sunday and be prepared for your life to be changed for the better. Doesn't have to be life changing (though I am guessing it will) doesn't have to be a shout it up to the rooftops moment (though I am guessing you will want to) and it doesn't have to make you a Believer (though I am guessing it will soon) Don't get hung up on who is delivering the message (he is just His messenger) don't look to see who's who around you (Who matters is already there) don't be concerned with celebrity status ( the One holds the stage) Just drop by on a Sunday and listen to a man who is delivering God's message of instruction ( read My word and serve My people) of hope, love, encouragement and truth. Shame on the elders/lay ministers of this church! I waited a week to say anything about the terrible experience I had there so I would pleasantly&kindly calm down to rebuke them UNspiritual knuckleheads, and not just blast my anger. 8 days ago, Sunday 16 February 2020 at approximately 11:30, coming into the Sanctuary early before the service, I was detained by a Fulton county police officer. Apparently someone had recognized me walking in the parking lot praising the Lord(with my arms raised heavenward) and decided they would not allow me to enter MY Father's house. (Now let it be known, I had previously worshipped in the same manner, in that same location, and also at the Cumberland location, without any situation/problem at all. There was no objection to my posture BEFORE. But somehow, now things totally changed.) The officer said I was not welcome and that I should leave unless I wanted to go to jail. I informed him I had been to court twice before about this ridiculousness of charges by officers for arms being raised, and both times the charges were dropped and the case thrown out. The officer repeated if I went inside the sanctuary he would have me jailed. I told him he has to do what he has to do, and I have to do what God would have me to do. With that, I walked away from him to the entrance of Passion City. Upon coming to the doors, some representative of the church told me, "you're not welcome here today". REALLY? On the Church website I read, "ALL ARE WELCOME - COME AS YOU ARE". Sadly, THAT'S A LIE. The most annoying thing about this situation was that I WAS A GUEST. A new friend I had met in LA Fitness invited me to come to his house of worship. So, he was wondering whatever became of me, while I was handcuffed and put in a squad car to wait out the service. I don't believe Louie Giglio or his wife would approve of the treatment I've received, however, it did happen, and the people who orchestrated it, WERE part of their ministry. SHAME ON THIS SUPPOSED BODY OF BELIEVERS DEMONSTRATING SUCH DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR. read more

I went with some friends and I was so confused when we got there, because I thought we were at a rock concert and I forgot to wear my new dress that I just purchased for the club, but wore to church so we could take a selfie to share with everyone. Seriously though, the 'preacher' spent 10 minutes reading from the bible, and there was 40 minutes of cringey music from a band. I don't think people who capitalize on Christianity are the most moral, however, I understand the church needs funds. Probably 30 minutes alone was on telling people to donate. The whole experience was a mixture of horrible acting, theatrics, manipulating the masses for money, and empty morality. The preacher just mostly yelled at people to ask to be saved, but every time I prayed, he kept screaming. Like, how can the Lord hear me asking to be saved if you don't shut up dude. Also, he stopped to start asking people to text this number so we could see how many people were 'saved'. As if someone texting a phone number would mean somebody was saved. It was so bad I was wanting Joel Osteen to come out around the corner and tell me I had just been punked. read more

