I know that Dr Evans continues to teach at UF, so I feel good that he is knowledgeable and is well respected in the community. I sent a work colleague to him for some help for her son, she also was very happy with him and it sounds like he really helped her son. He is very easy-going and can be funny when he wants to. I liked that about him. He is clearly very smart but he doesn't talk over your head. I really liked that it was a real conversation with him. It made me feel at ease and I opened up more quickly than I thought that I would. I would say to anyone that you should try and do some research on any Thanks psychologist. Then one day he walked in with a shadow and asked if it was ok if he could join in. When I learned that this kid was actually going to be replacing Dr Benton I can admit I was a little worried. He was young and Dr Benton had some pretty big shoes to fill. But, I trusted Dr. Benton and if he was turning over his patients to Dr. Powers then surely he knew he had picked the right man for the job. And of course he did. I have never had not one problem with Dr. Powers. In fact the only problem I have is that I recently moved 2 hours away and I couldn't take him with me. Currently looking for a new pediatrician in my area that can fill Dr. Powers shoes.

Though I do suppose it's possible that anyone can have a bad day, I want to make a point to vouch for the Rick I've known for years. He is consistently one of the most joyful and caring people I've ever met. My family will make a point to pop into his office anytime we're in, just to say hi and see his smile. Also, I don't know of any answering machines that have selective services. They treated us just fine when we were on Medicaid. He obtains copies of all medical data from other providers so that he has a clear picture of my LO's overall health. He calls me into the session for my opinion on issues that concern my LO's care. Yes, he does update the records while the patient is present. It can be distracting, but I choose to see the positive---he doesn't forget what was discussed!

Dr. Amiel is very condescending and rude, he will speak to you like you are stupid, will sit at his desk for 2+ hours typing away at his computer while barely providing any eye contact, and will ultimately make you feel like you are on trial or under arrest for something. During my second visit, he could tell within minutes that I was irritated by his tone. He asked if I was bothered by his questions, to which I told him I was bothered by how condescending he is. I then explained to him how many negative reviews written by former patients of his exist and how they paint an experience with him identical to mine. He seemed surprised, as though he never takes the time to see what his patients think, but he responded that I "shouldn't believe everything I read." Before I left our second visit, I told him I don't believe everything I read, I believe what I experience.

While I was waiting for the manager, or whoever is in charge, I pulled a ginger chew out of my purse & ate it. When the brunette walked in she said under her breath, "that's a great way to start an interview." First of all, am I applying for a job here, or am i paying you for the physical therapy?? I'm paying "you", not the other way around. & my tummy hurt. That rude first impression made me not want to be there. & I ended up calling & making up some excuse to not have to finish out the last week or two. & to top it off, when I offered her a ginger chew, she made a look like she was disgusted, & said, "I HATE ginger." Rude. A kind "no thank you" would have been more appropriate. But I'll still give them 4 stars bc the physical therapy was consistent & the PTs were kind. I just couldn't stand the manager, or whoever "interviewed" me, & thank God I don't have to work for her, bc she's not so nice.

Never thought I would ever need an oncologist as I was healthy and not feeling sick in any way…read more However, this statement changed in February 2022, when life happened and I was informed by my primary care physician (PCP) that my breast biopsy results were positive for cancer. My PCP referred me to Dr. Amy Nance at the NFRMC cancer center. I had no ideal of a treatment plan for breast cancer nor did I know what to except or what I was supposed to do.....but Dr Amy Nance did!!! My first appointment with Dr Nance was very informative and I was very much impressed by her extensive knowledge, which put my physical and emotional state at ease. I had so many questions about my diagnosis and what was going to happen next and she answered all of them; there was no time limit as long as I had questions she was going to stay in the room with me and answer all of them, she wanted me to feel comfortable with the treatment plan, which I was!! Dr. Nance became my PCP for my cancer diagnosis and treatment , she did all the referrals to the other specialists that were going to be a part of my cancer treatment team and those referrals were to the best specialist. Dr Nance is wonderful, she listened and understood my concerns and had solutions for them, which I greatly appreciated. Let me reassure anyone who is going through a diagnosis of cancer, if you want the best oncologist to treat you, I will always recommend Dr. Amy Nance. He wrote down the name and number on a piece of paper and said, "This is where you need to go; this is where I send all my patients." From the first phone call to set up an appointment, to my most recent visit this week, I have been treated with utmost compassion and care. The great thing about Helping Hands is that there are several doctors there, each different and unique in the treatments provided, and you get to decide what works best for you. For me, the kinesio taping, Magnezyme supplement, and exercise suggestions offered by Dr. Faas has been very helpful. My personal favorite though, is the Graston Technique, or instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, used by Dr. McChesney. This is one of the many techniques she uses to relieve my pain, and with regular adjustments, I often feel better by the next day. Combining their expertise has helped put me on the road to recovery, and minimize the need for pain medications. I have not yet met all of the doctors and therapists, but have been thoroughly impressed by those who have treated me thus far. From the front desk staff, to massage therapist and doctors, everyone I have met is extremely knowledgeable. They use an integrative approach, and communicate well with one another, ensuring the best treatment possible. Most of all, they listen and they CARE.
