One of the things that means so much to us is the special needs ministry, Light and Power, which reflects the heart of this church so beautifully. My husband and I actually met and married here. The pastor was grounded in Scripture, the worship was Spirit-led and the ushers were helpful and kind. I've been checking churches in the area but it's tough given that most of the churches with young (20s and 30s) people fall into the Korean American group and, although I have like 4 or 5 Korean friends, it's definitely a more homogeneous, closely-knit and insular group to try and fit into than any other out there (Asian or otherwise). That's on me, though. I came due to a friend's suggestion (he's KorAm), but at the last minute, he flaked on me, and I ended up at a mostly KorAm church by myself, lol.
