in complete shock reading the last few reviews and feel I must reply, though I respect everyone is…read moreentitled to review but its world apart from my time spend at this college, and indeed my fellow student as well, I enjoyed every moment, read on and you'll get an idea of my time spent, excellent college with great facilitators, professional caring and genuine interest in the well being and future of their students. I really feel its important to take the time to review the school of make up artistry, I had the complete pleasure of enroll in the school and complete my diploma, the reason why I want to review is because my situation was challenging to say the very least, I have always loved make up, but it wasn't the road I ventured after i left school, I worked and studied social studies, I truly loved my work, settled down got married and had 4 beautiful children, my life was just great, all until Christmas when I was in Galway with 5 children when my neck gave way and I fell down unconscious in a shop, ambulanced with the children to be told, cancer had taken hold and I had stage 4 cancer, I spend months in uchg, i've more metal in me that guns'n'roses , started chemo, every 3 weeks, and still on it (chemo tomorrow)but thankfully I'm still battling on, I can be very sick at times,, but one of these horrible times I was lying in bed feeling miserable listen to my beautiful children chatting away about school, I was feeling so lonely turned on the radio the dj was asking if you had everything you needed financial stable etc, e what is the one thing you couldn't or wouldn't give up, I thought it was a very interesting question I started to ponder, and remembered I had promised my mum to do her make up for a wedding the next day and I knew I would do it no matter what, I would crawl out of bed on all 4 if need be, then like a light bulb moment I start to think about going for something I've always wanted to do, I'd go for it now, within the hour I had contacted Katie and deposit was paid, well let me tell you my good people, it was one of the best impulse choice I've ever done, it literately was life changing time in my life, I took the Sunday class, this really suited me, in case I got a bad turn id still be able to sit into they Monday class, not ever school would offer this, well I suppose one could get an idea of how much I love it, as I was in hospital during my course time and I got a taxi out of the hospital drip and all and attended the Monday class, I begged the staff to release me for the few hours as i was really not sick - well ok I was, but wild horse wouldn't keep me back if I wanted something, not knowing the girls from then Monday class I was a little nervous walking in, not looking great, drip in tow, but I will never forget the warm warm welcome from Katie and Judy as well, it was a healing few hours I just felt so welcome, its more than a school it felt I was amongst friends, helping and supporting me on my journey, I have never lost contact with the school, I wrote 2 books (the olive branch, my second chance, and milestones and miracles on my cancer journey) I might as well plug it, 10 on eBay, I am delighted to say the books have been very well received, 2 years ago I was maybe for the first time in my life i was speechless to be told I won 'Galway person of the year award'-for taking a negative situation and turning it into something positive, I was so flattered, we had a great night in the Galway bay hotel, when Katie heard this, she sent a makeup artist out to the hotel to do my make up for my special night, now tell me where would you go to get that degree of kindness to a past student? anyone lucky enough to study in wonderful college you will not be disappointed, if you enjoy make up and want to attend a school where you feel part of a team this is your college, I am happy today I got all my exam and now I feel like olive again, I better sign of now and let someone else get a chance to review, I hope there is not too many spelling errors I might have to sign up for a computer course ! I wish all student luck in their future choices but definitely this college is trumps, I had my disabilities but not for one moment was I treated any different, its a warm happy space ran by very professional caring people, you will leave the college with a confidence in your ability to work your new trade. 100% enjoy ye lucky ducks. thank you Katie and all the facilators - very grateful x

Go for it! I am so glad I did. I decided to take the part time course from March to July in 2018…read moreand the creative course during the same time. That decision has been the best thing I have done in a long time. In 2001 I became a fully qualified beauty and body therapist; but I never felt I really had the skills to do makeup well. This course gave me confidence to push the boundaries and try new things. The course trainers were great. They gave feedback on all your work and I loved how so often they reminded you that makeup was about enhancing your clients beauty. Also the diverse skill sets and industries that the trainer were in really gave you a feel for what you might like to do. The trainers and direct encourage you to use all the products from the school, to avoid spending too much on makeup (although I admit I have always loved treating myself to cosmetics) The course director, Katie is help so helpful and supportive. And is always on the other end if the phone for advice. That is the most amazing part of the course Katie provides help, support and career guidance even after the course is over and she even encourages past students to come and sit in on classes anytime, that is pure priceless!
