It's a mall and like most other malls it's hanging on by a thread, or seems like it to me. They have signs near some entrances that brag about how they open early for walkers, but I have tried several entrances and have never found one open. I usually go to one of the anchor stores (usually only one does it) that will open its mall doors. It's generally clean and quiet until the stores open on the weekends. I have never seen any problems with the young people and have seen the occasional security guards (Paul Blart). I've never felt threatened ever so it's a good place for walking and shopping. read more

It's rare that I use the bathroom in the mall, but when nature calls. Lol Cold water in the bathrooms. Does not make for a good experience when you're trying to wash your hands. Also, the soap dispensers were completely out except one. During the busiest time of the year, you would think that the mall would be working in the bathrooms overtime to keep them from being degraded. read more

The sales representatives at Prédiré are extremely unprofessional. They are full of anger, hate and aggression. One of the girls kept coming at me. She kept trying to intimidate me and threaten me. The supervisor came, and she acted just as crazy. They refused to give me their supervisors information. Someone needs to correct their behavior. read more

I've only been to this mall a handful of times and I was genuinely impressed. Usually I go across the water to Lynnhaven but I actually really liked Patrick Henry! Lots of nice stores! I enjoyed Box Lunch, Toys and Calendar Store, Macys, fragrance kiosks, Tilly's, Pandora, Papaya, White Barn, and more. The food court also had a nice spread. I didn't eat there this time but next time I might delight myself in Dairy Queen, Charley's, Sbarro, Tropical Smoothie, Twisted Crab, or Chick-fil- a. One thing I noticed was the cleaning crew. It was well noted that this mall is actively cleaning! Even in the kids play area. read more

This mall is great and I hate to give it a negative review over one store but unfortunately since that store is in this mall this is the only place I can leave this review and this needs to be seen. DO NOT go into the Spencer's in this mall. I have never been met with pushier staff, I was told the same thing repeatedly about the same sale that was posted all over the store already. When I did not respond to that I was pushed to look at more things over in a different spot, i understand that their goal is to sell their products but it was getting annoying to this point. So I went to the back got what I actually came for and went to check out and get out. When checking out the employee was trying upsell me into getting their brand of batteries which i declined. She then proceeded to get very forceful and began to tell me those were the only batteries that would make it work, I told her I knew this was not true as I have the same product already and have used other batteries for it. She then lied to me again and told me that it would explode and she's only telling me the truth and that it's not the same product because they came out with a new line. Which I at that point knew was entirely false bought the batteries because I knew she was not going to stop. As I left the store complaining about being upsold she proceeded to follow me out of the store claiming she is the manager and she is not upselling and she continued to talk to me with a horrible attitude the entire way out of the store genuinely causing a scene. This experience was truly disgusting and so disappointing I will never be returning there if I even come back to this mall at all. read more

I needed a distraction and food. I wasn't looking forward to returning to my horrible room situation and I had time to kill. It is an interesting layout of a mall, but one that seems to be surviving when most malls are dying a slow death. Most stores seem to be doing good business and able to hold their own. What I was interested in was the food court. I was definitely hungry and not looking for anything fancy. The food court is surprisingly full of spots to choose from. The area has ample seating. It is also strategically located near the arcade and an anchor store. While eating you can take in some people watching. Depending where you park you may have a long walk to the store that you want, or you can spend the day here like it used to be. Be careful with the parking lot because at time it can be used for other varieties of things. It wasn't hard to get here or out of here. It was a great distraction to have for the day I had had. read more

While they have a really good selection of stores and fun things always going on, I got my wallet stolen, there were no active security guards, and when we finally got to the security office, mall security doesn't "deal with theft." Even though we later encountered that did it later in the store. (They ran out one of the exits after my boyfriend and I confronted them.) The cops were alerted, and a lot of the store cashiers were helpful certainly, but keep your stuff on CLOSE guard. Bathrooms, changing rooms, everywhere. Take your stuff with you. Regardless. Mall security won't help you. read more

Amazing place to explore, eat, game, repeat. The foodstuffs are incredibly delicious, the arcade games at Tilt are always fun, and I always love to explore the mall every time I drive there. This is a review on a vendor inside the mall: I've seen these on YouTube and TikTok so I wanted to try it. I got the freeze dried jolly ranchers and they are 10/10 for taste! Very sweet plus you don't have to really chew just melts in your mouth. This is a perfect gift for anyone with a sweet tooth or maybe someone who uses dentures/can't really chew. read more

Wow! This mall surely isn't what it used to be. I understand that the trend is out door malls but they could be keeping it a little more updated and cleaner. Of course, there are the larger groups of kids hanging out, but when I was there they were calm and respectful. There's everything from your favorite shopping stores, to a large food court, and even an Adult Friendly arcade center! The mall all together is kept very clean and has great customer service friendly signs to help make your shopping more enjoyable and easy to navigate. I have really tried to give this mall a chance but after multiple visits here I can say I am truly disappointed. This mall is pretty dirty and most of the stores are very disorganized and lack inventory. The bathrooms are one stall facilities so there is always a wait and the entire place feels outdated. Pros: There are a couple of decent stores like Forever 21, Dicks, JC Penny, ect and there are multiple options in the food court to include a quick service Panera Bread counter. I really hope this mall gets a face lift in the next few years. It would really help bring in more business to the area thriving Jefferson Ave section of Newport News. read more