I absolutely love Louie Giglio and still listen to his messages. This church helped bring me to the Lord. What's sad is the people that attend. You're judged by world standards. If you're a casual Christian you will fit in. If you're a dynamic Christian they will outcast you. It's ironic. I attended their Love Atlanta, no one spoke to me. In fact they ate in front of me without offering me a thing. I was scheduled 6 hours of volunteering, and I was doing most of the work while they sat around. When I spoke to someone about it, they said that I wasn't part of the team, which is why I wasn't given food. I had to leave to get food. Was planning on returning but I heard them laughing as I left. Clearly they don't hear the messages Louie preaches. I pray one day, the Lord reveals to him why people are leaving. Maybe do a sermon about loving others who attend? I am still tithing there as I search for a true Jesus loving church since I'm not the only one who's left because of this. Amazing church, biblically sound, great community! The 5 alive events are amazing. The womens events and kids church is great. The youth church, camps, and all the youth events are so good. Come early for parking to events (but there's always off site parking with shuttles often if late and the main parking lot is full), the staff want to help you get plugged in. A...MAZE....ING!!! I have been listening to Louie Giglio's podcasts over the last week and have been hearing about how wonderful this church is! God bless you guys for blowing me away! I love the mission of this church! I loved to watch how the crowd moved Chris Tomlin! I was on the 2nd row on this my first visit, and Chris fed on the sheer power and emotion that the worship team stirred in the crowd! Don't sit down front if you can't handle the volume! ELECTRIFYING!! God was in this place and moved through the people like I have never seen! Pastor Giglio brings emotion to his talks as well! (I have never really studied Titus before, and now one of the passages he read on this visit is one of my favorite verses!) Titus 3:5-7 New International Version (NIV) 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Was really looking forward to my first visit here after watching hours of content online beforehand... however, I was extremely disappointed to see they were selling Kings Pops but not Chic Fil A.. my other church sold chic fil a and it was a hit. I really recommend they get their priorities right if they want to succeed as a business. read more

I rate it a 4 to 4.5. The reason for the star deduction is below. I attended 2 services last year when I went back home. I thoroughly enjoyed the services. For me, in addition to the sermon/preaching, Praise & Worship is essential. If a church doesn't lift me up with Praise & Worship, I tend to not return. The Praise & Worship at PCC is like no other. The band & the singers are incredible. The best I've ever seen and experienced. I felt the holy spirit in my soul. An overwhelming, yet overjoyed feeling. The sermon was great too. I attended the later service at 5 pm. It was definitely a younger crowd, which I loved. It's great seeing younger people my age (20s, 30s) worshipping God... especially nowadays. I really wanted to give 5 stars. I deducted 1 star because 1 of the services I attended, although a great sermon, the whole sermon (except for the last few minutes) was on the big screen. It was a recorded sermon from the morning service. I repeat, the message was great, but it didn't quite sit right with me watching a screen and not the actual pastor preaching. He was there & came out towards the end. I felt like if he was there, he should have given the sermon. It shouldn't matter if he gave the same sermon 2 times already. I would have preferred to see the Pastor preach in vivo. Maybe there was a reason for it, and this was out of the norm. If it is normal, I may start going to the earlier services so I can actually catch it live. If I wanted to watch it on a screen, I could do that at home. All on all, the Praise & Worship and the Message was superb. Definitely check it out! You won't be disappointed. Also, let me add. I love the 'Come As You Are' feel of the church. You can wear jeans, flip flops, t shirts, you can dress up of you want to too, but come as you are. No one is going to stare at you or even bat an eyelash if you have tattoos, multicolored hair, piercings, etc. I love this. One thing I've seen in other churches, they are overconsumed with the exterior & quickly pass judgement solely based on how one looks. Which isn't the 'Christian' thing to do. Some fail to realize that the person with the full sleeve of tattoos can be the kindest person they'll ever meet, yet, the person with the suit & tie could be a snake in disguise. So please, come as you are. You love God? You believe that he is your Lord and Savior? Then come! You'll be welcomed! read more

So blessed by this church!!! In the four months that I've been attending I've encountered people who have such an authenticity of love and a dedication to their walk with God. This is a community of people who are truly seeking to live out their values. There is a culture of excellence, and servant-heartedness. I've encountered people of all ages, and all ethnicities and backgrounds. It's a church family where truly all are welcome. Like any larger church, it can take some perseverance to start making friends. But I have found that with commitment over time you do start to connect with others on a personal basis. I've made some wonderful new friendships, with people who have genuinely been there for me at times of need. Most importantly, I've found that my spiritual life has grown as a result of the excellence of teaching and the beautiful times of worship! This church has been a wonderful influence on my life. If you're looking for a church to call home, this is a safe, healthy, edifying, sanctified, encouraging community to join. Really love Passion City. When you first walk in, the whole vibe is beautiful; so physically, it's very appealing. The volunteers ("doorholders") are super friendly and helpful, genuine, from the parking team to the people inside. I can honestly say I feel the Holy Spirit from the moment I enter the building. God is here. I love the music (mostly contemporary worship) by the Passion Band...it can get a little rowdy for those more accustomed to traditional worship - but we love it. And then the teaching. Wow. When we first found Passion a few years ago, I was a little wary of it because it seemed like such a megachurch. (We'd always gone to smaller churches.) I remember thinking to myself, if the teaching is as good as the website was pretty, then we're in business. And it was! Pastor Louie focuses on Jesus and the Word. Every gathering blows my mind. I've gotten so much deeper into the Word and my spiritual walk since we started attending. Everyone I've ever brought has loved it. This is a Jesus church that cares about the community and the world. Definitely recommend. read more

