The quality of coffee and almond croissant was quite good.. I could say one of the best croissants I have had. Also tried their gelato (ofcourse if you are at a Italian cafe - it's a must to try especially in summer) It tasted amazing! Loved every spoon of the flavours. First order: Hot tea with soy milk. They have a great selection of teas, coffees and barista style beverages. And they offer non-dairy milk. Pleasant and attentive staff. Their pastries and cookies look great. No plant-based pastries offered, so just the tea to go this time. Second order, later in the week: 2 scoops of gelato for my guy and 2 scoops of sorbet (non-dairy) for me. Excellent array of flavours for both! Try the praline caramel gelato, and the mint or pomegranate sorbet. $5.50 for 2 scoops, which is reasonable. Staff again were quick, kind and competent. This is a small shoppe that's packed with things you won't notice until you sit down. Like the decadent cakes on display that you do want to see. Or the cluttered shelf of Knick-knacks for purchase, and an unused popcorn cart near the front door. We preferred the outside sidewalk patio, where dogs are welcome, and you can enjoy the waterfront and Toronto skyline.

Parking is pretty limited, but if you arrive early enough, you can usually find street parking in the surrounding neighbourhood. Despite how busy it was, the service was incredibly quick. There seemed to be plenty of staff working together to keep orders moving efficiently. One bonus that I absolutely loved is that they carry Nutella and Orzo imported from Italy. It's nice knowing I don't have to fly to Italy every time I want to pick some up! Can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu.

Seeing as I t was my first time getting a sandwich, she handed me a slip and didn't really tell me where I needed to go with it. I ended up standing there and waiting until I realized other patrons were paying, and then coming back with their slip. Overall, with all the sandwiches out there it isn't even on my top five. The vibe walking in was like coming over to one of my closest friends. Jes and everyone greeted us and made sure that we got helped with our orders right away. Everyone was really friendly and approachable. The neighbourhood was also a great place to take a stroll around, so if I lived around Roncesvalles Ave and Queen this would be my go to cafe for sure. 10/10
