I was there yesterday 3/14/2022, I asked the lady in the front for six pieces of 1/8 floor plate 29.75 X 26.5 inches. She only charged me for one. If I would've known one piece was going to cost me $133.80 I would've look for something more affordable. I feel ROBBED! I went back today, 3/15/2022 to see if they could work something out with me to purchase something more affordable and they refused to give me any type of discount. The manager told me to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE with my business. I ended up buying 5'X7' 16 gage for $133.82. Where is the professionalism here? Her mistake cost me $133.80 dollars. With the new environment and social distancing I can understand some longer wait times, but 45 minutes to pick up material is not really cost effective for any business, this facility is pretty much the only one in town and they have about 12 people waiting to pick up material, all the whole the employees are unloading delivery trucks. This is not really good customer service. If I had another choice I would just walk away, reasonable wait times are paramount to customer retention. This was a purchase of less than $20. My time wasted is worth much more. People please get a clue. Are you hiring? read more

Called to get a price on some ar500 steel. I gave them all The dimensions and they said they call me back I never received a call back so I called again the next day and they told me that they left me a message I check my messages and I never received one I have an iPhone with AT&T and I do not have a problem receiving messages so I went down there in person to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe I gave them the wrong number. He said he would call his distributor after lunch and then get back to me and still I never received a call. I was told to go look for what I needed out by the band saw , there was nothing so I looked on remanent rack and found a piece of schedule 40 buy 2.0 inch 7 feet long. Being a machinist I know they come in 20 foot lengths. I was told that I had to buy the 7 feet to get my 3.0 inch piece. If I was a regular customer I know it would have been no big deal to cut that. The customer service is probably the worst I have ever experience.. it's like all the employees that work in the office hate their lives.. I can't believe I have given any of my money to this business. All the employees have a negative attitude and hate to offer any suggestions on any metal related questions. I will say that the guys that actually get the metal and cut the metal are friendly and helpful. Bad costumer service a lady come outside with a rude attitude because I was knocking on the door, she told me the I have to read a sign at the door and I let her know the I read the same sign like 4 times. Her stupid answer was the I have to wait outside because they only attend two person at a time but the store was empty. I rarely need metal supplies, but when I do...I shop Patton's Steel. The prices are great compared to any of the big box home improvement stores and you can find almost any kind of steel pipe, fitting, hinges, sheets you name it. Great selection of products and you will most likely find the metal piece you're looking for here. The only down side is the limited space in the show room so due to COVID customers are only allowed inside about 2-3 people at a time. I had to wait like 15 minutes just to get in. As I type this review, I am looking at two gorgeous metal poles that are holding my clothes and costumes and am wondering why it took me two years to find this wonderful place! Not only do they have whatever I need, they have lots of stuff that I never knew existed. Thank you for helping me solve my problem​.
