Our food and drinks arrived quickly. Our server Allyana was super friendly, fun, and helpful. Our fish was the best we've had here recently. This is definitely a neighborhood bar with a casual vibe, plenty of tvs, and lots of beer signs. I like that you can order half fish, half shrimp or they have an all you can eat fish fry with baked cod, fried cod and fried perch. Side choices are mostly potatoes. I love their Cajun fries.

    As served and good looking.

After yesterday's burger disappointment I was craving a burger while I was in town so I started looking on Yelp and there was tons of chain/mall places which I didn't want because I wanted something local like a draft beer and a bar burger and I ended up at Paul's. Pauls is a cool Wisconsin neighborhood bar that is a good size space with the bar, pool tables, game machines and so on in the front while the back is table and chairs for the dining area. There is plenty of flat screens with sports playing. It's not a complete dive but it's not bad, it's not nice like the old fashioned or places like that. They actually had two servers working the room and mine was not as experienced as the other one because she came over to see if she was taking care of me and with that being said my service was not to bad. Here we go again, I ask if I can gat a rare burger and I'm told that that would not be a problem. The menu is typical bar food and I will post a picture and they serve breakfast. I opted for the 1/3 pound bacon burger with lettuce, raw onion and tomato. The draft beer selection is border line it will do with a few offerings that were not the domestic but mostly domestic, I opted for the Wi Amber. My beer came quick and before I could snap some pictures and two sips from the beer my burger hit the table, has to be the fastest order to table I have ever experienced. The bacon cheeseburger looked amazing and you could see how juicy the beef patty was so it was cooled to my liking, not cooked to dry well. I was impressed with how good this bar burger looked and the toppings were fresh with a thick slice of tomato, mound of thin sliced raw onions and the good lettuce because iceberg blows on a burger. The burger was on a lightly toasted/buttered light/soft fresh bun. This was a juicy burger and became messy to eat. The bacon was hearty and stood up to every bite, not the soggy kind where the first bite pulls the whole strip out. I really liked how the cold thick mound of vegys contrasted with the warm meat and soft bun. The reason I'm giving five stars is because this neighborhood bar puts out a burger that is cooked perfect and it will put most burger places to shame. This was a great quality burger which satisfied my crave so I would definitely recommend the burger here.

Stiff bloody, homemade & served w/ a shnit! Go WI!

The food isn't bad, the bartenders over serve. The bartenders don't cut people off. This is extremely dangerous and irresponsible.

It ended up being the perfect quick stop during our break. This classic American diner has really cute retro vibes, friendly service, and a menu full of comfort food favorites. The omelette was OK like 2.5 stars with fresh spinach, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese. The eggs were overcooked leaning heavily toward rubbery. Ingredients were as advertised but took over because of the omelette's texture. The star was the biscuit - layered and buttery perfect with some honey. I ordered the apple pie but it had a crumb topping which was very blond in color with a thick underbelly of floured glue! Yuck I complained and was told that this is how they make their pies and if I wanted a full top crust- well only cherry and peach apple have double crusts. Cherry pie did have a double crust and the filling was almost thick enough to hold up my fork! I'm not sure that the cherry filling was not canned. What do you think? Service was excellent my waitress was attentive and very loyal to the business. She stated she told the cook? about my apple pie concerns and proudly gave me a coupon for a free slice of pie the next time I dined inside. I left the coupon with a substantial tip for her service.

And the truffle seasoning steals the show! I also just tried their tenderloin tips. Nicely seasoned and slightly spicy tips cooked to tenderness and the red wine reduction is oh-so tasty. Don't need the bead, but I'll take it, to sop up the sauce! Our fettuccine Alfredo came al dente and with just the right amount of Alfredo sauce. Not overly seasoned. The chicken was a nice neutral protein added in. There was even enough for lunch the next day. It was our first time on the patio. It's a nice, calm, and relaxing way to have dinner outside. I would definitely return.

I ordered the 8 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and a salad, and it absolutely delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly, super flavorful, and paired so well with the creamy mashed potatoes. Simple, classic, and done right. If you love historic buildings, great cocktails, and upscale American cuisine that focuses on quality ingredients, this one's worth the visit.

Special hats off to our server who allowed us to grab a table in the back. A cute and homey interior with random artwork-it was loud with the full house. An eclectic menu which leans southwestern offers a decent variety of dishes although vegetarians might not have too many options. I wasn't that hungry so opted for the biscuits and the poblano risotto. The chef doesn't hold back on the flavor-bold, spicy, intense. The biscuits were dipped in a smoked chili butter and honey-best eaten with a fork. The risotto was well prepared although a little soupy. Again, big bold flavors. Opted for the house made carrot cake-it didn't disappoint. One of the best I've had. Definitely a place I will come back to as it's a 7 minute walk from home.

We made a 12:00 PM reservation, which was definitely necessary because the place was full. Right off the bat, our server asked if anyone had food allergies or dietary restrictions. When I mentioned I have celiac disease, he confidently assured me they could absolutely accommodate it, which immediately gave me peace of mind. I ordered a strawberry spritz and we shared the gluten-free donuts to start. A huge win for the celiac community is that they have a dedicated fryer, so we also safely shared the truffle fries. For our main entrees, I had the fried rice which was excellent. My husband ordered the skirt steak hash with gluten-free toast and loved it, though it is worth noting for others that it packs quite a lot of spice. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive regarding the allergy protocols. The overall service ran a little slow, but it was understandable given how slammed they were for the Sunday rush. As an added bonus, the restaurant has its own parking lot, making the logistics seamless. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot, especially fellow celiacs looking for a safe and delicious meal!

The bartenders were personable and competent (I watched them deftly make multiple drinks at once). The space is large and well lit, and the outdoor seating looked nice. I'm sure it's a vibe when the temps are a little warmer. I ordered 2 drinks. Haley's Comet - tasty, albeit a little sweet for me. Call Her Daddy - def my favorite, better balanced imo. I ordered the brunch fried rice and it was a letdown. It was advertised as having bacon and there was none to be found. The food was not hot, leaning towards cold. Like it had been sitting out. Oddly the poached egg was perfect. The rice itself was clumped, as if they didn't use dried out rice (what I'm used to for fried rice) As a rule, I tend not to send food back, so I ate the shrimp and let it be what it was. I was sorely disappointed though. I saw people ordering the brunch burger and honestly that looked way better than what I ordered. I'd be willing to give it another go, as the service and drinks were lovely
