I broke my garage door pretty badly, tore the 16' metal edge plate off the leading edge of the door, bent it up badly. I was thinking that it would take at least a week and $1000 to get parts and fix the door. At 2:14 PM I called Pat's and got a prerecorded message. "For emergencies send an email to us" it said, which I did, thinking that if I was lucky I might hear from them before the end of the week. But at 2:24 I received a call from Pat's. Minutes later a repair truck and two mechanics showed up. By 2:54 PM my garage door was fixed and the repairmen were pulling out of my driveway. It took 40 minutes from the time I first called them until my garage door was repaired! Their service is unbelievably good. read more

I tried to get Pat's personnel to come to Council to repair my daughters window. I thought it was all set up, but they never called or showed up at the house. I called one week later and left a message. They never returned my call. Again called several times the next week to talk to someone, and, you guessed it, no one answered the phone. Called two more times, the first and talked to a person and he said he would leave a message to have someone call back. The second time, I again left a message. Well, you guested it not call back on either messages. Finally had someone in Council repair my daughter's window. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Horrible. I used Pat's Glass to replace two windows in 2023. It was not cheap. Later one of the windows showed the seal was broken. Early June- I visited the office and was given pleasantries by the manager and told her what had happened. She said they would schedule glass replacement. No phone call was returned. I dropped in again, and was met by conversation, but she seemed vague in the next steps. Late July- She then gave my wife an I, a date to have it repaired. The date came and went- no call. We walked into the office and asked politely why the repair was not made on the date that was provided. " No she said, that was the date that the glass was going to be delivered - not the repair date. My wife and I knew this was more than a misunderstanding. Another date was made. We waited all day. No call. No show. I called and texted- she said it would be the next day. The next day we waited- but this time I called- it went to VM. Then I texted. She said the glass installer was an hour away. Hours later- no show- no call. When I again called it went to VM. I texted and was told a story that the delivery person was ill and dropped the glass and broke it. ( the excuse, horrible if true, but rang hollow as if it was another attempt to divert). I asked to speak to the manager- she said she was the manager. At this point she dropped all pretense and told me that she didn't have to replace the window- and was only trying to be courteous. She then dropped all attempts to reschedule and said go to the manufacture and sent information about how. My wife and I don't believe any sincere attempt was ever made to correct or replace the window. A plethora of excuses and sidesteps. The worst products and customer service- will never use them again. read more

His crew came out and temporarily fixed my garage door opener spring, ordered the new ones, and then had the repair done in a few days. Techs onsite were pleasant and efficient. read more

Walked into the office at Pats to get 3 garage doors and a 98" slider window. Rather buy local than from the box stores. I got completely ignored. Some lady was having a personal phone call, I could easily tell, and just ignored me. Guess I wasn't rich enough looking for her to even be greeted when I walked into there closet for an office. Walked around and checked out everything I could in that box, and just got ignored. Must be nice to be so independently wealthy you can ignore potential customers, in the middle of winter. You know, the busy time. What a joke. So now I do have to deal with someone out of the Boise area. Wonderful. read more

We did not have a good experience. We had windows replaced, but had one that was obviously defective ( streaking, moisture build up) . We contacted them and sent pictures shortly after the installation. It took them almost three months to come out and check the problems we were seeing. We gave up on them and called the warranty company ourselves . Would never use them again due to lack of support. read more

I contacted Pat's glass on a Friday to schedule replacement of a window in my home as it had been broken, along with some repair to my overhead garage door. I was told that they could not place me on their schedule that day but they would call back the following Monday. I did not receive a return phone call. When I phoned them on Tuesday I was informed that I could not be placed on their schedule to have a person stop by to measure the broken window as they were just too busy and that it would be several weeks until they could get to it. When I requested to get on the schedule, even several weeks out, the very rude woman whom answers the phone stated that "no, she could not schedule this work and that I would just have to call back in a few weeks and see if they could fit me in." I responded that "I certainly did not want to be a bother to this company" and ended the conversation. I would go to Glass Pro, of which the owners and employees are friendly, helpful and honest. We ordered a window glass from Pats Glass 9 months ago..the first time, they didn't record our appt, so we wasted the trip from Nampa. Next, the guy who came out to measure, resigned and the company did not have a record of the measurements! Really? ...So, another 6 weeks to measure and order again. Next up, the company that Pats Glass orders from, cut it backwards x2. Two more wasted trips. Yesterday, the glass Finally came in...and two wonderful men- Jeremy and Mike, came out, on time and installed the window. They were efficient, polite and very sorry for all the mishaps. They could do our repairs anytime... they were Wonderful! I give them 5*****. Our issue with Pats Glass is that they didn't pursue these errors earlier, and seemed unconcerned, so We feel their customer service is inadequate. read more

