I found myself in some trouble while in Ohio. Without going into too many details on a public site I can say that I was horrified, and shocked, at the allegations that were being made against me. Because someone lied I was looking at spending three to eleven years in prison on a sex offense that I did not commit. In doing my due diligence in seeking a lawyer I went through a number of websites and recommendations from colleagues. After an OVI and some, to be polite, misinformation from the local police department, I was under the impression that I would be able to go to court and, having been compliant and polite with the arresting officer, have fairly minor fallout from this incident. The police actually told me that my OVI was expungeable, would carry no jail time, and a minor license suspension. Mr Patituce saved me. I spoke to other attorneys in this area and when they found out what I did for a living it seemed like they wanted to charge me a lot more. One attorney in particular seemed very eager to take my case once he found out that I was a former police officer who works for a certain county organization.
