Chaz Parks baptized in 2014 & Ashley Parks baptized in 2021.

I first came to Passion City Church in 2012. I had moved back to Georgia after six years in Tampa and was looking for a place to root down. So many great friendships were birthed out of this space in my life! I was baptized here in 2014 and my wife was baptized here in 2021. My wife actually saw my baptism on Facebook through mutual friends and reached out to me on Facebook messenger and that's how our entire relationship began. Pastor Louie Giglio is at the helm of the ship and as most people say he is the greatest communicator of the Gospel of all time. He leads his staff with excellence and has a Holy Spirit anointing on himself and everyone he is in charge of. I'm so thankful for the impact he has had on my life! JESUS IS LIFE and there is no chain HE cannot break! He is the purpose and reason for all things and this church shows true example of that!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

So...let me start by saying that I'm not "religious" but I am spiritual. I started coming to PCC about a year ago with my boyfriend. At first, I'll admit I was a bit (maybe more than a bit) skeptical about the whole mega church vibe. But after attending for the past year, my mind has officially changed. Pastor Louie is awesome, super inspirational and down to earth. This is a come as you are (flaws and all) and be accepted type of church. I really enjoy listening to the word and the modern day interpretations this church teaches. I have felt welcomed each and every time I've come and I plan to continue in my journey towards being the best version of myself. Thanks you PCC for the strength and wisdom you provide.

What an amazing church in Atlanta. Reaching more young urban crowds, the music is authentic and modern, the message is fresh yet timeless, and the people are so genuinely welcoming. It's a must for those who don't have a church to call home in Atlanta. Thanks for having me as an out of town visitor.

    Incredible worship

I have only been in the Atlanta area for about a month, but I came from a large church in California. If you know who Lincoln Brewster is, he was my Worship Pastor there. So the bar of expectation was already set pretty high. But the bar of expectation was met here at Passion City! Awesome, incredible worship experience. Plus great teaching from Pastor Louie Giglio and other great speakers. I don't like pastor-centric churches who has a pastor who does most of the preaching-teaching (again, my bar of expectation). So, when I came here, it was just like home. Once I figured out where to park (the traffic around the church can be terrible), I park in the Sidney Marcus Parking deck and take the comfortable shuttles to and from church. Great place!

Genuinely welcoming congregation-didn't feel forced. Pastor gave a life relatable simple story-which is what made it memorable.

Ask the Community - Passion City Church

Why is this church so popular?

I will be attending PCC for the first time next weekend. What should I wear? What time do I need to get there if I'm going to a morning service? How long does the service normally last?

Hey Sarah! I attend the early service also and you can wear almost anything (appropriate of course)...Some wear jeans and others dress up a little. Not fancy, just "come as you are"! As they say..The parking lot gets pretty full by 9ish so if your…

According to their motto, Impact is a "multi-cultural gathering of people committed to sharing the…read morelove of Christ with the world." Their tagline is : "Doing Church Differently" . After about five years of attendance here, I can attest that both these things are true. This is an awesome, awesome Christ-filled church unlike any other church you've attended (and that's coming from someone who's attended A LOT). Impact has only been in existence for eight years. When we first starting attending, service was held in the auditorium of a middle school (Brown middle). From the first time we stepped into the auditiorum, something about Impact struck me--it felt like HOME. Being a PK (preacher's kid), I was raised in church and had become a bit disillusioned by it after some bad experiences. But, since I knew that the problem revolved around the CHURCH and not in GOD, I knew I just needed to begin a journey to find the right church home for me. Once I moved to Atlanta, that's exactly what I did. I must've visited dozens of churches on my quest; some I liked, others I didn't, but none seemed to really grab me. I also had some stiff non-negotiables that I refused to compromise on. 1)The church needed to be diverse racially, and in sex, age and sexual orientation. 2) the praise and worship team needed to be the BOMB 3) the preaching had to be more like teaching than just screaming and "falling out in the spirit". 4) there needed to be ample opportunities to volunteer in and give back to community. Most churches I visited had SOME of these qualities but not one had ALL. ONLY Impact surpassed all my expectations and gave me even more than I asked for. I felt love and warmth the moment I stepped foot into the sanctuary. Then I heard the singing and the preaching and I was in love. At first the church felt like our little secret (which a church definitely is not supposed to be) but then it got bigger, and bigger and bigger. I remember when they announced that the church had become so popular that they had to add two extra services every sunday. Then last year they finally finished their new sanctuary which is so beautiful and modern, including a juice bar/coffee stand, awesome kids play/learn area and so much more. All Impact's success is a testament to the fact that God has truly blessed them. For a church to have only been around eight years yet they house thousands per service and are settled into their own beautiful building, built from the ground-up ...and are debt-free, that's unheard of!! It takes some churches twenty years to do that and then they end up paying it off for years. I am constantly blown away by Impact's vision and drive. Pastor Olu is a young, dynamic preacher who TEACHES rather than just shouts at the congregation. Again, as someone who grew up in church my whole life, I learn something new every Sunday and my wife who didn't grow up in church also learns so much and never gets lost due to christian jargon etc. The praise and worship team is INSANE. Impact does not have a choir but I guarantee if you just stood outside in the parking lot on a Sunday morning and listened to the praise team, you would not believe me. There are usually no more than 5-7 people on stage at a time yet they sound better than some full choirs I've heard in my life. Not only that but the style of singing and the team members themselves rotate constantly so you never get bored. The church is very diverse which is important to me. When I walk into a church I like to see that it appeals to ALL people . Black, white, asian, latino, gay, straight old, young and in-between. As a gay woman who attends with my wife, I feel very comfortable there and we've never gotten a dirty look or stare. Impact is always giving to the community. They provide a small scholarship for college students, they canvass the community, they build house via habitat for humanity and the list goes on. I'll stop here because I could go on and on about how much I love this church. The only other thing I'll say is, come experience it for yourself!

