My husband got a hazelnut milkshake, which was thinner than milkshakes in the US that use ice cream, but he loved the strong flavors and still enjoyed it. It's probably the only time he's ever been satisfied with a thin milkshake. The people working inside were nice, and there were even a couple chairs right outside where we sat and enjoyed our afternoon treat. A very good option if you're looking for gelato in the city.

My only criticism would be that gelato is slightly too creamy for my taste, but this is often the case, even in better places. My favorite flavours are Cassata, Caffe, Malaga and Yogurt, but other flavours I tasted were reliable as well. Proprietors are friendly, but difficult to communicate with without knowledge of Italian (still doable if one knows some basic, gelato-related words). Opening hours are inconvenient, with a big afternoon break, which is probably explained that Cesare is not a pure gelateria, but also a small café/bar. Definitely recommended, worth a trip from Milan (30 mins by train only).

Most gelatos in this part of Italy are more soft and airy this specific gelato is rich and creamy, almost wet. Pistachio is great, dark chocolate is awesome and unique flavors like Toblerone the family loved. Highly recommend. Make the walk to the top and don't have the tourist trap gelato at the bottom of the promenade here in Bellagio.

As me and my friend Alex enter, we are blown away by the beautiful and welcoming interior with nice cool air conditioning. We order our strawberry granitas and I was exuberantly jazzed.
