My mom lives in Greenfield, and probably will till she dies, so…read more..... She wanted to get her arrangements done ahead of time so the rest of us wouldn't have to deal with it. She called ahead and made an appointment. We met with Todd, he had several booklets and brochures for her to take home and look at. And we discussed several things so she was able to narrow down the plan, price and arrangements she wanted. Over the next couple of weeks she can fill out one of the books and give it back to him, Todd will hold on to it until we need it. Then everyone will know exactly what my mom wanted and how it was to be done. He also explained how to pay for it now so the kids wouldn't have to find the money later and possibly unexpectedly to pay for it. Todd made the meeting easy and answered so many questions. He even mentioned items we hadn't even thought of. This really isn't a bad idea for everyone no matter how old you are. There were so many things to take into consideration- embalming or not, casket, cremation, urns and vaults, and services. And the amount each item would cost. I should have asked for a second set for myself.

My daughter's father passed away unexpectedly, Todd and his staff were there for her and her sisters though out the process. He helped them decided what was the best thing for them financially and mentally. The girls had family there to support them, but Todd was a god send to all of us. Death is one of the hardest things to deal with when you are left behind but you can count on Todd and the Steen Funeral Home staff to be there for you.