Decent size. Great location with a plethora of resturaunts surrounding it. It has the name brands stores that people know & love. I love the fact that there's a arcade there for families. However, I don't like the fact that the old navy is no longer there. The cinnabon was also a great add on. When I need a few things, I go there. The food court is okay. Not the best. But they do have a chic Fila & Chipotle & other favorites. I wouldn't recommend any of the Chinese food though. It's always left out for too long and not good. read more

Dillards anchors this retail dinosaur. It is no better nor worse than any other suburban remnant of the 20th Century. Most consumers are tired of driving to unattractive landscapes where they know their cars and persons are at risk due to the draw of those who are just there to hangout and play their games. They are bored by the sameness of the shopping options, the food court lame cuisine, the stale air and piped-in muzak. These relics are slowly dying off. The next generation of attractive, engaging, experiences is happening in the new urban alternatives which focus on tomorrow, rather than yesterday. When they will reach Newport News is the guesswork of utopians. Just as cities are being reconceptualized and renewed, the ring around them will eventually be redefined to suit the world that is coming. Until then, Patrick Henry Mall will drone on until it finds liberty in its death. read more

Patrick Henry Mall has seen a decline over the last ten years. The prices within the stores have skyrocketed, you'll never see the custodians wandering around to keep the facility clean, and the food court options have dwindled. This mall used to boast a bustling atmosphere, but due to the prices and, most recently COVID, the mall is mainly packed with people who just wander aimlessly. There is nothing awe inspiring about this mall- there are no attractions, no decorations. Even the shop employees no longer dress for work; they just show up in whatever. The magic left this place years ago. As a 30 year old who has money now versus the 16 year old who didn't, the mall is just lacking. If you're a teenager it's fun to hang around with friends, I suppose. But as an adult, the price tags made me leave. This mall is single story, so there isn't a lot to explore. There is an arcade, but it's filth is second only to Chuckie Cheese. Overall, compared to other shopping malls in the area (Hampton's PTC, MacArthur Center, Williamsburg's Outlets, etc) Patrick Henry Mall is definitely not tourist friendly and doesn't provide that shopping mall excitement. read more

Average Mall. Nothing spectacular. I really only go to the Mall because Bailey's Bar and Grill is in the Mall, which I frequent regularly. This mall has a food court and the regular stores you'd expect to see in the Mall. It provides some convenience I suppose for those living on the upper Peninsula. But it's not a mall I would go out of my way to visit.. So there's my review. Glad it's here, but wouldn't miss it if it were not (except the Baileys lol). . read more

I just recently went to Patrick Henry Mall after a long day at Busch Gardens. My friend and I were in the area waiting on a friend and we decided to stop in this mall to grab a bite to eat and relax for a few. However, we pretty much ended shopping the whole time because there was such a great selection of shops. When we finally made our way to the food court I was so impressed that we just decided to park it at a table for a while and chat. There is a nice fireplace area with lounge chairs in one section of the food court as well as multiple options for places to eat. I really like this mall and wish it wasn't so far away from me in Norfolk because I really think it is one of the best malls in Hampton Roads. I have friends that live in Newport News so whenever I'm in the area I usually sneak over to Patrick Henry for a quick shopping trip. read more

Only gave it a star because I had to in order to post a review!!! WARNING, unprofessional employees and don't appreciate or follow through on customers being helpful. I bought/ordered 3 items Tuesday mid morning to be picked up Thursday(today) at noon. I understand it's the holidays and they are busy, still no excuse to be rude!! Go today at 12:20-12:30 to get my items for pick up and they are JUST ENGRAVING THEM!!! And not one of the employees or manager were polite, or even took responsibility for me having to wait an additional 20 minutes. 3 customers walked out due to the one employee rolling her eyes and huffing & puffing when customers had questions about an item. Even though I'm a Rewards member I WILL NOT be back and do NOT RECOMMEND the store to anyone!!!! read more

Patrick Henry Mall - You better like it, it is the last indoor mall on the North Shore! At least the parking is free. :-) Not much to say about it overall... Still has plenty of stores and the anchor stores still intact here. During the day it is pretty quiet, but same can be said about most malls in recent years. As far as food, they have a decent selection of quick places to eat here, including Dairy Queen and others. What I really like is there is a Chipotle attached to this mall, and also a Red Robin right out the door if you exit by Forever-21. Decent selection of shopping and places to eat! read more

