Of all the things an expectant Mother does not need, is to be told that w/out even being met with, that I'd been judged as to not being good enough. I swear that to anyone who will listen, I intend to tell them of the bow tie clad Doc who I wasn't worthy of. I'm genuinely glad that he will not be delivering my Baby.

The office staff was great, nurses were good as well but Dr Ross herself is not very attentive. She often seemed very disinterested and would talk over my wife or shrug off her concerns. She put my wife on some medication and then at the next appointment she didn't even mention it or ask how's it's going with said meds. I'm not sure if it's a personality issue or if Dr Ross has too many clients but either way there is a severe disconnect. My wife and I both do not recommend her.

The only reason I went back is because my doctor referred me. A mass was found on my ovary via ultrasound. After a MRI I had an appointment with Dr Toshnik. I waited one hour ,45 minutes sitting in the exam room. Not one person checked in to update me on his arrival. When he did finally arrive he spent 5 minutes with me because he had to go deliver a baby. He quickly looked at me and said, "Let me just cut to the chase. I've never seen a tumor like this. Have you even looked at your X-ray? I'll have to consult with my colleagues" He wasn't prepared for my visit. It seemed like you would consult your colleagues before my appt. It was a complete waste of my time. I was shocked,stressed and highly disappointed in delivery of this difficult news. I called the office and let them know how unhappy I was. He did call and apologize My hope is they can provide better care . I will not be returning.

I waited less than 5 minutes to get in for my ultrasound (which is a blessing when any waiting is with a very full bladder). After the U/S was sent to the doctors computer, he reviewed it, and was in a room discussing the results within minutes. He was very warm, explained everything, and discussed treatment plans. I was never talked at, but talked with, and Dr. Carbonell answered every question I had before the appointment was over, and was very patient with my questions. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate. This is the 3rd gynecologist I've tried in the valley, and I finally found one that is a keeper. Really great guy. Really great staff. Really great office. I would definitely recommend.

The knowledge that she has is unsurpassed to any Physician I have ever seen, she educates you and makes sure you understand exactly what she is explaining. My son who is 12 yrs old left her office after his first visit and the first thing he said was"I like her, she is such a good doctor". I wished I would have found her earlier because she works hard for her patients and gets what you need done. The hours that she is open is so convenient, evening and weekends, and she will even make house calls if needed. I would recommend her to everyone looking for a doctor with a gentle touch, a wealth of knowledge and the hard work she puts into providing the best healthcare for all her patients.

He will also deliver my daughter at Asante in Medford! He may run late (sometimes 45 min) but that is because he has so many patients since he is such a great and well experienced Dr. (35 years) with so many patients. He will charge you up front a portion of big procedures such as childbirth but keep in mind that is only an estimate til it goes through with your insurance, so do not be shocked and it is not his fault, they will work it out. Never had any issues with him, the nurses and front desk are great too and so personable! Funny and thorough guy!

Horrible experience that has traumatized me for the rest of my life. At 20 weeks gestation Kahn…read moremisdiagnosed my son prenatally. He told me that my son wouldn't make it past utero and if he did he would die within 24-48 hours. He strongly suggested termination. He didn't just inform me of my rights, but he strongly suggested it. He told me that my sons quality of life would be so low that he would never be able to eat, sleep, breathe independently, and that he could just schedule me to come in and terminate. He tried to deter me from seeking second opinions by stating that the only people who could do so are far away. I called him after I got second and third opinions to ask if he still believed in his initial diagnosis, and he told me yes. I had been told by two other doctors including his colleague Dr. Bernard that my son did not have that first diagnosis. I was presented with a treatment option from Dr. Bernard that I pursued. It would entail traveling to another state. Because of the type of insurance I had at the time Kahn told me it was unlikely they'd treat me there. I called my insurance and they told me that they would in fact cover it. By the time they got everything they needed, it was past my window (you can only get the surgery up to 25 weeks). The receptionists at MFM, medical assistant Dawn, and the nurse Rachel Perry at USCF all worked together to make sure that I didn't get in. The nurse Rachel even told me that I should reconsider surgery because my sons condition was too severe, she also tried to talk me into getting an abortion. I'm pro-choice but that decision is mine.Though I understand they have to inform me of my rights but that wasn't the case. I feel it was discrimination because of my insurance, the fact that I'm a woman of color, and single on paper. I feel they thought I was an unfit person to raise a special needs child. My heart still breaks at the fact that I was robbed of a treatment choice that could have been very impactful on my sons outcome. Rewind to my time as a patient at MFM: During my amniocentesis their ultrasound machine shut off for at least a minute and nobody bothered to fix it right away. If you're unfamiliar with that procedure there is a rather long needle in your sac with your baby. Kahn also tried to deter me from getting it. He kept insisting that it wasn't necessary and that I wouldn't get into UCSF. I know a lot of reviews can be driven by emotions which is why I've waited over a year to share my story publicly. My intentions are to open other peoples eyes to the fact that doctors don't know everything. Always seek more! Follow your instincts and don't settle. Unfortunately our medical system is broken and zero consequences were served for the discrimination, failure to treat, and over all horrible bedside manner and communication that was shown to me. In case you're wondering my sons outcome - he is amazing! He's 8 months old now and is kicking his medical journey in the butt. He is nothing like what you told me he would be.He is loved, and love will take him exactly where he needs to go in life. I want to say thank you for this absolutely heart-wrenching nightmare I experienced with you.. Had I listened to you - I would be less knowledgeable of exactly how corrupt and broken our system and society truly is. Thank you for thinking so low of me. My son and I both came out stronger than ever. It's probably hard for you to imagine someone with my sons disability thriving in life. Cheers to you continuing your practice as it if you don't make mistakes, and cheers to me moving forward from this evil place and making it to the other side. I mean it when I say thank you. She is scrupulous to check all past labs and test results, and her ability to tease out a tricky diagnosis is outstanding. This doctor really cares about her patients. I had been misdiagnosed for months before walking into her office. Dr Fried helped me find an exemplary GP and between the two of them I am back on the road to wellbeing. Dr Fried is a gift to the medical profession and a godsend to her patients.
