    Last year was convinced by a family member to move over to Bob and State Farm.  Six weeks into…read moreswitching to State Farm and Bob's agency I was T-boned by someone traveling over 50mph and am lucky to be alive.  Bob's team did nothing to help me with the State Farm Adjusters.  The car was physically totaled but SF wanted to piecemeal my car back together even though it was 6 weeks old.  After an attorney got involved I finally had a reasonable Adjuster total the car and write me a check.  No thanks to Bob and his team.   Fast forward to March of this year.  I get a rock kicked up and a chip in my windshield while driving behind a snowplow.  I spoke with someone in Bob's office and "asked if my making a comprehensive claim would affect my insurance".  I was told one was collision and the other was comprehensive.  I was encouraged to file a claim as that is what insurance is for.   Fast forward to today.  I get a letter that I am being dropped from State Farm.  I call and ask to speak to Bob.  Bob is not available.  Bob finally calls me back and says "this isn't what you are going to want to hear but I called to appeal for you but there's nothing I can do".   When I challenged Bob with "what do you actually do for me and how have you ever helped me through any of this" he got really upset.  He stated that he has been doing this for 41 years and he did a filing of appeal for me.  I shared that I thought his efforts were very apathetic since day 1 when I needed someone to work for me and my claim and now when I'm being dropped.  He then became defensive and upset and decided it was time to hang up with a "have a nice day". Here's the Truth:  Save yourself from a person who sits back on his laurels and touts his 41 years while doing nothing for YOU, "The Customer".  God forbid you actually use your insurance.  I have never had an accident until this one.  Note: Someone hit me!!  I have no speeding tickets or tickets of any kind in the last decade.  Bob got upset that I challenged his "self proclaimed support of me" and simply responded with "I filed an appeal Dave but no luck". I wasn't looking for 'luck' Bob.   Just to note I had to call Bob...Bob didn't call me.  Bob can say he checked the box but if you are looking for someone to actually fight FOR YOU.  Forget it.  Find another agent and insurance company.

    My car was insured with Mark Hankins from December 2018 to June 2019. In the first few months he…read morewas helpful and responsive when I had to contact him, but near the end of my insured term it became hard to reach him because it would take him at least a few days to respond to my emails and my phone calls always went straight to voicemail. In March, my car was rear-ended and the other person's insurance paid for my car, but unknown to me my insurance company was supposed to send the BMV proof that I was insured at the time of the accident, or they would suspend my license. I did not realize that until August when I had already switched insurance companies, but the BMV had suspended my license at that point. I contacted Mark to ask him to send the BMV proof that I was insured at the time of the incident as soon as convenient since my license was suspended, but he ignored all of my attempts to contact him. I emailed him on a Monday, did not get any response for a week, then followed up with another email the next Monday and still did not get a response. Then I tried calling his mobile and office numbers, and all calls went straight to voicemail. I emailed him again that Wednesday, and still no response. I tried calling him over the next few days and all attempts went to voicemail. I also tried calling the Bristol West customer service number but it just redirected me then hung up every single time. At this point it had been two weeks since I first contacted Mark about sending in documentation to reinstate my license, and I was getting desperate. I called the hotline for claims even though I didn't have a claim to make just so I could speak to a human, and it took the guy two minutes to send in the documentation to the BMV to reinstate my license. The thing is, I did inform Bristol West AND Mark Hankins when I was rear-ended back in March even though they did not have to pay for my car, so I don't understand why they didn't send in the documentation at that point. Bottom line is, Mark Hankins refused to help me reinstate my driver's license even though 1.) he should have done it back in March when I was insured under him, and 2.) it would have taken him two minutes to do so. Additionally, he ignored all attempts to contact him, knowingly forcing me to be stuck with a suspended license for two weeks. Do you really want to be insured with an agent like this?
