This wonderful lady greeted me (I wish I would have gotten her name) and explained they were out of pizza dough! I came in for the pizza and explained that this is the only pizzeria that I can find in Germany or France (in Marseille - supposedly a pizza mecca) that had Salsiccia (sausage / wurst) on their pizza. In the U.S. sausage is a standard offering, but apparently not in Europe. Anyway, she was very nice and showed me the Salsiccia they had left. I asked them if it is was possible for them to just make me a Salsiccia sandwich, and she very politely said, yes! I said I'm simple, just bread and sausage is all I need. I grabbed a Hefeweizen and anxiously waited. What they brought out was something spectacular (see pic). A nice crusty bread, salsiccia, marinated and sautéed cherry tomatoes, fresh Basil with slices of Buffalo Mozzarella (Buffelmozzarella) on the side. The Salsiccia was fantastic, a little mild (compared to the U.S.) but with extraordinary flavor. The tomatoes added something I was not expecting and the fresh buffelmozzarella was delicious. Oh, and that light, crusty bread, just like I like it. What a wonderful sandwich, not even on the menu, but maybe it will be! When I was finished, I thanked every one of them that I could see, especially the lady who greeted me and the man who made that very special sandwich. As great as that sandwich was, the best part of the night, for which I truly thanked them for, was for them treating me like family! They didn't have to do what they did, they could have said, sorry, see you later. But they went out of their way to make me feel welcomed and appreciated. Feeling that it's a great place to chill out and have a very casual meal, I find myself coming back over and over. I've become a fan of this little place. As I said before, it's a very casual place but clean and nice. I took a picture of the inside to give you an idea of the atmosphere. I find it is very relaxing. They even have a colorful aquarium to enjoy. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, good service experiences. The server I usually have is very keen to point out any features or items needed on the menu and keeps my drinks refreshed. The menu itself is mainly regional favorites and pizza (of course!). While I have not tried the pizza believe it or not, the rest of the menu I have sampled I have liked. I have tried the Viennese Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu, both good, but the best I had so far is the Schnitzel in wine sauce. All are served with pommes frites and salad. The salad is nice and fresh, with a great house dressing. The pommes frites though...THE POMMES FRITES...they are golden perfection. Quite possibly the best "French fries"/pommes frites I've ever encountered. Perfect in golden color, fried to their peak, and quite incredible tasting. I recommend them if you get to come to Pizza Bar. They do take credit cards at Pizza Bar, even American Express. Bottom line: Very casual, relaxing, and satisfying place to catch a meal or drink. If you don't like pizza (which I doubt), you can choose plenty of other variaties. The pizzas are made close to the entrance, so you see them preparing them while you wait for your table. Quite impressive skills there. They do it fast, good, and with love. The staff is just great. Very friendly and helpful. Don't forget to ask the English menu. It's available if needed. I've been here many many times, and I never had a moment that I couldn't appreciate the food.

My pizza ended up not being cut at all so I had to cut the pieces myself. Halfway through eating her meal my girlfriend found a hair in her food. Not cool. I can forgive the uncut pizza but but hair in the food is not something I can easily get over. First and last time I'll be ordering here.

My mother and I went there for a lunch on the spur of the moment because it looked so interesting and healthy. However, that was wishful thinking. The salad bowls have endless number of ingredients: that became time-consuming to read and decide which one to order like this very entitled customer (more on that in a minute). That also created the problem for the staff who must spend more time assembling the salad bowls to the order. What's more, the very entitled customer in front of me spent more than five minutes discussing with the cashier which salad bowl to order and whether she could substitute the ingredients. The cashier was too accommodating and too loquacious. Oh, gosh, I was fuming due to sheer hunger. When it was my turn to order, the cashier pointed out that the hot dish I wished to order was 86ed. Nothing to indicate that when I looked at the menu board. I had to make the quick decision which alternative dish to order. My hot dish was promptly served while my mum's salad wasn't. We waited about ten minutes before realising something amiss. The guy who was preparing salad bowls suddenly stopped and took over the cash till when the customers came in. The staff was bouncing off the stations without any sense of priorities. My dish was getting cold so I walked over and glared at the guy to finish the salad bowl. Exasperatedly, my mum approached the guy to give the piece of her mind about the shambolic service. When she finally got her bowl, I was finished with mine. Unfortunately, the salad bowl was underwhelming and tasteless. Perhaps they forgot the dressing when rushing through. A guy with two toddlers got so frustrated and angry when his order for smoothie and a slice of apple pie weren't served after waiting more than fifteen minutes. A customer who came in after this guy ordered the smoothies and got them right away. That didn't sit well with the father. Just don't go there if you don't want to wait 15 minutes in the queue to order and another 15 minutes for the salad bowls as well as getting the dishes out of sequence.
