I visited multiple upholsterers and Denny's swatch room offered greater variety than any other. Denny provided counsel and guidance throughout. I'm very fussy; even in my pickiness and requests for modification, he remained pleasant and encouraging. The first project they completed was covering dining room chair seat cushions, which were delivered early. The work was first rate. While I do not do upholstery work, I am a longtime seamstress and quilter; I know fabrics, grain, nap, etc. The fabric application was arrow-straight, seams ample and the tacking secure. I confidently asked them to cover my sofa as well. The sofa fabric was tricky; the weave featured a geometric print that repeated in such a way that required a matching conundrum. Each section had after carefully identifying top and bottom. Denny and Jim's best feat was perfectly matching the geometric components woven into the fabric. I applaud this superior attention to detail that resulted in an especially nice finish. The counter stools, like the dining room chairs were perfectly straight. The irregular stripe added to this challenge. The piping was cut on the true bias. This is not required. A rough bias or even straight cut may be acceptable, but will unfavorably impact the durability. They did it right. Pick up and delivery times were spot on. Both Denny and Jim were professional and kind. Without reservation I give them five bright stars.

My family and I love antiquing, and after visiting most locations in Omaha, decided to make a day…read moretrip of going to Missouri Valley, grabbing lunch, and browsing Missouri Valley Antiques and Classic Cars. We were pleasantly surprised by how huge this location is and the versatility and value of the selection. There was truly something for everyone here, and for perspective I went with my boyfriend (we are 22) and my parents. We all have vastly different interests so antique locations focused only on furniture don't interest me as much while stores with lots of kitschy knick-knacks aren't always my dad's forte -- well, this place truly had it all, AND the prices had us speechless. Maybe we are used to Omaha pricing, but many of these antiques are upcharged insanely not only in bigger cities, but online as well. I found myself purchasing goodies and searching for more info, just to find prices doubled online. We picked up so many great finds and had the best time looking through all the sections. The main building has some amazing and great value priced furniture, china, and all kinds of memorabilia. I got a Marie Antoinette-esque china figure, a Romeo and Juliet soundtrack vinyl (for only $1), a book, and some various glassware pieces. It was only $35 for everything which left me shocked and very pleased. The car section was also super interesting and fun to browse. They have a great selection and the gentleman working in there was very nice and open to questions. The ladies up front were also very sweet and checked in on us. This past week took us from the Des Moines IA metro to Lincoln NE...and then back and forth between…read moreLincoln and Omaha several times. Somehow we ended clear up in Missouri Valley IA...! I think we were searching for "antiques nearby" on Google and the combination of antiques and classic cars caught our eye... So we made the drive up. The shop is basically seperated into three differenct sections. The main section you walk into is the classic antique shop. Standard rows of vendor booths... To the Right of the main shop through a doorway it opens up into another large area...this is a more rustic section. Lots of furniture and rough merchandise. Then there's another doorway in this section that leads you further to the Right to the cars. Some items are priced a little high, some are market, and there are some good deals too. As with any shop who rents space to vendors...it's the vendors who control their pricing. And it's going to vary depending on each seller. The main area is nice enough. The rustic area is kind of like digging through a barn... The classic cars... This section is a little more congested than I expected. Don't expect an immaculate show room. It's more like a carpeted garage space that is stacked bumper to bumper that you have to maneuver your way through. Not quite bumper to bumper literally...but hopefully you get what I'm saying. Lol The staff was exceptionally friendly. A young gentleman greeted up as we walked in the door and gave us direction on the different sections of the shop and how to navigate from one to the other. All in all it's a decent little store worth the stop if you are in the Missouri Valley area.
