Out of all the Chevy dealerships round here none of them come close to this spot. Their entire staff from sales are always really friendly and knowledgeable and have always always put me first. Love getting my car serviced here, they're usually pretty quick and being apart of their rewards program really helps with the points towards vouchers for discounts. DISGUSTING!!! A MUST READ !!! In September of 2024 I purchased a 2018 Cadillac CTS off the front line of Paul Thigpen Chevrolet. I was assured by Thigpen sales staff the car was in great condition. They delivered the vehicle to a family member in Florida. Unfortunately, the family had nothing but problems with the Cadillac. I flew to Florida and took the car to the local General Motors/Cadillac Dealer. They inspected the car and gave me an estimate of $8,398.18 to fix everything wrong with it! When I questioned the very kind service manager he replied "That is what happens when you buy a SALVAGED car !!!" He proceeded to provide me a General Motors internal report showing that this Cadillac CTS was SALVAGED and recommended to be SCRAPPED by General Motors in early 2019. Over the next month I took all this information and contacted Management at Paul Thigpen Chevrolet. I attempted to speak to Paul Thigpen himself, but was told on two occasions "He does not speak to customers"....amazing. His COO Stephen Gorden advised me Paul Thigpen lives on an island and does real estate deals and doesn't have time to deal with customers of his dealerships. Over the next month, and much arm twisting, Thigpen Chevrolet agreed to take the car back and return "most" of the money spent on it. It was a terrible ordeal. Ten days later I happened to check the Paul Thigpen Chevrolet website and could not believe my eyes! There was the same 2018 Cadillac CTS VIN number 1G6AP5SX2J0183106 back up for sale ?!?! The listing had absolutely no mention of the SALVAGE and SCRAPPED history. In fact the price was increased by over $6,000 to $21,000+ Today I telephoned the dealership and spoke to Mr. Dave Anderson, the General Sales Manager. He was totally aware of the whole situation and had full knowledge that General Motors deemed this Cadillac as SALVAGE and SCRAPPED. He advised me Thigpen purchased the Cadillac from Manheim Auction and Manheim would not take it back. He flat out stated he "does not want to be stuck with it". I pointed out how disgusting it is that he and Paul Thigpen are now attempting to resell this Cadillac and stick it to another poor customer in hopes the new buyer doesn't check its history. I strongly recommend you think twice before buying anything from a Paul Thigpen dealership. They have clearly demonstrated they will knowingly sell SALVAGED and SCRAPPED vehicles to unwitting customers. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON DAVE ANDERSON AND PAUL THIGPEN. read more

Great experience from the initial phone call to the completed purchase. Im happy with zero complaints. The team that assisted me was professional, friendly, upfront and most importantly honest. My trade-in offer was within KBB range and the vehicle I purchased was listed below the market value and other like trucks in the surrounding area. I appreciated not being surprised with additional fees when I came into the dealership. DO NOT BUY SIGHT UNSEEN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!! They are CROOKS. Purchased 2020 ford transit 250 and the salesman ASSURED me exterior had no dents,dings,scrapes or known issues. Had clean carfax. Had been in a ACCIDENT! Exterior had several dents and scrapes. Paint runs on quarter panel. Would have refused vehicle but was in a bind and needed a service vehicle. Please don't waste your time here. I needed a rim ordered and decided to go ahead and order 4 new tires. After almost two weeks the rim was "stuck in Charlotte." They never called to update and when I called several times they blamed it on the GM strike that ended in October. I called Franklin Cadillac in statesboro and got the rim and tires the very next day. read more

I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Paul Thigpen Chevrolet (Vidalia, GA). We purchased a vehicle from P.T.C. 2 months ago and have yet to receive the tire spacers that were agreed upon prior to purchase. The weekly follow-up calls and texts to the salesperson have only resulted in responses of 'I will check on it in the morning' or 'it's on backorder'. Feels like we are getting the run around. Take it from me, 'Talk to Woody' and 'Don't deal with Paul'. read more

We decided on a Silveraido crew 1500 the salesman was not aware that the truck we wanted did not qualify for the available discounts. We discussed these discounts prior to even looking at the available trucks. This caused a lot of confusion and my spouse felt like we were being taken advantage of. We agreed to purchase a different truck that qualified for the discounts. Our salesman kept disappearing and had to be located multiple times. I filled out forms and was told my credit would not be checked until we decided to move forward with the purchase. He was out of the room five minutes and I started receiving notifications on my phone that my credit had been accessed. We traded or 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk and had to get the consumer protection agency involved in order to get the existing loan paid off. It took multiple calls to have the registration electronically processed. I will never set foot in a Thigpen dealership again. Not one person took responsibility to solve our challenges. Dealing with everyone was extremely frustrating and challenging. That was when you could speak to a live person, not one voicemail was ever returned. read more
