When I first met my partner, I frequently thought about how nice it would have been if someone was around to capture the sweet, tender and loving moments between the two of us. After years of being together, that has finally happened! We were both a bit nervous about this at first because neither of us have really been part of a photoshoot before. We were wondering if it would feel natural or forced, if we would find the photographer intrusive. But after a few short minutes of talking with Rebecca, we felt that we could be ourselves and navigate the shoot with comfort, ease and excitement which is not only a testament to her talent, but also to her amiability and her ability to connect with people on various levels. Rebecca is an incredibly creative person which is evidenced by the composition of the photos. She took photos of my partner and me in Red Hook, Brooklyn, which hosts an amazing contrast between natural beauty, industrial grittiness and interesting colors. In two hours we took photos in a variety of backgrounds, including the pier by the water, cobblestone roads, old and abandoned subway cars, industrial warehouses and street corners. The result?
