My first experience with Dr. Wu was when I had an occasional voice problem. My voice would go very horse at different points in my life . I visited Ear Nose and Throat guys and General Internist and none of them figured it out. Dr Wu determined that it was allergies and they do not have to be seasonal. So a problem I carried for 10-15 years was finally diagnosed and treated by Dr. Wu. That was a huge relief for me As life continued on, when I was sick, I would call and every effort was made to see me in 24-48 hours so I could be treated for the illness I had now. Used to be if I called a Doctor, they would say sorry...nothing till next week. Never did that happen with Dr. Wu. Over time, every experience I had was a positive one. The office staff was always kind to me. Dr Wu has a common sense approach to medicine. If you are looking for a bunch of prescriptions, this is NOT your place. You will be prescribed for what you need. Everyone speaks Chinese and English in the office. I always enjoy my visits ... The Fish Market comment is lost on me...What?

    I've been seeing Dr. Lytle at MCA (now BU Affiliated Physicians) for 4 years now. It's always…read morepleasant to go in for a visit (as pleasant as a doctor's appointment can be), whether it's planned or unplanned. The front desk is constantly busy and it can take a short wait before they get to you, but don't mistake that for rudeness. Dr. Lytle has appointments as early as 7am, which means you don't have to be late for work or skip out early in the middle of the day. I've never had to wait months for an appointment. Even though it's nearly impossible to book her on a last minute basis if you get sick (which isn't different from any other doctor's office), there's always a NP available to see you w/in the next day or two of calling. Dr. Lytle shows genuine care and interest in her patient's health and well being. She always asks questions and actually takes time to listen, which is rare form these days. She also prides herself on being on time and doesn't like her patients to wait. She'll apologize if she's late. It's the little things that matter. =) I've also seen NP Meghan a few times as well when I've been sick, and she's great. She's so personable, friendly, and easy to talk to. She really takes her time to talk to you to understand what's going on. I've never ever felt rushed to get out the door with her. I can't say anything but praises for MCA. Even though I don't work in the city anymore, it's well worth the hassle of parking, T-ing, or fighting the peak hour crowd to see a doctor who actually cares about me!

    I waited for a month to get a followup mammogram and ultrasound. I chose BMC because they were the…read moreearliest available. I received no less than 6 emails and texts to remind me of the appointment and to pay the copay, which I prepaid online. After I left work early and waited 1.5 hr at BMC, someone came to tell me that they cannot see me today because they did not receive the images from my prior mammogram, and I needed to reschedule. You couldn't have told me that 1.5 hr ago? I could've contacted the other clinic within the last 1.5 hr to have them send the images over. Whose responsibility is it to get the images? When I booked the appointment, I made sure to tell them my original mammogram was from another clinic. No one followed up with me. No one asked me to sign a release. They sure sent me enough reminders to get their money though. When I asked for my money back, I had to wait to "talk to the manager." They could not give me my money back, but told me to call the 800 number for BMC's billing dept. No, thank you! I'm not wasting any more of my time with BMC. I just disputed the charge with my credit card. This is not the standard of care that I would expect even at a small local rundown hospital, let alone what they claim they are at BMC. If you are looking for a high standard of care and a team that follows up and follows through, BMC is not it. My husband also had many bad experiences with BMC making appointments in the wrong department and cancelling on him without notice. When you are dealing with cancer or potential cancer patients, it doesn't seem to matter to them. Time is not of the essence. As long as they get their money, they're all good. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else. There are much better hospitals in Boston.