I went to pats glass to get my screen door screen replaced, it took them two and a half weeks to fix this and I paid 50$, which I thought was reasonable. I went home to install the door only to find there was something wrong with the roller, I took it back to see what was wrong and it took them a week and a half to diagnose it which was beyond how long they said it would take to diagnose, they recognized that the roller was broken but could not fix it and needed to replace the entire door. I would have appreciated if they would have diagnosed this issue before replacing my screen and wasting my money. I feel like I got finessed and do not recommend them. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. The lady who answers the phone is rude and makes you feel as though you are inconveniencing her any time you call. I called last year to see about getting my windshield replaced and she told me that they're just too busy and can't get me in. I called again today to see about getting my windshield replaced and she started with "well glass for your vehicle is very hard to find so I don't know, I'll have to get back to you." She also raised her voice at me because I asked her to clarify something she was asking about my rearview mirror (which come to find was quite irrelevant.) She is about as crotchety as the lady who works at Lake Shore Disposal. I decided to try Pro-Glass. The friendly gentleman said "Oh yes we could get you in today if you'd like!" Pat's Glass replaced our windshield. The installation looked horrible... the molding around the windshield was wrinkled and had large gaps. Later we discovered that the windshield was leaking in three places and the molding started falling off. In my opinion, Pat showed little or no interest in making things right, kept blowing me off, and indicated that he didn't even know how to do it right (but he was calling people to see if someone could tell him how to do it correctly?!?!?). Wow! Unbelievable! I went elsewhere and paid to have the job done right by professionals who knew what they were doing. Lesson learned! It's not always best to try to work with local businesses. I wish I could do negative stars for this company. They charged me $440 for a half an hour work and they used my parts. Initially I was told a $90 service call. The owner said he sent two guys so the price doubled. The technician was excellent. The owner and Secretary were absolutely horrible. Told my bill was also that high because I wasn't a "good" customer. I suggest never getting involved with this company. read more

Real poor customer service ordered a broken window to be replaced Mona said will take 2-3 weeks to get the glass, a month goes I call guess what it just came in, tried to get a schedule so I could be home she doesn't know everyone gone hunting. called again next week blows me off says doesn't know the schedule but will call me back, another week goes by still no call. I will now find another glass company as I should have in the beginning, I would highly recommend you call someone other than Pats Glass & Overhead door. Can I give them a -5? They don't even deserve a 1! This company is THE WORST company I have ever done business with!!! If you have any problems with your install, you will not be able to get past Mona who is rude, unprofessional and will lie to your face. This is no joke! I share my experience not out of vengeance or anger but to warn anyone even thinking of doing business to think twice! They installed a large double pane window for us back in February and one of the glass panels slipped in May, (clearly a manufacturing issue.) Now 7 months later, we still have no resolution. Mona told us in July that she submitted the claim to the warranty company and we are waiting on them. We have called monthly and each time we hear a different story (usually starting with an excuse such as "I have been sick this week or I have been too busy this week or my computer is giving me problems" but all ending with I'll check on it. Sometimes she gets back to us but most of the time she doesn't. She has blamed the delay on the warranty company and then months later sent someone out for a 2nd time to measure the glass. That's when I smartened up. Long story short - we called the warranty company today and they said they have not received a request for replacement and have not heard from Pats Glass since the window was originally replaced back in February. What the heck??? Please save yourself time, money and frustration and go with Glass Pro. They are much friendlier and more professional!!!!!! read more

SHOP A DIFFERENT STORE. Pat himself installed the windshield in my Cadillac SRX; charged more than the going rate and then put in the WRONG type windshield....my rain wipers wouldn't work on "interrupted" cycle, which is controlled by a sensor in the windshield. He couldn't fix it as said he was "stumped" and became very obnoxious.... after I came back twice to see if he had found a fix, (at his direction), he became frustrated and angry so I took the car to a dealer in Boise. Bad product, Bad pricing, Bad workmanship, and Bad attitude. Need I say more? read more

We hired Pat's Glass to install windows in our place in McCall. We requested the two up stair window that were removed to be left so the could be used in our barn. When the installer started I told them about leaving the windows I needed. They were not aware of this but said that would not be a problem. They did a good job installing the windows and sliding glass door. Later we were going to replace our front door and contacted Pat in early 2018 and he measured the door opening, we picked out a door. Mid 2018 we stop in to see what the holdup was and he forgot to order it. Stop in again August 2018 to get and update and the door was in and they schedule install for October 2018. This did not happen and other date scheduled came and went. After the January 2019 install appointment pasted I called and told them if it not done by the end of February to forget it. The door was completed the next week. Problems noted were the communications between Pat and employees. I requested the old door be left in the garage on three different occasions and had Pat tell me four numbers to use to gain entry to our place. I drove to Pat's Glass at the beginning of the summer to replace several cracked windows in my house. She took my name and number and house information. She said it would be about two weeks or so because they were very busy. I heard nothing. After three weeks of being very patient, I called her and asked where we might be on the list. She said she couldn't find our paperwork, but would look and call back. She never called back. I called her again a week later, and she said the same thing, and never called back. I'm now four weeks into the process and have to start all over again with another glass repair place waiting two weeks. She outright lied to me three different times, blew me off and had no intention of helping us. I've told everyone I know in McCall. What she doesn't realize is when her business is slow, she'll need the locals for business. By the way, lady, I wanted the windows repaired so we could sell the house to build a much bigger one in McCall! Guess what......we've told the builder under no circumstances was he to use your business. Your loss. You have to be careful when you lie. read more
