Egg spaghetti with spicy prawns: This food pick sounded super different and interesting, but it was rather a little disappointing imo. It was more oily than I thought. The prawns were so so. Other than the slight spice as described in the menu item, it lacked other depth and flavor. I didn't know what to really expect, but it ended up that that garlic and chili oils sort of overwhelmed the whole dish. The egg noodles looked like it was creamy of sorts, but I guess it was hopeful thinking.
Rigatoni with truffle cacio e pepe: The hubs' pick was better: creamy with flavors that wows. It could have been the ample pecorino
romano that worked well with the cracked pepper. Simple but delicious. Even if you minus out the truffle flavor, I would have still liked this dish. The whole dish was unified. Unlike the other dish where it tasted like the ingredients weren't cohesive together.
This place is truly a 3.5 star experience for me. But because of the price point and rando charges, I'm rounding down. For what we paid, the experience should have wowed in some respect, but it didn't. read more
