I am getting the job done this Friday by the way and it will cost me $1700 in total. Admittedly I sourced a reputable tradie and hot water system myself .. in 2 hours of my time... and has "saved" me $2300!!

All the electrician could tell me was that the fan was broken and needed replacing. One fan would have cost me $809 (excl GST). He didn't carry a basic halogen lightbulb, and could only help by replacing the whole halogen system with LED lights. I had to pay $79 for the privilege of him telling me he could do squat. And that's after he turned up well outside the agreed time slot. I ended up getting another electrician the next day who was able to fix both fans and replace the lightbulbs for $350 (incl GST).

I told the plumber that because I was a pensioner, I needed to save some money by doing some of the work if possible. They gave me a price so long as I could find the pipe to get into. I not only found the pipe but also dug from the mains around the root system of a tree to connect to the pipe I found in order to save even more money. They still charged me the amount they quoted regardless of me doing more of their work: It took them 30 minutes flat to lay about 3 to 4 metres of copper with two bends. I didn't save anything and they didn't even put sand under the pipe as quoted and didn't even fill the trench back in. 30 minutes and 3-4 metres of pipe cost $1481 ... I got badly duped I rang the manager (who didn't do the job) and asked him if that was fair and he said it was fair to him.

We recently had our main bathroom renovated and used a different company where two plumbers came and were here for 6 hrs due to relocation of the plumbing and we were charged the same price as what this service charged for 2hrs.

I rang them over 10 times, told them on the ninth time that I no longer believe their promises but David 100% guaranteed that he would have it removed by a certain date. When that date came and went, I rang him up and he was rude to me and hung up on me. Don't believe a word these guys say. They are rude and unreliable.

Matt installed my new Rheem 160L electric hot water system and did a superb job. The new Rheem has…read morea thicker anode rod and higher quality lining so should last longer than the 15 years of good service provided by my old Rheem unit (which was replaced because the hot water was starting to look rusty which isn't good for the shower tiles grout or whites in the wash).