I have only been in the Atlanta area for about a month, but I came from a large church in California. If you know who Lincoln Brewster is, he was my Worship Pastor there. So the bar of expectation was already set pretty high. But the bar of expectation was met here at Passion City! Awesome, incredible worship experience. Plus great teaching from Pastor Louie Giglio and other great speakers. I don't like pastor-centric churches who has a pastor who does most of the preaching-teaching (again, my bar of expectation). So, when I came here, it was just like home. Once I figured out where to park (the traffic around the church can be terrible), I park in the Sidney Marcus Parking deck and take the comfortable shuttles to and from church. We went here for Easter Sunday and had a great time, this is a great church with great music and a great message. Make sure when you go that you plan to be be there early to go to the additional Parking area and have time to take the free shuttle and if you have kids go online and pre register it helps save time so you can get a good seat. read more

In a nutshell Passion City Church has helped me fall in love with church again. Some history.. I have followed the Passion group (at the time more of a worship conference movement) since 1998. When I first picked up my 1st Passion CD I was leading worship for our youth group at a church in Los Angeles. I instantly fell in love with the music as I could sense the sincerity of the artists and their heart of worship. I was also a huge fan of Matt Redman who inspired me to lead worship myself so the fact that the album seemed full of Matt Redman's music was a big plus for me. I got to meet and pray with Matt Redman at a Worship Together conference in Eastbourne England (year 2000). I went to my first Passion Concert in South Korea (late 2000's) and was able to sing with Matt Redman and Chris Tomlin in my first ever concert. Fast forward about a decade and that's when I moved to Atlanta. I believe a year after I arrived in Atlanta Passion City Church opened here. I was a bit inundated with work at the time but found a few of our customers went to Passion City Church and invited me to come out. Finally in 2013 I took the plunge and decided to visit the church. It truly grabbed my heart once again from the start. Pastor Louie Giglio and worship leaders Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Kristian Stanfill, Christy Nockels, David Crowder all lead here and to someone who's followed the contemporary Christian music scene a while that is truly just so great and inspiring to be able to worship WITH them in the same room. So great. Although pretty big in size the vibes here are just naturally good. I don't sense any pretension or spiritual arrogance here which I really like. PCC really does a great job at being a solid church. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a church whose focus is on worshiping and/or finding Jesus Christ for which my wife recently told me she came to love and know more deeply the love of Jesus Christ. So huge kudos and a big thank you to Passion City Church for helping to make that happen. We listen to Passion music every day and sing along with pretty much all their songs. Another nice plus is that members of Passion City usually get the 1st sneak peaks and listens to some of the latest songs by members of the Passion Worship band which is actually quite cool. Ok, so if I can knit pick for a second and spell some negative.. parking can be a bit crowded so try to come 30 minutes before service. To be fair though, Passion door holders and parking attendants are pretty effin helpful and accommodating. For parents with young kids, they have special parking spots reserved which is just so sweet. A tip for you parents with young toddlers, turn on your hazard blinkers as you are turning into the parking lot and the attendants will open up the secret passage way to the Bloom (what they call their toddlers group) parking spaces. One other negative which is actually a bit annoying to me is how some people will save seats and/or leave a bottle of water or some other item laying on the seat well before service time (like 30-40 minutes ahead of time) and leave it empty for that duration up until start of service to keep their seats reserved. This left my wife and I without a decent seat several times which kind of blows. If I could suggest to the Passion City Church leadership to put up a sign on their projector before service that states to not reserve seats in this manner or leave seats unattended as a courtesy for other guests who are trying to find a place to sit down. But I digress... A few more tips for y'all: There are 3 gatherings. 10:00 a.m. (very crowded), 12:30 (crowded but the least crowded of the 3), and 5 p.m. gathering (very crowded and a very popular time for teenagers and college students). They do not have small groups but rather community groups which meet in all parts of Georgia. As a final personal note, my now 4 year old son loves it here which is yet another great thing I love about this place. Why this is actually more impressive is that he tends to have a severe case of separation anxiety at any church we have attended in the past. Oh, and that they have a nearby park makes it a perfect destination for a Sunday with family since going to the park after church has become a family favorite of ours. I love all the contemporary churches popping up around Atlanta! Passion is a fun place to go, but may be too much for a new church-goer. The sermons are long (about 45 minutes), and the worship music goes on for about as long; you have to budget about 2 hours for each service if you attend. It can be a lot to take in, but has the potential to be awesome and life-changing! I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just something to consider! Louie is a great speaker, but he can go off on a tangent and go way off track. But, if you hang in there, the messages are great! I think Louie is a much better live speaker than Podcast one. His energy in the room makes the services fun and holds your attention. All the staff are welcoming and accommodating, and you don't feel awkward coming in here for the first time. You can find a smiling, happy volunteer to guide you around the place without much difficulty! It's definitely a different vibe than Buckhead Church up the street, but they both are doing great things around Atlanta. Take the time to attend a few services and see if this is your new home! read more

