This person is a criminal, a con-artist, and a fraud. He did nothing for the cases he was hired for. He puts in no effort to win, ignored almost all of my attempts to communicate with him unless he wants another payment, tries to make you feel guilty and plead guilty, withheld vital discovery evidence after repeated attempts to see it, shows up late or barely on time to the hearings. He tricked me into hiring him for another case for a short time and then came to my senses 2 days later and asked for the retainer back but he wouldn't do it. As justification for not refunding me, he gave me a 3 page report of his alleged research he claimed he had done which turned out to be from a single plagiarized source ripped online word for word, no doubt put together after the fact pretending he burned through that entire retainer in a couple days. He then said he would pay me back a fraction of the retainer which he later backed out of as well. I came to find out he had enormous financial problems, contributing to his decision to exploit his clients, facing eviction and very far behind on child support among other debts. After he withdrew from the case I went ahead and won the case on my own without council. But the case could have been won in a couple weeks had he known what he was doing like he pretended to. I'm pretty confident they would have dismissed the case pretty early had I never hired Paul to begin with and was allowed to see the evidence against me right away rather 5 months later. But instead he caused the case to escalate and last nearly a year. Having no lawyer at all is better than having Paul Ksicinski at your side. NEVER, NEVER NEVER hire this guy. Wherever he got his law degree from, it must be very easy to obtain. Wisconsin is the only state where almost anyone can practice law. He's a scam. He's listed as a private defense lawyer, but he works on the prosecution to help convict people. CCAP his records. He's nothing, but a menace to society and has a lengthy court record. Drinking on suspension, tax evasion, non payment of child support. He uses his victims to pay his debt, but don't do any work on their behalf. NONE. He didnt even know my name or anything about me on the day of trial. He gets paid by turning people in the the DA, once they hire him for poor services. He doesn't show up, return calls or defend you in court. He basically tells you to sit quiet and not say anything, while he let's the prosecution have their way with you. He got let go as a public defender, but his actions are clearly one of a non-experienced lawyer. He doesn't know the law, he only knows how to manipulate and scare people into taking pleas. BTW if you need a lawyer, never go with one that is going to have you plea to things you didn't do, because he's too lazy to look at discovery. Behaved unethically while handling my cases. Did not use written fee agreements, did not put my advanced fees in trust accounts, spent advanced fees before earning it, did not return discovery evidence after withdrawing from my cases, did not provide a statement of accounting after withdrawing, ignored my e-mails (over 40 e-mails sent over 5 months), did not return unearned fees, plagiarized 3 pages from a single source word-for-word in his 5 page withdraw letter as justification for giving me almost no refund on a civil case I gave him a $2,000 retainer for that he was only verbally retained for a couple days for, agreed to a small refund that he said he would send but after 8 months he still had not sent it. Filed a grievance with the OLR where he was privately reprimanded for his actions and I see he was privately reprimanded for another case around the same time.