    Tried this practice/doctor for a year. As of this writing, I believe the annual individual fee is…read more$10,000. I do not recommend them and did not renew for several reasons: * Dr. Donahue is not terribly responsive. There were several occasions where he said "I'll get back to you" and then never did. * Relatedly, I would have to call and follow up every time test results came in-he/the practice never reached out to me. Even the boring ol' dermatologists and ob-gyns of the world (in non-concierge practices) let you know your test was negative/positive/whatever. For $10k a year...can't Dr. Donahue or his staff do the same? * Inability to schedule online (every time I emailed to ask about an appointment--even for telehealth--I was told to call in to speak to someone live just to schedule the appointment). Every time they wanted to see me, they would email me and say "please call in to make an appointment." Couldn't you just have...sent some appointment times in that very email? Or call ME? For this (alleged) level of service and fees, I'd like the ability every hairdresser and nail salon has had since 2010: let me schedule online! Offices can certainly review and reject appointment requests, as these other professions do. * Dr. Donahue is relatively scatter-brained, to put it politely, to the point that it will affect your care. I experienced this a few times across my year in his practice, including in minor ways (e.g., promising to get back to me after he reviewed an article I'd sent him), but the most egregious example is that we had a entire appointment (reviewing test results and recommending actions for me) that he subsequently forgot about. I checked in with him about a month after the appointment to follow-up, and he emailed me to ask me to take a variety of tests before we met...which tests I'd already taken and discussed with him the prior month. When I mentioned the date of our prior meeting and the lab results, he sent an email apologizing. Still: if I were less meticulous--or forgetful myself--I'd have undertaken a whole new round of tests (not covered by insurance, natch). At various points throughout the year, I actually wondered if he might have early-onset Alzheimer's. * Dr. Donahue runs a LOT of tests--many of which are not covered by insurance--the results of which are not terribly helpful. For example, one relatively expensive test for 'food sensitivities' revealed some for me...I asked if I should eliminate those items that showed up in red on the test, at which point he told me the test could be revealing a sensitivity OR just picking up on stuff I'd been eating a lot of lately. That....would have been helpful to know before the test, when I might have modified my diet; when I mentioned this, he said that I could always eliminate something concerning me and then retake the test in a few months. * Dr. Donahue would frequently say things--especially early on, going over my medical history, etc.--like, "now THAT'S interesting!" if I presented a medical quandary or something bizarre or troubling. This language happened a few times, when I presented new issues or we got new test results in. Conversely, I got the sense he was a bit zoned out when we talked about your regular 'run of the mill' medical issues (e.g., high cholesterol), and that overall, the only way to keep his interest would require an ongoing litany of unusual troubles...like he's "House" or something. *At our first meeting/physical exam appointment, he cheerily pointed out a few times that he could do my ob-gyn work, too! I have a great gynecologist, which I mentioned--and he re-mentioned, again, later, that he could do it, too. I thought it was odd that he mentioned it first (I hadn't brought up ob-gyn work because I already have that taken care of) and more than once. I was attracted to the practice because I felt that Dr. Donahue's experience as a doctor in a more rural community may have given him the knowledge/wisdom a kind of old-timey house call doctor would have. Instead, what I got was part absent-minded practitioner, part woo woo medicine dude. No, I don't want to order oregano oil from your Personal Health MD dispensary at Fullscript.com, where you make a commission (and where everything you prescribed costs more than from GNC, Amazon and other online stores). Jeez Louise. That kind of stuff makes you feel like you're in a multi-level marketing scam rather than a pricy concierge medicine practice. If you definitely want to be part of a concierge medical practice, you can find several others in the area for much less money and with more responsive, professional doctors. If you're still on the fence about signing up for concierge medicine at all, I'll say this: you're in the Boston area, and there are no shortage of awesome physicians to choose from who are just part of the regular ol' conglomerates we have. Whichever way you decide to go, this guy ain't it.

While I do support and believe in alternative therapies, when they make sense. I believe in them after traditional medicine might not work, such as acupuncture or massage therapy and the like. I Don't subscribe to the idea that Supplements or Molecular and numerous Genetic testing should be used as a Primary approach to health care or in lieu of traditional medicine first and foremost. That's what Functional Medicine is, lab tests that your standard insurance carrier will not cover and will reject the claim as 'Experimental' because it is which might also explain the high annual membership cost. If you're looking for a physician who isn't interested in 'your' input regarding your medical needs and would prefer to 'tell you' what they thinks is best, than this is the practice for you. If however you want to have a meaningful dialog to work on a plan together such as discussing past comprehensive medical history or being 'asked' if you're familiar with a certain medication or protocol 'before' making assumptions and decisions...this is 100% definitely NOT the practice for you. The membership fee is very high and while you usually don't have to wait long for an appointment. The trade off is not having a traditional GP/Patient relationship. A traditional GP wouldn't sell me a $140 bottle of CoQ10 because my whatever enzymes were low for instance. Or some vastly overpriced liquid fish oil to help with joint pain, because we all know joint pain is based on inflammation and fish oil reduces inflammation...okay. (Which I found on Amazon at 1/3 the price btw.) Don't get me wrong. If this approach 'is' your thing and your not interested in a standard medical GP for your routine illnesses than by all means, enjoy the lovely persian rugs and fine china while you sip some herbal tea. If however you're looking for a Concierge Physician that practices standard traditional medicine or to provide routine referrals as needed. This is not the practice for you. I'll stick with a traditional approach where the emphasis is on treating the patients needs, it's never failed me before and you're valued a great deal more than in a Functional Medicine approach which prefers to ignore the symptoms and go off on tangents for the all important 'root cause'. Vitamins have their place...on the store shelf of my local pharmacy.

He and the two PAs that I saw were fantastic. I was able to get X-Rays in the same building and they helped me schedule an MRI. I was seen again right after my MRI and was told I didn't need surgery (thank goodness), and was given a clear instructions on how to take care of my injury and ensue a quick and full recovery. Dr. Salzler was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and empathic. The same can be said for both of his PAs that I worked with and his front office staff. He and the PA team answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend Tufts Medical Center Orthopedics and especially Dr. Salzler.