Welcome home. I think my favorite thing about Passion City Church is how there isn't actually a sign... which may seem strange, especially in the south. They refer to the building as "515", which is the number in its address on Garson Drive. This philosophy, or idea that church is not a building but a body of people, is reflected in the way this mega-church does community. The church uses screens, large speakers & bright lights which may not be what you're used to. Give it a chance though, at the very least you'll be welcomed with generosity, listen to incredible music & hopefully glean from a powerful sermon. And if you leave & decide it's not for you... the advantage to living in the Bible Belt is there are dozens more to try within walking distance. read more

I've seen Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Laura Story, and Kristian Stanfill. For those of us that only get to visit a couple times a year, it's like going to a Christian concert! If you're looking for a place to experience joy in the gospel, this is it. Louie Giglio and his staff create an atmosphere of comfort, elegance, home and serenity, while leaving no detail undone. It's a contemporary worship service with the Passion band as the music. Occasional guests supplement their part of the service. Count on the service to be about an hour and a half, but you won't know it until it's over. Engaging in every way. The parking lot does fill up, but there is additional free parking in a nearby deck. Shuttles will take you to 515 and return you to your car. 515 is more than a church, it's a community of people ready to welcome visitors and regular attendees the same way and share the gospel. read more

This is so far the only mega church I keep coming back to. The people and the staff are great. The way they arranged parking and having the buses come pick us from the parking garage is great. It is always crowded with people coming and going and visiting. It's always a great experience here. It feels like you're at a concert or a conference. But more than that- Louie Giglio is the head pastor of this church. And man does he have heart for God. He is very passionate and his sermons are always great. He give many examples and things that he experience in his life to make it more clear and vivid. The words he uses to describe scripture just hits home run. You just understand it. read more

It's a wild world we live in which we can review churches online... However I am writing this as an act of encouragement to those faithfully giving their life to the spreading of the gospel. Was visiting this church from Miami and felt they were extremely welcoming, and operations including parking ran smoothly which makes a big church feel small. I admire their incorporation of art into their space and culture of their church. One of the current art piece displayed at the church is a huge expression made of lightbulbs which reads "Jesus is Life"! In which they add a lightbulb to with each person who dedicates their life to christ -- the creative idea is both cutting edge creatively and also inspiring as symbolic in welcoming those accepting Christ to live in His light. read more

