From our very first session, Dr. Cheng created a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where we both felt completely comfortable opening up. Her compassionate approach made it easy for us to build trust, and that trust has allowed us to become much more receptive to learning and applying healthy coping skills in our daily lives. The progress I have seen in my daughter has been remarkable. We have both gained valuable tools to better manage challenges, communicate more effectively, and approach life with greater confidence and understanding. What stands out most is Dr. Cheng's ability to meet us where we are while encouraging meaningful growth every step of the way. I was specifically searching for a faith-based therapist, and finding Dr. Cheng was truly a blessing. She has provided the perfect balance of professional expertise, genuine compassion, and faith-centered support. I am incredibly grateful for her guidance and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who can make a real difference in their life and the life of their family.

Dealing with my dad's cognitive decline has also been challenging with all the emotional challenges and subsequent estate issues. I find her counseling to be insightful as she is helping me overcome deep anxiety and sadness to return to work with a positive and productive attitude. Every day I annotate what I am grateful for and Dr Cheng has been listed multiple times!

She uses a variety of methodologies and techniques, flexibly incorporating the one best suited to the problem at hand and seeing what works well for each client. In sessions with her was the first time I felt like I was actively participating in the act of healing wounds, not just learning to work around them. I only stopped sessions with her because I moved out-of-state, and I wish I could still work with her.

Lisa has the education, experience,…read moreand training that is essential for a provider, but combines it with caring, encouragement, and most importantly effective counseling. She has a background in trauma that was the key to helping me unlock my potential and begin to manage my anxiety disorder. Liking your therapist is important, but making progress is vital. With Lisa's help I was able to have the best of both worlds. I was her patient for almost three years and, participated in a women's trauma group for a year. The time was a life changing investment, and I no longer feel the need for weekly appointments, although I consider myself a life long patient, knowing that I can and most likely will return for checkups,or help through a difficult time. I know people who have had awful experiences with therapy, or who love their therapist but have been going for years and are still struggling with the same problems. When I started my treatment with Lisa I was enduring life, I was depressed and a victim of my anxiety. That is not the case today. I have days that I may struggle, but I enjoy life now. I feel very lucky to have found in Lisa someone who cared and listened with kindness and empathy, but also had the skill to teach me how to make real progress in managing my mental health.
