She was so easy to talk to, not judgmental at all (but assertive when necessary to let me know when things needed to be let go) and I felt a great connection with her. I hired Mary because I knew I was in a rut, stuck in my comfort zone with my style which was neither impressive nor flattering. I really needed help to expand my horizons as far as what I could wear that would still be me but also give the outward impression that I wanted to give. I felt my previous style was tired and I was wearing too much of the same thing. Now, I feel amazing! I love all my new clothes and how Mary created new outfits using my existing wardrobe. The digital wardrobe was an interesting concept, but I did not find it particularly useful in practice. Most of the items I purchased were ultimately returned or sold. There were also purchases I did not feel I had approved, and when I attempted to address these concerns, I did not receive a meaningful response. Because my concerns remained unresolved and not responded to (I had given a week), I cancelled our final meeting as it's awkward having someone ignore you then come to your home. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the working relationship. The fashion suggestions were very basic ie "where a cardigan with a dress" and not what would expect from a stylist, more like something at the mall. This review reflects my personal experience as a paying client. Based on that experience, I would not work with this stylist again.

Not talks about their 20 years of experience but understands what you need. I didn't "feel" the experience felt short. Facts are facts: I was told I would have clothes ready by end of August 2022, I didn't get the FIRST PASS at a board until October 2022. Simple as that. I have the proof and happy to post it along with the letters I sent to Amex as to why they AGREED with my dispute. I am not sure why my experience was unique. You've told me multiple times you worked with international clients, which was clear afterwards, you haven't since you couldn't figure out a timezone between the UK and Hong Kong. You are right, you offered alternative slots: that were at 3AM my time. Ironically 9am UK is 4pm HKT, and 9am HKT is 5pm PST. All the time zones you work in have easy to slot in hours here. IF you've worked internationally. But I had to chase her to get these times. I did not receive a full refund, I had to request it from my credit card company. Why? Because as I kept an "open" dialogue as Kalee suggested below, she was sending me uncouth emails for asking for a refund. She would say she was commited to working with me and tell me how rude I was rather than acknowledging how she made me feel or the fact that she didn't deliver on her timing. If you are not a scam, please prove it to me. Will you work on my boards and deliver what you should have? I would happily pay you if you can show me that you can delivery what you say. Take up the opportunity to suspend your ego to deliver what you say and this review changes to a positive experience. Until then, this review stays.

After I heard her no-nonsense eco-friendly approach to styling (reuse, repurpose, recycle -- THEN buy something new), I knew I wanted to work with her. Of course it didn't hurt that she is also a British Vogue online correspondent and a published author of Closet Control. Any way, she takes her business SERIOUSLY. Prior to her first power session with you, she advises you to get plenty of rest and eat something because it is going to be intense. Wow. Years of clothes and shoes were thrown out, and things were repurposed and reworked to create things I didn't think of putting together.