Wow--this church is AWESOME! I grew up going to the Catholic Church on holidays, and now that I'm an adult, I was really looking to find a church of my own. I followed PC on social media/online for a year before attending. Reading Pastor Louie's recent book "The Comeback" was game-changing, and I knew I had to check this place out!! I used to be a devout "Passion-Goer" and would spout about how great my church was, for about 2 years! But then little by little, the more I read the Word, the more I noticed my church didn't look like the Word it said it was based off of. If you read the Bible and then visit Passion City, you will realize that this organization is run more like a government and a business than it is how God intended for the church to be. It is more about how "instagramable" the church is and how many free postings (aka- free advertising) can we get of people checking in here. This church is focused on the 99 and could care less about the 1. Look at the front row and saving seats, and yet, "in church we don't save seats"! Look at the celebrity culture facilitated by the church leadership (the whole front right section of the church, go ask the security team how many people on any given Sunday come in and out of the private entrance- bet you didn't know they had a private entrance; and ask how many people hang out in the green room! Oh, and ask about their VIP volunteer team). Don't even get me started on a worship team that gets paid to lead people to Jesus! That's not a servant heart and it's the exact oppositie of what they ask their volunteers to do. Lead by example, not by dollar signs and perfectly manicured content. This church looks more like a Hollywood movie scene than it does anything God ever designed. READ THE WORD! Read the instruction manual and you will see that this church is more of a cult than most cults are. read more

I visited Passion City Church summer 2015, I came to Atlanta on vacation and was looking for a church to attend while in town. Attending PCC, was an amazing and memorable experience. The experience of visiting the campus design, people and worship make for a wonderful experience. The Worship experience can't get any better as far as contemporary Christian music goes. If you coming for the first time I recommend coming early, finding parking can take some time. Hubby and I were visiting Marietta and decided to check out Passion Church. While it's odd to write a review of a church, this one is just awesome! We absolutely loved our experience from beginning to end. Parking can be tough, so I'm glad I'm glad that we were at the "least crowded" service. The door and parking folks were great and welcomomg and the message was Bible based and very relevant. The worship was AMAZING.. If we lived here, this could definitely be out church home! read more

Let me start by saying I respect anyone who is striving to preach and teach the word of God and this isn't a ploy to trash them, it's just the truth of our experience. In August we moved to Atlanta after having left for 8 years, we have been looking for a solid church. I knew about Passion City and was excited to check it out at their Cumberland location. From the time we walked in, we felt like we weren't wanted there. When we walked in the door, the greeters said nothing to us, we clearly didn't know where the main sanctuary was and the staff didn't even ask if we needed help. The guy we did ask just pointed in the direction after giving off the vibe that we were bothering him. Quick note, you could take note from Dr. RA Vernon of The Word Church in Cleveland, no other church has the level of hospitality that his does, I promise you. But anyway we walk in and we are getting looks from the parishioners like us common folk can't be in there. Didn't know a church for rich people existed, I thought only Creflo Dollar did that. Then my 18 month old got a little fussy and the lady on staff said we could go to the mothers room. In other words that was our cue to leave but in a "nice" way. So at that point we just went home. I was upset because I saw a church focused on looking nice with the bells and whistles but could care less about people. I could only imagine how y'all would act if a homeless person came in your doors. Every Sunday is a 911, what if I was on the brink of killing myself that day, because you're too busy trying to look big you miss out on the most important part, people. I know Lou Giglio is a great orator and a man of God but i feel like Passion City dropped the ball on this one. read more

Great place for Jr. High, High School and College students. Music is always great and there are few speakers in Atlanta that deliver the depth that Louie does with passion and convection. read more

Everyone here is full of love and welcoming. The music is beautiful; you feel like you're at a gospel concert. Lou's messages are bible-based and he's funny. The church is nice and clean in the inside and outside. I love this place. read more

Passion City Church - Churches Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

This is my favorite church I've ever attended. If you don't appreciate contemporary worship, this probably isn't the place for you, as this is the first 30 minutes of each service. Louie Giglio has an incredible way of coalescing scripture and relatable examples to drive his points home. It's next to impossible to not feel convicted in some manner after one of his sermons. This church is soul-filling, and my maturity in my faith continues to evolve the more time I spend there. Be sure to get there early as parking fills up fast! read more
