First two appointments were fine, pretty standard. I felt like the doctor was a bit dismissive at first with my concerns as I was curious to why I didn't receive a transvaginal ultrasound since I was still in my first trimester, she quickly dismissed my concerns with a "it doesn't matter if it's transvaginal or abdominal"OK I would assume a transvaginal would be more accurate? Anyways, we discussed my ultrasound results and argued about the fetus' gestational age as the results of the ultrasound didn't match what I had in my chart in my phone. She simply said, you probably ovulated late, wait where is the picture of your ultrasound? Why didn't you get a picture of your ultrasound ? I'm like IDK ASK YOUR TECHNICIAN GIRL. She went into the room not even knowing the results of my ultrasound (RED FLAG). Unfortunately I suffered a missed miscarriage and had two separate appointments scheduled with this office: 1) on Monday for bloodwork, 2) on Thursday for my bloodwork results and an ultrasound. I sat there for 2 hours waiting to be called for my ultrasound and the ultrasound technician had left so I was only given the results for my bloodwork. They don't have an onsite ultrasound technician, the technician is an outside party that brings their own equipment (I have never seen that before) Also, Apparently it's the patients job to let the front desk know what our appointments are going to be ? I didn't know I worked there lol There is a lack of communication within their office. I would assume the doctor is the boss so she should have been the one to let them know what I am coming back for ? Anyways I was left with no official confirmation of my miscarriage as I did not receive an ultrasound only bloodwork results, I was told I would get a referral for a D&C after this dreadful appointment and the front desk person let me know that I had to return on Monday to get the referral from the MD, the OBGYN was unable to provide me with the referral. Even though the OB said go to the front desk so I can get the referral? Again lack of communication, the OB should know the office protocols. Also my file was incomplete, the results from my last ultrasound were MISSING from my file !! I have now gone to a different clinic the same day after I finished my appointment and I was able to receive official confirmation of my missed miscarriage and scheduled my D&C for the next day! I do not recommend this place, stay away! Sucks bc the nurse that did my bloodwork was nice and the only professional one.

So there is no early appointment , the Dr that is going to deliver your baby also starts late although the call to confirm your appointment mine was 9:30-10:00 was told to get here at 9:15 to be the first couple of pregnant people to be sent I been. Here since 9:05 and it is now 11:31 almost noon and still have not been seen yet there is a lobby packed of elderly ,pregnant and sick people waiting to be also seen so if you get called in to get weighted and get your vital signs down forget you have a seat when you are out ! I don't wish anyone one to go through this special with there first child I have never experienced this kind of service in any doctor guess That's what happens with La care. I will not have my child With this Dr I rather go to the emergency room else were Location and request a doctor that is not know since honestly with this rep they probably won't even be on time anyways don't come here I'm would not recommend it to anyone

I started seeing Dr Yang in 2022 and at first it was a miracle. In 30 years, she was the best OBGYN…read moreI'd seen that actually listened to me and helped me with serious medical issues that many doctors had ignored for decades. I am not being hyperbolic when I say it was life changing. I told all my friends with gynecologic issues about her and sung her praises. Then, for reasons unknown, I was handed off to a different practitioner that I saw at the Central Alameda location and haven't seen Dr Yang in a few years. I often had to wait months for an appointment so I figured it was a staffing issue; no biggie, it happens sometimes in medical groups, so I went with it. That's when things started to change. The first problem was my Rx for BC had problems getting filled every single time. Every time! For 2+ years! Sometimes it was a "quick" 30-minute phone call to the office other times it would take days of phone tag. The worst was a week of phone calls before a holiday weekend and my treating doctor never got back to me only to have the on-call doctor on Friday at 4:30pm refuse to refill the Rx because they felt it was unsafe even though I've been taking it for over 2 years! A couple months ago I was prescribed another medication that my pharmacy swears was never put into the system. I don't know what the problem is but this seems like a pervasive issue. The next issue was I went in to get test results and they insisted I take a pregnancy test because "it's their policy". I wasn't even having a procedure, I was literally there to talk. I refused because in the over 3 years I'd been a patient I've never had to do that before, it had nothing to do with the purpose of my visit, AND there is a zero chance of pregnancy. I relayed this to the nurse and she said in a really snarky voice "Well, I've been here 4 years and we ALWAYS do it!" She was totally on some power trip. I could tell this had nothing to do with my care and everything to do with me being compliant. She was angry that I wasn't obedient. A few minutes later, my doctor said it wasn't necessary (because it wasn't) and we went ahead with the appointment. I recently had the same issue where they insisted I take a pregnancy test (again, zero chance of that) and the nurse said she'd have to call her supervisor and in a serious tone threatened me that if I didn't do it they would HAVE to note it in my chart. She then called the main AllSafe office, not my doctor or a medical professional but a pencil pusher at their office, who then called me on the phone while I was sitting in the waiting room, to insist that it was their protocol and they would not move forward with the appointment until I complied. This was not coming from my treating doctor or even anyone with a medical background, it was an office manager. I told her if they insist on putting protocol above individual patient needs, I'll find another doctor. And, I did. It really saddens me because they were such a godsend at first, literally saving my life, but about a year ago things just started falling apart; the staff became very dismissive and condescending putting their own business needs above their patients' care, acting more like police than doctors. A conservative estimate is that a third of women experience SA and the numbers for medical gaslighting/trauma are even worse so you would hope people that are providing sensitive care to women in vulnerable positions would honor that and respect bodily autonomy. Front office staff should not be threatening or coercing patients to comply "or else!" and doctors should be mindful of the lived experiences of their patients. Taking some time to learn trauma informed care and the importance of consent would do them well.

Finally I travelled afar for an Obgyn that knows HRT! So excited and relieved to be on the right…read morepath. They took my insurance and I'm happy and relieved. Thank you Diana, Vianney, and Dr. Martinson for making it a good experience. See you all in a few months!