I'm a Disabled Veteran, a Traveling Veteran's Advocate, who's permanently in a Mobility Wheelchair…read moreand has 2 small Service Dogs. Being that I have a local Church that I attend but it's difficult getting there being that the Marta Mobility and Marta transportation aren't reliable. There's been sometimes I have sat at the Marta North Springs Train Station have waited for the bus over two hours so I could go home. Last Sunday which was Easter Sunday I decided that I would try to going to a Church that's closer to my residence which I could get there riding my Mobility Wheelchair. Instead of being treated right as having " Best Day Ever " that a sign displayed on the outside of the Church said that I would. Instead, I was mistreated, discriminated and even had a church. Member taunt me and said to me that I was being unchristian. He said that to me while I was having a panic attack and my PTSD was triggered. I believe at Elevation Church they discriminate against people with disabilities, they put them in the very back of the church. Sitting in the back of the church, it's a complete trigger to me especially because I once had experienced something bad by sitting back the church. Plus, I have sight and hearing impairment sitting in the back, I can't comprehend or enjoy the service. Although several men in the church made room for me to sit up in the front where there should have a section up in the front for ones with disabilities especially ones that have hearing impairment, because it's easy to read lips of the speaker or if they have an interpreter it's easier for them. I totally felt extremely sad I couldn't believe the way I was talked to and was disrespected, I felt completely alone and that didn't nobody cared. Although they have my contact information and others have reached out to the Pastor and Church by email nobody has responded. Now , I don't feel safe to go to any Church in fear that will be mistreated like the way I was at Elevation Church. There were many ADA laws violated last Sunday and they really need to be educated on those laws and how they are in place to protect and govern individuals with disabilities and service dogs. Also, the ones who are in charge of being Ushers and Security needs Sensitivity and other trainings, especially when there's a lot of broken people that are coming to Church for to hear two words, be close to God and for healing. To treat them and make them feel uncomfortable is beyond extremely sad words. I know I will never ever step foot back in that church, and I probably disappointed in the way that they have acted . If you go to Google.com and search Lisa Groves Veterans, you'll see that I have provided Advocacy and assistance to numerous of Veterans and their families. Plus, I've been on 2 No Veteran Left Behind Driving Missions, I have never discriminate any Veteran, their families and individuals especially the homeless. Almost 4 years ago due to a botched surgery, injuries from Steroid and Cortizone injections I started experiencing numbness in my legs and feet to the point where I lost the ability to properly walk, which I ended up permanently in a Mobility Wheelchair. Which I was left on my own, I had to learn how to cope and how to live my life from a Mobility Wheelchair. I also learned that being in a Mobility Wheelchair some people don't treat you right and it's the same with me having 2 Service dogs. I pray that I will find a Church that I can go to that represents how God has instructed us to live, His true words is being preached, to be in the presence of people who are truly Christians and have the love of God in their hearts.
