We had to partially take our fence down when we received the new shed. We decided to get an…read moreestimate for a new fence since it was old anyway. We called the number that was on our fence since it appeared to be of good quality. They set an appointment with us and arrived in time. We decided to get a quote based on new wood only and would use the old steel poles and hardware. The hardware could just be repainted and the steel poles were in really good from years ago. He said it would also save a lot of money as there would be no digging. He estimated they could do the fence in 3 months. We got the quote later on that evening. At first I thought it seemed reasonable considering the price of wood had gone up, but once my husband calculated wood costs (with no contractor discount), he felt the quote was too high. We chose to call around. The guy is very nice though and obviously does good work since the existing fence is well over two decades old and is still sturdy.