I've had other doctors and she is really the best. Makes you feel comfortable and remembers things that you tell her. Only thing that wasn't great was sometimes its hard to get an appointment or you wait a bit but thats typical everywhere I've found. Her nurse Beth is really nice also. They actually make going to the doctors not so bad. The office is great cause it is associated with Mass General. Great hospital. Moved out of state to NYC and I really miss the wonderful care I received. Hoping to move back and be her patient again one day!

She wants you to ask questions and doesn't seem to judge anyone. The first time you go is really just for a consultation so I had to make another appointment for a physical. The only problem with that is that the appointment is in May because she is so busy! Her nurse, Beth, told me that she will return my calls (if I call) and really be my contact because Dr. Ramos is so busy. But I am hoping that isn't an issue. Also, the convenient North End location means that if I were to ever get sick, I wouldn't have to travel far to see my doctor. Although getting an appointment with her might be an issue...

    I've been a patient in the South End office since the last week of 2014. My PCP was a young man…read morenamed Dr Shi for the 1st year before he moved to SF. I have 7 herniated discs, 3 vertebrae compression fracture, no cartilage in my shoulders, wrists, or thumbs due to degenerative joint disease, and my mobility is extremely limited. Just getting from bed to the bathroom to the living room is a challenge every day. I am disabled, but was turned down for disability multiple times. That is not Fenway's fault. My PCP since has been a Dr named Ethan Brackett. With my sister's help, I started driving for Uber, then Grubhub, and now Lyft to support myself, but due to such limited mobility, I cannot work full-time. My physical therapy was managed poorly for almost a year and a half before I just stopped going. Getting there was too physically demanding for me and there seemed no chance at receiving help any other way. My pain has been managed with cyclobenzaprine (flexerall) which does not help me, does not increase mobility either. It only causes me to be too tired to drive, so I don't take it regularly. I was given Gabapentin which made me physically ill and didn't increase my mobility nor did it decrease my pain levels. The third medicine prescribed was Tramadol, which seems to be the lowest level of an opiate. Tramadol doesn't negate pain, but it does improve my mobility by about 5 to 10%, which is enough for me to get out of the house. My pain level is at a level 10 constantly, in every moment, which numerous shots of adrenaline due to constant shots of pain able to take a normal person to the ground. Doing basics like getting dressed, putting on and taking off clothes, leaving the house, and running even the most basic errands takes energy out of me to the point of not being able to move at some point during the day. Some days, I never make it out of the house. Also, I cannot sleep as moving at all shoots pain out of my shoulders, and the increased levels of adrenaline make it difficult to relax my mind and body enough to sleep. I've managed my pain via meditation for years, averaging less than 2 pills per day for over 7 years. However, in the last 6 months or so, I have taken more tramadol to get me to be able to move to sustain even the lowest levels of self-sustainability. I have asked for a stronger medication countless times, and the only answer I get is to take gabapentin, which makes me sick. The only sense I get is a sense of self-preservation and cover their own ass for Dr Brackett, Dr Shi previously, and the recent classless, condescending, combative Dr. Jatinder Gill of the Arnold Warfield Pain Center. Because of my age and ability to earn in the past, it seems I qualify for nothing that can help me, and despite referring me to an advocate, and a financial services advocate, these people have only emailed lists I could readily find on the internet. Are there any doctors out there who actually care about the patient's best interest instead of just pawning the patient off of on someone else once their pain level reaches an insane level which makes it difficult to live? About calling and communicating with Doctor's through the patient portal, about making appointments and connecting different people with information throughout my care, Fenway South End has been good. The people there may be overwhelmed, but they take care of me and my past requests as soon as they can. They do so in a pleasant manner. They are really smiley, but I understand the stress they are under, so I am patient and kind and appreciate all of their hard work. This is why I rated Fenway South End a 3 star review. They are not horrible, but I certainly don't feel I have a doctor who is really ready to help me. I feel like I am getting a big stiff arm as long as I am in pain and as long as I am not completely incapacitated.

In August 2025 I had a short telehealth visit solely to renew my PrEP prescription -- something I have done routinely for years under the same insurance plan, which covers preventive visits. Despite this, I was billed for services that were never provided and should not have been charged at all. Over the following six months, I made multiple calls to the billing department, waited on hold for hours, contacted my insurer several times, and repeatedly received different explanations or was told to wait for a review that never seemed to happen. During this time, the balance was even sent to collections. Only after I escalated the issue directly to executive leadership was the error reviewed and corrected within a few hours. I appreciate that the leadership team ultimately fixed the problem, but it is deeply troubling that it required that level of escalation to resolve what was essentially a straightforward coding error confirmed by both my medical record and insurer. If you use this provider, I strongly recommend monitoring your bills closely and documenting every interaction with billing. The clinical staff may be excellent, but the billing process can be extremely difficult to navigate if something goes wrong. I hope this review helps others avoid the amount of time, stress, and effort this situation required.
