He was very funny and interacted with the kids right away. After ordering our drinks, he sat next to my son in the booth and started doing magic tricks. My husband and I found it hilarious, while our 4 yr old was mystified. The kids loved their Mickey and gang cups (it's the small things in life). The menu was huge with lots of options. We ordered goulash for starters. SO GOOD! The kids had noodles, which my daughter devoured. I had Jagersnitzel which was also amazing. The portions are HUGE. After being in Germany for a couple months, I have to say this has been the best German I've had since being here. Mixed with the ambiance and entertainment, I'd go back again and again! You won't be disappointed!

Everyone in our group enjoyed their food so I don't think you can make a wrong choice from the menu. The owner came over and did three magic tricks. One assisted by a young girl who was celebrating her birthday and her brother. The magician explained the trick afterwards to them and us, but the other two tricks he did not and we couldn't figure them out. He was very good and had an excellent sense of humor. Definitely make a reservation or you may not get to eat! Well worth a visit, especially if you have kids. The owner/magician speaks several languages so he can entertain everyone. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

It was the only one that was completed....and he had plans in place to build a fourth one. The opulent palace was built in the Rococo style. It was built to be a mini Versailles. The French influence is seen throughout the palace. The location was chosen due to King Ludwig's familiarity as his Royal Family owned a small hunting "lodge" on the property. Ludwig moved modest home to build one if his fairytale masterpieces. Like the other two properties, no expense was spared. The palace is filled with gilded mirrors, chandeliers, walls and staircases. Tapestries and painting cover every surface from the ceilings to the walls to the floor. There are modern amenities in every room. Hot running water, flushable toilets and even a table that could be raised or lowered for private dining. His Venus cave is a nod to his love of mythology. The gardens are stunning. The fountain runs on mountain water. Due to the current summer drought, it has been placed on a schedule. So what happened to King Ludwig? No one actually knows. His love of building elaborate palaces and castles led him to bankruptcy. As he ran out of personal funds, he asked family members and friends for financial assistance. After a while, they stopped loaning him money, so as king he asked the Bavarian government to fund his projects. They said no twice. When he threatened to replace them, he was declared insane by psychiatrists who didn't actually interview him. He was committed and then within 24 hours, he and his psychiatrist were found floating in a shallow end of a lake. Coincidence??? So how was his debt paid back?? Six weeks after his death, the government took over his properties and charged admission for those who visited. A beautiful palace with a tragic mystery.

The interior of the palace is so elaborate from the painting, walls, mirrors, chandelier , furnitures and the stairs. It looks fairytale to me to live in this place. The view from the top is breathtaking. So many butterflies seen. Need a good walking shoes to explore and water. Entrance fee needed before going in. No photography inside. Great experience

One of these days, European casinos will catch up with Las Vegas casinos and ditch the dress code. We're Americans, not James Bond. Yokels wearing flip-flops have money to blow, too. How do you think we ended up in Bavaria in the first place? We have dined in some great European restaurants without wearing suits, so why do the casinos treat use differently? Furthermore, why are machine players allowed to wear whatever they want, while table players are held to the highest of standards? You know, Mark Zuckerberg wears a hooded sweatshirt to work.
