Stumbled on the gallery when vacationing in So. Cal with my gf Tina. Felt instantly welcomed upon entering and exploring the gallery. Fell in love with many of the pieces we discovered. Theresa was wonderful. She was so fun and easy to work with. We fell in love with the Light house painting. Later that evening we returned to the gallery to make the purchase. Patrick was at the gallery and he custom Sketchedand signed the back of the painting. What a great experience for my first major art purchase. Visited this gallery and didn't see anything good. The art is all cheap, decadent and pop-ish, the attendant whined about not making high numbers of sales recently (oh? you can't sell bad art for exorbitant prices to people just because they're rich? what a shock, boo hoo) which seemed inappropriate to me. Otherwise unexceptional, I'd advise against wasting your time here when so many galleries in the area showcase much higher quality pieces. read more

The usage of gold and silver mixed with layered paint is very unique and reminiscent of early 1900's collaging. Not a review about the art unfortunately. I walked in to this gallery around 1:20 on a Thursday. Just left work so i was wearing a nice outfit (polo and chinos). The middle-aged blonde woman who works here was adjusting a lightbulb on a ladder right in the front. I walked in and politely said hello, then started to read about one of the artists. The woman working the gallery immediately asks me "are you in the market?" Never been asked this question before unsolicited but I said. "potentially." She immediately responds "well, that one's $12,000" in a very snarky tone. In reality I was not looking to purchase any of the pieces and was just taking a look around, but i felt very unwelcome due to her comments and overall dismissive attitude. Laguna Beach is an artist's town and there are many galleries that are open to the public not just for art buyers, but also for enjoyers of art. It is unprofessional and impolite to try to scare someone off with unsolicited comments about the price of a piece of art. Maybe I will go back and buy a piece like the movie Pretty Woman to shut this lady up. Don't judge someone based on their age! read more

Whenever your in Laguna Beach on beautiful Forest Ave you must stop in at Patrick Guyton Gallery. This is my new favorite gallery with very special art much different then typical Laguna galleries. They have about 8 different artist all very unique and wonderful. It was hard to make a decision which was my favorite. Also the gallery director Theresa really make the experience even more special with her knowledge, personality and enthusiasm. She was just awesome and helped me find just what I was looking for .
