This place was recommended by a family member that grew up in the area and is worth a visit! Their menu has a lot of options for people and they have A LOT of desserts and regional ones as well. The service is fast and you have to pay inside after you ask for your bill. They are quick to get your order if you eat outside or are getting pastries to go inside. The space is nice and the outdoor seating area is the better option. I would recommend one of the regional pastries such as fruta de Algarve, which are similar to soft marzipan with a thick egg yolk and sugar mixture in the middle. It's not like marzipan in the States and a lot softer and has a better texture and flavor. The other would be the Dom Rodrigo, which comes in a little colorful foil packet. It's an egg yolk and sugar mixture that is in thin strings layered on top of each other and swimming in a simple syrup. It might be too sweet for some. read more

This place can get busy but they are VERY organized and efficient. We ordered pastries and then an omelette. There are two cues, one to order for takeout and a second to eat either inside or outside. We loved their pastries and service was amazing!! The servers were quick and my favorite has been Pedro who took the time to explain things to us. Looks like plenty of locals come here as you can see many families showing up, especially for take out pastries. All the staff was super friendly. Amazing desserts and coffee! The outdoor seating was very nice and prices are very reasonable.

My husband and I visited with the intention of getting the traditional Pastéis de Nata but saw they offered some brunch items and decided to give it a try. We both ordered the breakfast sandwiches which were described as "sausage omelets on homemade bread." Maybe it was a cultural barrier but what we expected to get was an egg sandwich with breakfast sausage and cheese, what we got was dry bread with plain scrambled omelette and hotdogs sliced down the center. Very literally sausage and egg. Before we left, as a Hail Mary, we did order two Pastéis de Nata and they were delicious. And I would give those a 5 star. The pastries here are both beautiful and delicious how ever I wish that they would not bother offering other foods as they are a total fail. Get the pastries skip everything else. read more

Awesome friendly staff, pastries and cakes beautifully done. When my husband and I first entered we almost turned around to leave it was so crowded. I thought we would never get served, however they are very organized you just need to follow the lines and understand their system. My wife and I came here for a 3 pm lunch. You seat yourself and they have a nice outdoor area to eat. The service was good. We are definitely Americans in a foreign place because we both ordered double hamburgers (one with cheese) and expected sandwiches, as the meal was not pictured. The hamburgers were just that- two hamburgers side by side (one with cheese) topped with an egg, with French fries and a side salad that came with oil as dressing. The food was good but not amazing. We did get some sweets to go and they were amazing. We got some pastries, marzipan and rolled fig with almonds on them. Overall the price was not terrible, 37 Euros for everything but we were not super impressed. read more
