I originally reached out to him to get a quote for a private fence for a backyard estimating 255 ft of fence as a baseline. He showed up four hours late to our scheduled time despite our request to reschedule. During his quote time he took no measurements and quoted us for only 150 feet of fence based on just eyeballing it. We agreed to a start date two weeks later, understanding he had other jobs to complete. From the day before the start date to when we ultimately decided to part ways, a span of 10 days for a job that was quoted as taking 2-3 days, he repeatedly promised to show up at specific times, set by him, but no-showed except on 3 occasions, where he showed up 5 hours, 10 hours, and 8 hours late from his set time. His reliability is nonexistent and he showed a complete lack of respect for the boundaries we set regarding our availability as customers. To make matters worse, when he finally did show, he showed to the wrong house initially, taking customer correction, and then additionally showed completely unprepared to work and left within an hour. After over a week of time with no work being accomplished and extremely poor communication, we decided it was best to be done working with Brandon entirely. The final straw was when he said him and his worker would show at a time, and his worker showed up on time, but when asked, Brandon didn't respond with when he would show up or begin work. His own worker waited patiently for over 2 hours in our driveway (also not accomplishing any work during this time), meanwhile Brandon didn't show up until 8 hours later. I cannot express how frustrating and exasperating it was to have to consistently seek out why Brandon was not showing or why he was late, since he was not presenting that information on his own, even when he was clearly late to his own set times.

Josh promptly came out and I showed him everything I wanted done. Within a day or so he had an estimate for me. Even though I was unfamiliar with his work, I liked Josh and I liked his price so I gave him permission to proceed to begin work. A few days later he was able to get started. I was shocked when he messaged me and said that the job was complete on the same day that he started. I knew there was no physically possible way that he could have done all of the work in a single day. After work, I went and inspected what had been done. Everything that he got done looked great! However, it was only approximately half of what I was wanting done. He was very eager for payment, but I asked what happened with all of the other work that I was wanting done. He said, oh, that the other stuff I was wanting done would cost extra. I admit that I should have gotten a written, itemized quote for the work that he was doing, but he NEVER told me that his price estimate was only for SOME of the work that I was wanting done and not ALL of it. Without spending an hour typing up all of the rest of the story (oh yes, there is more!), you will just have to trust me when I say STAY AWAY FROM JOSH MENDEZ AND MENDEZ PAINT & DRYWALL!

I understand if one gets hung up, or delayed, or even changes their mind, but to just blow off a customer without any contact, after making an appointment, is rude and not good business. I hired John many times and the first few times were great until I had him fix our floors. He half…read moredid the flooring left more than half undone, broke a tile, damaged our baseboards and door structures, left glue everywhere, and my tenants living in a mess. First mistake I paid him in full for all the labor of flooring throughout living room, hallway, and all 3 bedrooms. He finished half of the living and hallways and caused damage all along the way. When I addressed the issue he will not go and fix it, refuses to refund me the labor costs for the bedrooms and areas not even completed at all, and I PAID IN FULL SEPARATELY from Home Depot for all the materials to include the flooring material which he will not return to me so that I can find someone else to install my flooring. He now will not answer any of my calls, texts, or Facebook messages. He stole money and materials from me and now we have to file an attorney gerneral complaint, and wait for the sheriffs department to respond about getting the stolen property (flooring material) back from him. I wish I could give negative stars.

I am a military member located out of town but had family observing maintenance on the house due to a bad tenant. I called this cu to do a patch job on my wood floors, had an estimate and thought that would be it. Well they kept not showing up on time and I was calling from Florida constantly. They said they could do the job quickly and it broke my suspense terribly. Being military and a business person this was making me upset. I tried to pay for what needed to be done but ended up having to pay this company and each material store with my credit card on the phone just to get the items while working, I was peed off. They ended up trying to get some paint work added to the end of my supposed to be quick job. I asked for a receipt of work be sent to my email twice in April and still have not received it! To pay he doesn't have a PayPal or business account to charge you he give you his account number you have to find his bank and transfer funds it was the most time consuming and agitating business deal I have had to deal with and my family at the house was not happy with the respect for their time as well. Save yourself a headache and go with another business. I gave two stars only because after this massive headache of working with them the items I overpaid them to do came out correct but keep in mind weren't very complicated at all and I could have gone if I was in Texas. They also kept giving me excuses on why they couldn't do my job because they were doing other people's houses and going into detail, I told them I did not care and needed to know when the work on my property would be accomplished.

Chris gives low quotes, however, he totally takes your money and disappears! He tries to come off as a nice guy who believes in doing the right thing and yet he's a complete crook! I DO NOT recommend hiring this guy. You'd be better off donating your money to a needy charity if you want to give your money away!