A chilly Saturday afternoon. I don't visit Newport News often and I don't have a history with this mall. I was bringing someone who lives in the area to the mall to shop for a party outfit. The mall is clean and open with a nice layout. There are several anchor stores with exterior entrances-JcPenney and Macy's among them. Our first stop was JcPenney which we entered from the parking lot. JCP was well organized and we were able to make a purchase of a men's polo shirt on sale. Walking through the mall to the next location I appreciated the well architecturally designed interior. Like new carpeting. Adequate and comfortable seating and wide corridors. We headed to Old Navy which was another success-the purchase of a pair of Khaki pants also on sale. We were done but I figured since I was in the mall I may as well check out Macy's. The trek to Macy's took us through the very crowded food court which appeared clean and organized with plenty of seats and tables. We were stopped by a lady handing our samples of bourbon chicken. They were yummy and very much appreciated. On the way to Macy's we encountered a lady passing out little pillows of fresh pretzels bites heavily dusted in powdered sugar. Auntie Anne's Pretzels has a new holiday treat. We all got samples, my 2yr old cousin got the largest piece and was the most excited. My cousin purchased an order, but they were all out when I placed my order, with an 8 minute wait. I did come back to get my sugar fix after Macy's though. read more

If you haven't been in awhile , you will be completely lost. I went in to get a few items and noticed all new stores along with stores I haven't even heard about. The only thing keeping this mall together is Chick-fil-A (lol) . Not my favorite place to shop anymore. read more

Chick-fil-A, Dillard sale and kids play area are the only reasons that we go there! So far it is nice if they keep the hygiene in order. Play area stinks sometimes. Needed deep clean. Watch and jewelry repair is convenient. I wish they is gap and more of kids things to do. read more

I've been going to the Patrick Henry Mall since I moved to the Hampton/Newport News area. It's a nice mall with a pretty decent selection of stores. I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit this mall, but if you are in the area check them out. They have your typical stores (Forever 21, H&M, Bath and Body Works, Old Navy, etc). The food court is lacking a little. I would really like to see some more restaurants in the food court. They do have a chick fil a in the mall that is very popular! The mall has definitely been updated, but I would really like to see more stores get put in. I have been to several malls around the area that have a wider selection and more to choose from. Overall, this mall is good if you are in the area. I wouldn't make a trip out of my way to visit. read more

This mall used to be mediocre at best but ever since the renovations it is a great place to be. Most of the shops are clothing and shoes. The food court features a Dairy Queen (yummy!) Chik-Fil-A and a Taco Bell. You also can get good pizza and sandwiches as well. Attached is a Dillards, Macy's, JCPenny and Borders. Parking is pretty decent depending on which entrance you go through, the new additions to the mall are clean and stylish. The security is relaxed but gets the job done, and I never feel threatened or hassled by anyone except those girls who sell the lotion at those kiosks. The only thing this mall needs is an arcade. It used to have one, which was nice for the young people but now there is nothing there as far as entertainment. There is no movie theater or arcade. :( read more

Great mall! Even when I lived in Hampton I'd drive the 15-20 minutes just to go to this mall out in Newport News. They had plenty of stores and it's pretty spread out. As a college student it was nice to come here because they had Old Navy and some other inexpensive stores that always had huge sales. Nice to come out and walk around here on the weekends. Man, this mall has changed so much since I was a silly preteen mall rat and for the better too. Sure, it isn't as big as Lynnhaven or as fancy as McArthur in Norfolk but for its location it's pretty decent. It's covienantly located off exit 255A and near lots of chain places and major retailers, Target, Wally World, etc. This place used to be really ugly, there was tacky flooring lots of rough peeps ( they still come on the weekend, though) and just down right dreadful with little decor. Nowadays its much better as far as furnishings and seating areas. Most of the shops are your standard ones like Victoria's Secret, Charlotte Russe, Journey's, Hot Topic and so on. They have a nice Macy's, Dillards, JC Penny's as well. There's hair cut places, two nail salons, and a food court. The food court offers your typical fast foods like Taco Bell, Chik-Fil-A, Subway and other greasy places. I don't bother eating at the food court really, only place I stop by is Auntie Aunnies and the Sushi Stand. Theres vendors all over the place that vary in their wares like eyebrow threads, piercings, jewlery, and sports stuff. It's a decent place to find some good finds but not unique enough to find something special. I avoid going here on the weekends because it gets crowdy and very rowdy. NNPD is all over the place because kids and wannabe ganasters like picking fights amongthemselves here. However, if you go during weekday mornings and early afternoon you'll avoid the crowds and I find the employees tend to be nicer too. Parking is ample but it can get crowded due to Red Robin's aand Bailey's being nearby. Overall, I frequent here at least twice a month to get my a mani/pedi and eyebrows done because Nail Pro has the better estheticians and technicians I've been to thus far. I live nearby and will keep coming, I hope they continue making this place better and bigger as well as placing better food joints in the Food Court. Oh, and then vendors are annoying, especially the guys who work outside of Hot Topic that sell lotions- no one wants that crap so quit bugging everyone who passes by, i know it's their job but they will keep trying to stop you even after you decline. And there's a huge ( literally) pervert that works a natural oils stand outside of Body Central, ladies beware-he's gross. Also, most stores open at 10am but the mall itself opens at 7am for people to take an indoor stoll sponsored by RRMC, if you decided to walk the mall based on the route suggested its about 1-1.5 miles. read more
